Can you write a guide and some ss
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
Yeah, not entirely clear on what you did here. Do you have to be running hydracore to do this?
Effectively creating a filter or shifting the values outside the grey areas where the clipping occurs. To bad not all screens are the same

What to do then? I installed the MaxFu 7.5 hydracore kernel and I noticed a heavier black clipping presence.
I'm on Asylum Phoenix with hydra 7.5.
This black clipping, is not related to gpu driver (I saw the new hydra kernel use new gpu drivers)? I was going to change the kernel with the CM original kernel.....
its hardware issue that can be remmedied eith software tweaks.
bit of a chicken and egg story, you can argue software issue as software tweaks arent prevailing there. However without the hardware issue to woukdnt need software tweaking
chicken egg etc

Does anyone know of any kernel that supports reduced brightness anymore? Voodoo used to before it went all audiophile on us.
The screen brightness is raping my eyes and screen filter makes colours look horrid.
Even typing this is giving me a headache

Try hardcores speedmod kernels.

Totally agree.... I am gonna try hardcore kernel soon
HI, has anyone noticed a pinkish shade towards the bottom of the screen? didnt notice it at first but when i looked at my keyboard, it looked slightly violet. i installed a screen test and on a white background, a light pink/violet shade is visible on the screen. does it need to "break in" or is it a defect?
I think your screen might be damaged.
My phone also has a slight pink tint towards the bottom of the screen and the annoying thing is that the tint also blacks out near-black colours. The weird thing is that I have never had tint problems with original phones yet always with replacement phones.
Pink tint on the phone is a screen defect.
Take it back for replacement

Its seems like the issue known as "Screen Smearing"...
Try Smear Fix or Screen Adjuster from the Play Store... Hope it fixes it...
However a more solid way of correcting the issue is thru a procedure known as "Screen Calibration" but that can only be done thru a Custom Kernel which supports it.... I prefer Perseus Kernel for that....
Good luck!!!

Pink tint is not the purple smearing, it's totally different.

After switching from ktoonesz kernel to agats kernel when I rebooted the colors of the screen look washed out and much less vibrant than usual? Ive tryed changing screen modes and it still looks weird any suggestions?

Probably something with the kernel colors. May be different. You can try using an app that'll let you fine tune them how you like. Such as trinity or voodoo.

Ktoonsez Kernel has Trinity Colours built in. That is why. By switching off of that kernel your new one either doesnt support it, or doesnt have it set to on by default.
Yeah I just switched to fauxs kernel and the colors are back to what I believe is normal lol.

Was watching a review of 4.3 and the reviewer stated this version of Android seemed to really improve the colors/calibration of the N4 screen...
Anyone else notice this as well?...
°N4°
Yes its a known change that happened in 4.3 where they adjusted the colors.
I still prefer custom colors but it is definitely a improvement from 4.2.
Yeah I feel it's ok in my eye and I dont calibrate it

It's better for me... And screen is much more brighter now.

Same, they look mostly the same to me. Not great anyway, even if there is an improvement.
Look somewhat better...
I was taking some pictures yesterday and then held up my phone showing the picture I just took side by side with the real scene, the colours were very close.
I'm guessing a new thread is required for every single detail about 4.3 then?
I mean, it's not like there is a DISCUSSION thread for 4.3 out there already.
Oh, wait, there is? Hehe, silly me, right?
Looks better for me, screen is brighter also.

Wouldnt matter to me as i always flash franco anyway
Colors are the same for me as they were on 4.2.2, I don't see any difference.
N4, stock 4.3 + franco
I counted 7!! 7 threads about the same topic= OS 4.3!! Just, why would you do that?
same colors for me. no difference.
Placebo??
It's like a common syndrome in the iOS/Apple community. Every time after an update, people will tell you that "safari feels snappier"
I compared cloros on a device with 4.3 and 4.2.2 side by side. With same pictures displayed. I didn't notice any changes. The only changes I've noticed was by update from 4.2.1 to 4.2.2.
I don't know of its because I'm using to using franco.Kernel with custom colour settings, but when I briefly used 4.3 I couldn't see any difference.

I loaded up the new N7 wallpaper on my phone (4.3) and my wife's phone (4.2.2), both N4's, brightness at full and at auto. Findings were... They were EXACTLY THE SAME...
So, yeah, no difference... At least to my eyes.

Hi guys,
I've just gotten my 4th S4 Keep swopping and changing from ios to android.
I've noticed if i tilt my screen i get a very prominent green tint on it, is anyone else experiencing this?
I'm running 4.3 and not sure if it was present on 4.2 (flashed it as soon as i got it)
Any thoughts or comments will be appreciated.
Thanks
Maybe ur colour blind? I have never seen the green thingy?

I have the i9505 LTE variant.
And this does exist for me as well.
What i do is install a custom kernel with screen temp support (like faux, ktoonsez kernels) and change from "Normal" to "Cool" that way it normalizes the green to a slight blue.

The tints are normal for AMOLED screens, you're lucky if you get one without.
