Hi
I bought new sd card, MicroSD HC (4) 8GB. I have download new development of SD Android, I have put all files on this SD card, i tap clrcad and haret and botting was started, small font in left upper corner, development logo and reset the phone... All developments looks ok, I have made all steps on other 2GB sd card and all works. Only problem with this new one 8gb Now i am using other 8GB card (old one)...
new sd card must be special prepared for SD developments? No needed nand, no needed magldr etc... Only simple sd development
File system on new card- fat32 / 32kB
i search of help :<

Hi ClubBase, welcome to the forum.
Which sd build are you trying to install?
You could try formatting your card with https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_3/

Hi, I've just got WP7 on my HD2. I had it before, and the current problem was not there, but now I have installed WP7 again, ZUNE and the actual phone does not recognize my 8GB MicroSD HC Class 4 card.
Is there any way of resolving this? As I said, when I had installed WP7 before, Zune regonized the MicroSD card, but now, does not.
Thanks in advance.
I'd follow these instructions (not necessarily all the way), but installing easeus partition will give you a better understanding of whether your sd card has been formated for wp7

Just to say, I do not have an adapter.
ahha - ok, well aside from going and buying one, i'd try the following..
try re-seating sd card.. then
goto settings -> about -> reset phone.
this will reset device and wp7 will try to format the sd card..(all data will be lost obviously)
if that doesn't help, try the above with the sd card removed,(remove the sd card while in wp7, then reset)
allow it to boot up into wp7
re-insert sd card and re-set phone again.
(this is based on experience from formating my sd for dual boot)....
did you have your sd card out when you installed wp7? cause if you did then you would have to do it all over again i think in order for your phone to recognize your sd card.
wp7 make a partition on your sd card using the whole thing. correct?
can you make it so when you install wp7 it only uses 8gb partion on SD card?
Then I would be able to boot ad from sd or ubuntu.
the only tutorial on how to dual boot wp7 and AD, you need a 8gb sd card. I have two 16gb SD cards
Any answers would be helpful
Thanks
i also dont have a sd card reader on my computer

There are a couple tutorials for partitioning your sd card to dualboot wp7 and android. There's a thread in this section and another thread in the hd2 android sd dev section. If the tutorials use a 8gb card as example, it doesn't mean you can't use any other size. I have a 32gb card partitioned.
And you can use magldr in mass storage mode as a card reader, but it will sometimes corrupt the file or card, so if you have no other card reader, use magldr, but if you can use a card reader, I'd go that way.
Hello guys.
I have a HTC HD2 running Windows Phone 7 (on MagLdr 1.2).
I want to DualBoot Android AND WPH. Ive watched a tut on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JTHRAUHZHlo
I did exactly the same and after that i took this Android DesireHD Built: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=881937
It worked fine but android said, that there isnt a sd card in the device. Of course it is, cuz android boots from the sd card. When i remove my sd card, android freezes (of course). I tried to restart and i put the 512 MB data.img in the folder but there was the same problem again..
I tried it with an other card and i pushed the button "mount sd card"
and than it said "u can take out the sd card now" (or something like that)
Plz help me!
I am having the exact same problem. Have you found the problem/solution to it.
thanks.
you both update you magldr that should fix your issues.
so get newest radio, than flsh magldr 1.3
before you update make a complete backup!!
hope you both have the right partition layout on sd card.
(first partition must be fat32 second ext3 or ext4)
hope this helps.
for tut look at forums or pm me!!
Can someone describe the exact steps that are required to mount the SD card when the Android build is being run off the SD card using MAGLDR.

They are running Android from their SD card. It is not going to show a SD card being in the device because Android thinks the SD card is the device......

This will not help them at all, MAGLDR just serves as the bootloader for Android not the OS.
Allso you can not remove your SD card will booted into Android if you are using a SD card build it is running of the SD card not NAND.

So basically I cannot mount the SD card, no matter how it is formatted ?
I totally have this same problem. Neither WP7 or Droid will read the 16 GB card I'm using to run Droid. I think I'm using the DesireHD build also, maybe its that? I can probably see if changing it makes a difference.
I have the same problem. First time i installed WP7 and android, everything was working fine. Then i had to reset WP7 because it kept freezing, i followed the same steps again to dual boot with android and it booted fine but SD CARD is not mounted for some reason. I have tried 3 different android builds with same problem. Any help or tutorials?

This happened to me too with two SD cards. What I did was I run the Partition SD Card from AD Recovery. I forgot the partition layout, just find something that works for you. I was surprised that it has successfully created a partition...this erased everything so I needed to re-copy ROM files to SD card via Card Reader on my PC.
When I did it over, It finally worked. Am now running Sensation XL ROM.

Hi, I recently flashed my 1st ROM, an Android rom to my HD2. I followed a guide in a recent edition of Micro Mart magazine. Everything went great & the rom is up & running, the only problem i'm having is with the SD card. I just get a notification saying 'SD card damaged'.
I've looked around on the forums & i've read numerous threads on SD card problems but I don't know which is relevant to my problem. The SD card works fine in other devices, just not on the Android rom. Im using the Cyanogen 'gpc_hd2_gingerbread_v1.7' NAND rom. Do i have to create an ext3 partition to get my SD card recognised?
Sorry for another SD card thread but this is my 1st time flash & Android rom so I really dont know about these ext partitions and how they are supposed to work!
Thanks for any advice in advance,
Tom
You might want to reformat your SD card. Get your SD card out and format it to fat32(important) using a card reader. Also make sure to backup your SD.
Try that.
Sorry I forgot to mention I tried it from a fresh format in windows, although I've read about the Panasonic formater so I could give that a go when I get home.
Yes you might want to reformat your SD card I suggest you use this software to format it. Also make sure you do a full wipe and format it using Fat 32.
One more thing is have you checked to see if your Android is mounting your SD card? When you boot your HD2 up and you see the Android lock screen appesr do you see it say preparing your SD card at the top of the screen?

Yes I remember seeing it saying preparing but then it just switches to the damaged notification. If I then select that, it brings up a box saying it may need to be formatted but selecting that doesn't seem to do anything, the damaged notification just stays there.
I've got it working. I followed the guide in this thread & it worked 1st time. Just follow it carefully and slowly
Hi;
I use WP7 on my HTC HD2.
Also I use SD Android and i start android from magldr.
When i want to install SD android on my "HP 16 GB Class 10 micro SD card" , i have installing problem.
While installing it freezes. I can't finish installing.
I don't see main screen.
But when i install same android rom on 2 GB micro SD card , there isn't any installing problem.
It runs perfectly.
Why does this problem occur on 16 GB Class 10 HP micro SD card?
Thanks a lot...
first of all this should be in the Q&A section.
is your SD card formatted to run dual boot? was the 2nd partition for Android set to Primary? also you don't install SD ROM, you just copy it to your SD & set magldr to run AD from SD
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1150369

...high classes not necessarily good for android use

If you are dual booting you should have two partions. The android partions should be fat32 32kb cluster size and both partions should be set to primary.
