[Q] Motorola defy - Defy Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am using Motorola Defy with CM7.2 version. And now i am having a problem with dialer. Sometimes its just gets stuck on the screen, everything gets slow and i cannot hear anything on the phone. I tried everything to solve but in vain. The only way out i found is to restart. Is anybody else facing this problem? How to solve it without restarting?

Moved here for better assistance, Thank You.

Keep switching to phone

I don't know if I am the only one with this problem, but I am on my second Titan and still having the same results.
Any cooked ROM I seem to use keeps switching to the phone program when I close a program, turn off the phone, or lock the phone and I can't find a way to stop it. I am worried I will hit the green button and call the last caller by accident.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Has anyone experienced this problem? I search the forum but couldn't find anything similar with any phone.
Thanks in advance.
Try to cook with different dialer see if it helps.
i had the issue with 3.1.2, i reverted to 3.0.4 and i dont have the issue anymore

[Q] standby issue

hello guys
i've a htc wilfire with the nightly #220 and the phone is freezing in standby mode. i've to do a hard reset through the buttons or taking of the battery, that is very annoying, also it seems that the phone its still working, because you can dial to my phone, but i cant receive anything, because the phone doesn't turn on. I've Google on xda and cyanogem, i've found similar problems but with different solutions, One says that is the sdcard, and other says that is from the clockworkmod, I've to flash to 3x one, due to a know issue, i've cloworkmod 5.0 by flash, and 4.0.1...came with revolutionary lol.
well i need some advice here. pls help me
thanks for the the consideration taken.

[Q] NexusHD2 Gingerbread NAND problems

Hi everyone,
So I've tried searching and tried about everything I can think of. I want to make sure that I'm not doing something totally wrong.
So I have the NexusHD2 Gingerbread v3.2a w/ Tytung r13 kernel installed. I keep having issues with the phone having issues during calls. (The phone will sometimes lock up during other functions/apps, but primarily happens with the phone calls.) Often, it'll give me a force close on the com.android.phone program. If I haven't made calls in a while, I will call someone and the phone either never connects, or I can't hear anything. I have to remove the battery and restart to get the phone working, and this sometimes takes several times restarting to work properly again.
I have tried the r14 kernel, reinstalled the ROM, did a clean boot on the ROM, but I continue to have issues. From what I've read, I'm wondering if it could be an issue with bad blocks, but I may be totally off.
Has anyone else had issues with this? Where should I start, so that I am not wasting my time on all kinds of stuff that won't really help?
Thanks in advance!

Unlock restart issue

Hi all, I'm facing issue on my new G2 - It's not big deal, but I really want to get rid off this. My G2 getting restart by itself when I unlock the screen. It doesn't happening every time. But once this happen G2 shows me only LG logo and takes about 15-20 seconds to restart whole interface. Is there anyone who facing same issue? Or anyone with any idea how to fix this?
Thanks in advance!

try doing a factory reset. keep in mind you will lose all info on phone.
I have same problem too. I tried factory reset but problem not solved
Same here as well. Just got the phone yesterday and today it rebooted about ten times already! Not including twice after I did a master reset. I'm thinking about returning it.

I tried factory reset and so far so good. I'll update you to tomorrow.
So from yesterdays factory reset issue doesn't appear yet. So for me solved. I hope. Very much.
I solved the problem.
The problem was about Gmail 4.6 upgrade
Downgrading to 4.5 version worked
I found EXACTLY the same problem. I did not want to teset my phone, it's like resetting my life!
Luckily, reverting to the Gmail app 4.5 literally solved my problem instantaneously.
I have a Verizon version.

[Q] Random Touch Issues

Hey All,
Recently My Nexus 4 is having some touch issues.
The touch, led, color everything is fine, but the touch screen is dead after a reboot, but it fixes automatically after 3-4 reboots.
This Happens Every Time I Reboot Or Shut The Phone Down.
I Have tried changing roms, but no luck.
Anyone Care To Show Me Some Solution?

I don't know if it will help in your case but generally a good start to fixing problems is reflashing a stock factory image. As I said I don't know if it will help but it won't hurt to try if you haven't tried it already.
