New to U8800H!

Hi, i recently bought a Huawei U8800H in Hong Kong, and wanted to know if there are any updated official firmware english or spanish, because its filled with bugs and many many thing in chinese (despite changing lagauage on the phone).
My phone has this firmware: U8800H V100R001HKGC104B135
Can I put any U8800/U8800H firmware on it? Any tutorial/links?
Are U8800/U8800H interchangable?

Hi, as nobody ansewer yet, I found out they U8800 & U8800H are not firmware interchangeable. So Im on the quest of finding out the latest and best firmware for U8800H, and it appears that this one U8800H V100R001C00B136CUSTC38D001 (Malaysia MAXIS) is the correct one. The problem is that I cant download it anywhere (the links are invalid or down).
Could someone help me please?

I put u8800h firmware on my u8800 so it does work, dunno it it works the other way though.

Is there any procedure to fall back to older/original firmware in case of something goes wrong? ? On other forum I read about Superclock but it is incompatible with U8800H

If you need to restore back to original firmware, just place the 'dload' folder into the root of your SD Card, boot into bootloader by holding power and Vol +/- at the same time. And your phone will do the rest.

Thanks, took a chance and flashed it and it worked OK, it took 10 minutes aprox. I almost died in the process...
I hope when "Impulse 4g" (U8800H) gets released on US, it will be Android 2.3.

I've accidentally flashed my U8800 with another version of the firmware and I would like to flash it back to the original firmware that it came with (HK PCCW) firmware.

However the links I can find seems invalid. Can anyone help to upload this firmware? Your kind help is appreciated.

You can flash it again by getting firmware into your sdcard /dload folder, for firmware check your inbox for my message

When Huawei will launch 2.3.5 for U8800H?

Hi friends
I have U8800H model and I had flashed my U8800H with following firmwares;
1- U8800 V100R001C00B138SP04(Normal)
2- U8800V100R001C00B517G001(Beta1.0)(Overseas Normal)(Gingerbread)
3- U8800V100R001C00B518G001(Beta1.0)(Overseas Normal)(Gingerbread)
although these ROMs or firmware for only U8800 model but I did it accidently, it was working fine on U8800H only I had faced two problems as follow
1- Mobile internet was not working as I had been using it with WiFi connection
2- When I updated 2.3.5 I faced same problem with screen looping if you restart phone but if you switch off/on its working.
So friends can any one share information about 2.3 Gingerbread for U8800H
NOTE: U8800V100R001C00B518G001(Beta1.0)(Overseas Normal)(Gingerbread) is for only U8800 model.

and so now my phone got ideos boot screen and then automatically shutdown...

That also happened with me first time but now my device is use to upgrading and downgrading with different ROMs

Check phone version / exact sub-model, here are three hardware versions of Y300:
1.Huawei Y300 (T8833) - TD-SCDMA / China Mobile
2.Huawei Y300-0000 (U8833) - WCDMA China Unicom
3.Huawei Y300-0100 (U8833) - WCDMA International
check version (product ID) with this code : *#*#1357946#*#* , dial button (green)
there is international version ROM - Y300-0100 at Huawei site, you probably downloaded it ...
- put "dload" folder from archive on formatted micro-sd card's ROOT
- put micro-sd card into phone
- start phone in download mode = Press the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN key, and then press the
POWER key to power on the phone and enter the Software Upgrade Mode
(taken from upgrade manual - which is found in archive, pdf ... )
- wait for finish ...
p.s. if not accepting firmware - means it's not international version ....

HUAWEII Y300-0000 question
Hi,
I have HUAWEII Y300-0000 phone I've bought in china.
Managed to unlock it thanks to your manual.
It comes with ROM: Y300-0000V100R00C17B180 (Android 4.1.1).
The only problem I have is that sometimes when I try to dial I do not manage to establish call (the call is tried to be established and then disconnects). When this happens there is also problem in incoming calls. I manage to receive the incoming call but when answered the connection drops after several seconds.
My question is whether this is an issue you are familiar with.
If so, do you have any suggestions?
Are there any new ROMs for this version that maybe handle these kind of issues.
How can I install new ROM on already rooted phone?

I rooted my phone it works properly. Everything working fine. I just have have one problem that how to expand its ram. Plz tell me.
I tried with 2gb class 6 card with swalpt expander but it show nothing in it.

hi there, i believe you can only flash the official firmware upgrades from a official ROM because when you check for upgrades to the firmware it gives you a option to install from local storage which i have yet to see in a custom ROM. in future i would always recommend a backup before installing any other ROM

how to get or hack bootloader code if my phone is bricked.
or
if you can upload any custom or stock rom to install in stock recowery(i can go to recowery and i can force upgrade but fails at step 2/2).
recowery name is ''android system recowery <3e>''.
or if i can instal any custom recowery now i install rom trought this custom recowery.
WRITE ANY OPTION TO WAKE UP MY PHONE.

i install chainfire 3d and when i instaling driver my phone is shut down and i can wake up him from that it only show huawei ascend logo i can go to stock recowery and i can force upgrade but fail at ste 2 can you fix it

Search playstore I forget the excat name of the app. I used swapit(the name has changed now I forget the name) this uses your sd card as ram but do take note that the more u use your sd card the quicker it can go bad.

I bought on the internet mate 8 4 gb ram 64 bg NXT L29-C636.
I updated FIRMWARE to b180 then b330.
I had read that to upgrade to b563 (android 7) I had to do downgrade to b211. I tried and the phone stuck.
It goes into e-recovery and can not install any firmware. Help
I have read that I have to install an original firmware. You can help me?

I did the same and experienced the same. Search for "DC phoenix method 2". Basically you repair it via loading a special huawei firmware (with partition repair I believe). Your device will then boot into this limited, old version of android that comes with some diagnostics tools + SD upgrade functions. Use the latter to load your update.app.
Specifically *in our case* (L29C636 330->211 then stuck), I had success to load 321 and let it OTA to 330 and then 563. I could not do 211 or 585, only 321. Perhaps 330 would do too but did not try.

Update P9 Lite from Android 6 to 7

Hello everyone, I have a P9 Lite which was issued from Vodafone Europe (originally VNS-L21C02B128), and I'd like to update it to Android 7.
Since none of the stock ROMs I tried would pass the verification when updating via the Project Menu, I found and flashed a newer Android 6 which works fine apparently - build number is currently VNS-L21C900B170.
Trouble is all of the newer ROMs are still not working. During the verification phase, it says they are not compatible with the phone.
Any ideas what is the simplest safest way to get to Android 7 ? Thanks for the help.

- Unlock the bootloader
- on android 6 rebrand to C432 global
- in TWRP install fullOTA-MF-PV VNS-L21C432B370
- then you can upgrade to a higher version by installing a Service ROM via dload method (it will lock your BL again).
The problem is probably with your current build number - the C900 is fake firmware, incomplete or incompatible. I'm afraid you won't be able to unlock the bootloader or rebrand the phone with this build.

Hello Alf, I did try VNS-L21C02B346 but it didn't work, both with the original and the newer ROM. I also tried the "SERVICE Full Repair VNS-L21 C432B381" from here, also with no luck.
The current B170 ROM was labeled as "VNS-L21C432B170" on the site I got it from, but now it shows as C900. This one updated with no problems via the Project Menu upgrade command, the only one to work so far...
I will see later about unlocking the bootloader thanks.

You can't install C432 on C02 and vice versa without changing oeminfo, that's why you now have a C900 region and failed verification.

Thanks but I don't know hot to change oeminfo. Can I use SRK Tool ?
Also is there a free way to unlock the bootloader ? Is it this one ?
Does the phone have to be dissasembled, or is there a software method as well ?
Is dc-unlocker free for phones with android 6 and 7 ?
