[Q] Lookin' for stable and fast CM7 rom - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Hi. I am looking for CM7 rom that is fast (2d performance, UI and little 3d performance) and stable (no reboots, no freezes, no app crashes). I have tried DAILY CM7 from milaq, but wifi didn't worked, Tyween's Typhoon doesn't boot at all (don't know why). Please tell me that kind of rom. It doesn't have to be CM7, but I know it as the stablest (on MIUI I had low fps in 2d games, on ICS I have freezez etc., on Sense - same as MIUI)

hi
rom of dorinmax is very fast and stable and customizable at maximum levels but i have try gingerbread of tytung and i say that very very simple and supe responsive very very fast and clean!you chooise
you create a perfect partition and you flash a rom and after 1minute it start......
good luck
ps. you can flash after rom ,cronmod int2ext4 too......if you have partition primary into your sdcard.
for create it,before flash rom,into recovery,into advanced,partition,swap0 and 1 or + partition.after you can flash rom and cronmod int2ext4

the cronmod int2ext+ its better of int2ext4.because is generic.i dont know that partition you have......!

I suggest you to try barbone CM7 by Rick_1995. It's a wonderfull rom. perfect speed , no reboot and simple. actually I think its as fast as my winphone on HD2.

[Q] best rom for htc hero:g2 touch

i can't find rom with no bugs and have all what i need i need rom ( support arabic - fast - 2.1 or higher ) and of course no't (fallah) coz it's piece of **** i'm sorry for saying that but i don't love it , the only rom i love it (SalsaSense_1.3) but it's lagy if any one can tell me how can i make it fast that's will be good or tell me the rom has all what i need tha's will be awesome .
If you want the sense interface you need a 2.1 rom for it to be bug free. If you can live without sense (and lets face it, everyone can) you need to look at some of the 2.2 roms as they are without doubt smoother and more stable than the 2.3 roms that are out.
My rom of choice is Elelinux speedmachine v3, don't know why but v3 > v4 for me anyway. Problems i had were the 3d gallery taking literally forever to load.
notable sense roms would be elelinux's 2.1 rom or villainrom 13. If you dont want a buggy rom stay away from 2.3, because even tho some of these roms are REALLY cool, they just dont match speedmachine for speed #itsinthename.
That salsa port is cool i agree but so slow by comparison, would love to see that lockscreen working on some 2.2 non-sense roms...
thanks for your advice about staying away from 2.3 , of course i can live without sense but i want to tell you something i tried villainrom 13 before and i adore it but the only reason make me change it coz it's not supported arabic if you know version of it support arabic that's will be awesome and i will be thankful if you give me the link .
Look at the RCMix ROM I think it supports more langauges.
thanks for help me , i will download it now
i tried it but arabic in this rom not work well so if you can tell me to try another rom that's will be gr8
With all do respect to you, Fallah 1.4 is the best room for Arabic users, yes it's old but still the best around. I don't know how you said that about it ! works like charm for me .
So far it's hard to find room that support full Arabic ( read/email/browser/Alignment ) , so you have few options left for you. Thu there is a programer who post tools @ce4arab, that add Arabic to the framework of your current room, and you must replace it with the new one that been generated by this tool .
Back to topic : Since you liked " SalsaSense" then download Lite version. Should help your Hero to work faster than normal version.
Come back with more feedback about it, cuz it looks good and I want to try it later
Ah yes, I totally forgot about the Fallah ROM.
i don't need rom supported full arabic i need rom just read arabic in massage and web like salsasense , i tried all salsasense version but only salsasense v1.1 and v1.2 is very fast but there's bug in calls you can't call any one and no one can call you v1.3 is only one has fixed calls but it's very heavy i hope any one can fix salsasense v1.1 and v1.2 , about (fallah rom ) that rom always rebooted that's sucks .
I used Elelinux-7.1.0-Hero-v2.7 Android 2.3.4 or the latest CyanogenMod 7 ROM, LauncherPro Plus v0.8.6, Beautiful Widgets... applied HTC Elegance theme or NTSense theme, select sense like widget from LauncherPro Plus, and senselike clock widget from Beautiful Widgets, now I have the latest 2.3.4 ROM for my Hero and I am that close to have a sense ROM
Other then sense i can recommend Cronos

[Jan 3] [Sense 3.5] Energy™ -.¸¸.·´¯ SensationXL/Runnymede build that just works !

Hi NRG
I have installed your version and i find some bugs.
prozess.com.htc.sdm
prozess.com.htc.home.personalize
prozess.com.htc.album
prozess.com.htc.android.htccontacts
and
prozess.com.htc.android.mms force to close and after some reboots it does not work.
i did a clean install with task29 but it does not work.
and the battery life is not so good but that is not important.
Thx for your work i hope you find the bugs so that i can work with your rom
I use a EU HD2
Cheers Grave
[Jan 4] [Sense 3.5] Energy™ -.¸¸.·´¯ SensationXL/Runnymede build that just works !
Hi NRG
The new Rom works great.i use the dansta recovery because i think your recovery is a little bit to small. The Rom runs fast smooth & stable also is enough memory avaible. No bugs when i install everything works fine
Thx for the great work
Cheers Grave
I also use Dansta recovery since i saw the ROM's thread.
It's great.
Flashed the regular ROM and had wild loop restarts after 5h of use with these settings 8/5/220/10 on a (512 LEO). Though i think it was my fault, i installed AdjBrightness (i know...).
And since i wanted to reflash, i gave the LITE version a try. Both are fast and smooth and i mean it!
BTW radio is the latest though i think i had better performance with 2.14.50.04.
Will see thru more testing tomorrow.

[Q]Advise needed. Best SENSE rom with everything working

For T-Mobile (US) HD2. I'm looking for GingerBread (not Froyo) SENSE (2 or 3 or 3.5) ROM which has everything working, including camcorder. No lags, no glitches and fast/smooth. Does it exist ? I tried some of them
My problem is that some 3.5 ROMS are great (Energy, carl1961), but very slow for me. AOSP ROMs (e.g tytung's) are speedy, but not having ability to link accounts together sucks and overall UI is not as nice. ICS ROMs are full of bugs yet.
So I'm looking for GB Sense ROM now. Any ideas ?
i tried every sense rom on this forum..and the only one that work's everything is rcmix3d but not the latest version..for me it's version 4.0.2

No, there is no good GB Sense ROM. Only things that work are CM7 and MIUI.
All Sense ginger roms have camcorder issue.
edit- actually Arkatis 2.1 ginger rom works great.
also dungphps sense 2.1 roms work great as well.
hope that helps
Thanks, will try both of them
Hy, I have the eu version of HD2. I see a lot of roms with sense 3.5

They're all laggy
Team Blue Droid ROM is the best!

[Q] Any stable Android version for HD2?

Hi All,
I had upgraded HD2 from WM to Android 2.2, however it's unstable lately (rebooted occasionally).
I'd like to know:
1) how and which version I can upgrade to?
2) Is 2.3 more stable than 4.0 now?
Thx a lot.
Boku
Don't mess around and flash this one because HPD6 is the best one at the moment:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=769026
for now just use 2.3 than 4.0.. 4.o is still new for our hd2 and it still under development.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1441462&page=2
So far, it's working ok, but kind of slow and not good whilst using Chinese IME.
Any suggestion in terms of its Chinese input method?
Many thx.
I'm actually using this ROM: NexusHD2
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1434860
it's a really good rom, stable, no bugs (they ares patched frequently, keep the thread).
And for a better fluidity, install Adreno GPU driver (Armv7)

2.3.x or 4.2.x?

Hey guys
i've got a simple question to that who are litte experts in the HD2
First i tested WP7, that was smooth but the market games and apps are so poor.
I'd like Android, so i switched to. Help me please xda, witch android base did u prefer for daily use? I need a stable, fast (even in apps), still supported and continued devoloped rom with a low power consum, mutch free ram as possible (without zram) and DataOnEXT cause the nand is just to small. I also always listen to music, so the HD2 should be loudest as possible from base (scripts are okay but first the true soundchip performance needs to be good)
Should i take a 2.3.x based Rom (i thought there are better and more devoloped) or a 4.2.x (using Pixeldroid atm) ?
Hope u can help
Steps to decide which one works best for you:
1- Download a 2.3 rom and a 4.x rom.
2- Flash one of them, install apps and use normally for two or three days (notice performance)
3- Use any backup app to back up your stuff.
4- Install the downloaded 2.3 rom.
5- Reinstall the app you used to back up, and restore your stuff.
6- Use this rom for about two days and notice performance.
7- Compare the performance of the two roms.
8- ?????
9- Profit!!
Yeah picked HyperDroid now, its amazing.
Thx for the feedback
