Hi
I´m also haveing problems with my nexus 10 reboots ect.
i thinking if any have any expirence with downgrading to the old version 4.1.2
AFAIK there is no 4.1.x on the N10. 4.2 is on the factory image site. That said I flashed 4.2 with minimal apps and it still rebooted and froze. It was better than 4.2.1 but wasn't a cure.

I have a nexus 7 which is rooted with wug fresh toolkit. It shows i am running 4.3 jellybean. I just got an update yesterday that the tablet wants me to install that is for 4.3 jellybean... The notification is in the upper left of my screen and wont go away. Not sure what to do or why its asking me to upgrade to 4.3 because i have it already. Should i install it?
thanks
It's a patch for several problems created by the 4.3 update.
Sent from my Nexus 7(2012) that has zero issues.
But since your rooted it won't update. There is a thread in General Nexus that explains and has solutions.

I too have a nexus 7 (2012) rooted with WUGfresh. It runs fine while 4.3 seems to have all sorts of problems on the Nexus 7 (2013) which is already on update #3. So I'm reluctant to upgrade to 4.3 till they solve its bugs.
What essential improvement does 4.3 bring over 4.2.2?
Ok thanks everyone, ill take a look for the other thread

I manually updated my original Nexus 7 Wi-fi only to Android 4.4 a couple of days ago, using an image from dl(dot)google(dot)com. Afterwards, the About screen said it was build number KRT16O. Today, my Nexus notified me that it had downloaded a system update, and told me to reboot. When I did, it re-optimized all apps and updated a few, then I looked in the About screen and it showed a build number of KRT16S.
Did they already issue a new update, or did I install the wrong one when I did it manually? I don't see an image for KRT16S at the web site.
KRT16S is a new update released tonight. You're fine.

Hi I have a non rooted Nexus 7, I replaced the screen a few months ago and everything was OK. This weekend I got OTA Kitkat and after restarting the touchscreen just stopped responding.
I guess the screen frimware is not compatible with kitkat, is there any way to go back to 4.3? Or how do I change the screen firmware?
Thanks
My nexus 7 2013 upgraded last night and then touch screen seems less sensitive.
A reboot seems to have helped.

I got the kitkat ota on my 2012 nexus 7 3g and the screen seems fine here.
Edit: sorry I don't know if you can safely go back to 4.3

I'm too lazy to backup & unroot & back to stock to get 1.7mb of OTA... Should I just ignore this one?
It seems to be trivial enough.. 1.7mb?

I am, At least until I see reports of the N7 shooting flames out of its tail pipes and burning rubber from the new update.
4.4.2 alraedy?
I just got 4.4.2 update download as well, didn't even receive the 4.4.1 notice yet. Won't install for now, will wait for Franco kernel to be updated as well as bionic/dalvik patches.

Haven't even gotten 4.4.1 yet, still on 4.4. What's the speed of this rolling out. I know it's based on serial numbers, but folks already getting 4.4.2 while some of us haven't even gotten 4.4.1.
Has anyone tried OTA Survival Mode yet with recent (1.55 and above if I am correct) SuperSu Pro? I read about succesful updates from 4.3 to 4.4 and 4.4 to 4.4.1 with our device while keeping root, but also about soft-bricked devices. Would make life easier if it works because I have stock recovery and wouldn't need to temporaryly adb load TWRP via Usb every time after OTA to reroot.

I never saw 4.4.1 but 4.4.2 is installing right now. First I was aware that there was a 4.4.2.
I got it OTA. No difference at all. Except the keyboard noise now sounds like a kids toy.
Edit: After using it a bit I think video performance is a lot better, seems more stable. And YouTube now works properly for me.
just got mine it was 58mb
(i didn't receive the 4.4.1 ota update)
