New to U8800H!

Hi, i recently bought a Huawei U8800H in Hong Kong, and wanted to know if there are any updated official firmware english or spanish, because its filled with bugs and many many thing in chinese (despite changing lagauage on the phone).
My phone has this firmware: U8800H V100R001HKGC104B135
Can I put any U8800/U8800H firmware on it? Any tutorial/links?
Are U8800/U8800H interchangable?

Hi, as nobody ansewer yet, I found out they U8800 & U8800H are not firmware interchangeable. So Im on the quest of finding out the latest and best firmware for U8800H, and it appears that this one U8800H V100R001C00B136CUSTC38D001 (Malaysia MAXIS) is the correct one. The problem is that I cant download it anywhere (the links are invalid or down).
Could someone help me please?

I put u8800h firmware on my u8800 so it does work, dunno it it works the other way though.

Is there any procedure to fall back to older/original firmware in case of something goes wrong? ? On other forum I read about Superclock but it is incompatible with U8800H

If you need to restore back to original firmware, just place the 'dload' folder into the root of your SD Card, boot into bootloader by holding power and Vol +/- at the same time. And your phone will do the rest.

Thanks, took a chance and flashed it and it worked OK, it took 10 minutes aprox. I almost died in the process...
I hope when "Impulse 4g" (U8800H) gets released on US, it will be Android 2.3.

You can flash it again by getting firmware into your sdcard /dload folder, for firmware check your inbox for my message

[Q] Installed wrong firmware (not bricked...) - cant upgrade FW

Hi all! I have some troubles... I had a firmware 2.2.2 and I want to upgrade to Android 4. So I downloaded 2.3.5 from official web site - huawei.etc. ... firmware, but it doesnt work. So I founded somewhere a 2.3.5 firmware and installed it, but its a wrong firmware, because its only for Huawei U8800. Now I have Huawei U8800 Pro with only U8800 firmware (wifi doesnt work, etc...). Phone is not bricked, I can use factory reset, but when I have a pink screen and plug phone to USB -> nothing happen.
I tried upgrade this firmware to 4, with firmare --- HUAWEI Ideos X5 firmware(U8800pro,Android 4.0,V100R001C00B928,General Version) - unofficial release version / 2012-08-07 --- but I have only this information from log:
index 0 EBR not same
index 455 not same--old:e4,new:04
index 456 not same--old:01,new:00
parti err,new startsec=0x1e4a8,old=0x4a8;size:new=0x6000,old=0x6000
new partition same as old.
The update partion process success!
dload_sd_ram_data_proc->(retry >= DLOAD_RETRY) failed!
When I am trying change firmware to 2.3.5 version for U8800Pro I have in log only dload_sd_ram_data_proc->(retry >= DLOAD_RETRY) failed!.
I was and I am searching forums, Internet, but anywhere I cant find some information how to resolve this situation.
Could you please help me? Thanks a lot!

When I bought a phone ...In settings -> About Phone... I had a U8800 Pro, and same at the back, under battery I have U8800 Pro. Now I have ...In settings -> About Phone... U8800 ... so I think its cause wrong U8800... As I sad Wifi and Bluetooth dont work...

You can try the update here:

It worked on case of regular U8800 which was flashed with pro' s rom(without brick).
So try it and after flash the suitable rom for your model.

Check phone version / exact sub-model, here are three hardware versions of Y300:
1.Huawei Y300 (T8833) - TD-SCDMA / China Mobile
2.Huawei Y300-0000 (U8833) - WCDMA China Unicom
3.Huawei Y300-0100 (U8833) - WCDMA International
check version (product ID) with this code : *#*#1357946#*#* , dial button (green)
there is international version ROM - Y300-0100 at Huawei site, you probably downloaded it ...
- put "dload" folder from archive on formatted micro-sd card's ROOT
- put micro-sd card into phone
- start phone in download mode = Press the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN key, and then press the
POWER key to power on the phone and enter the Software Upgrade Mode
(taken from upgrade manual - which is found in archive, pdf ... )
- wait for finish ...
p.s. if not accepting firmware - means it's not international version ....

HUAWEII Y300-0000 question
Hi,
I have HUAWEII Y300-0000 phone I've bought in china.
Managed to unlock it thanks to your manual.
It comes with ROM: Y300-0000V100R00C17B180 (Android 4.1.1).
The only problem I have is that sometimes when I try to dial I do not manage to establish call (the call is tried to be established and then disconnects). When this happens there is also problem in incoming calls. I manage to receive the incoming call but when answered the connection drops after several seconds.
My question is whether this is an issue you are familiar with.
If so, do you have any suggestions?
Are there any new ROMs for this version that maybe handle these kind of issues.
How can I install new ROM on already rooted phone?

I rooted my phone it works properly. Everything working fine. I just have have one problem that how to expand its ram. Plz tell me.

hi there, i believe you can only flash the official firmware upgrades from a official ROM because when you check for upgrades to the firmware it gives you a option to install from local storage which i have yet to see in a custom ROM. in future i would always recommend a backup before installing any other ROM

how to get or hack bootloader code if my phone is bricked.
or
if you can upload any custom or stock rom to install in stock recowery(i can go to recowery and i can force upgrade but fails at step 2/2).
recowery name is ''android system recowery <3e>''.
or if i can instal any custom recowery now i install rom trought this custom recowery.

i install chainfire 3d and when i instaling driver my phone is shut down and i can wake up him from that it only show huawei ascend logo i can go to stock recowery and i can force upgrade but fail at ste 2 can you fix it

Search playstore I forget the excat name of the app. I used swapit(the name has changed now I forget the name) this uses your sd card as ram but do take note that the more u use your sd card the quicker it can go bad.

Huawei P8 Lite questions

Hey guys, having some issues with my P8 lite which is recently purchased and is a great phone. I rooted it, and played around (as you do) installed busybox and played with apt-get and, well messed it up haha. Basicly I just want to unroot, stock reset the phone and start from scratch.
So, my question is.
Do I need to reinstall the firmware (ROM) in order to unroot?
And where can I get a stock fw for the P8 Lite ALE-L02, the original firmware to reflash? Can I flash the L21 on the L02?

I also have a new phone but have one minor issue with it.
the edge of the phone is blinking red - a red square is blinking when the cpu is working a bit more i guess.
it is really anoying and i would like to disable this. do not know if it was from the start but i reckon it wasnt.

first things first I never had been in the P9 Lite Beta I brought the phone and I have never installed any roms or so on
my question is it seems my phone is branded to the Germany Telekom
