Music lockscreen widget flaw - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is anyone's lockcreen widget stuck?? The music isn't just paused. I cleared the queue in the music app, and clicked back instead of home, but the lockscreen widget persists.
Edit: You have to actually close the notifications to remove the widget. Very unintuitive. Why can't I just close stop the music, clear the queue, and back out of the music player to remove it?

Wtf no calendar or music widget?

So I just noticed there is no calendar or music widget? What do you use or is there a way to get them?
Sent from my Samsung Vibrant.
You get them the same way you get other stuff you don't have. You get them off the Internet/Android Market.
I use MusicMod for my music widget. I don't use calendars so perhaps someone else can help you there.
I don't use a music one because it's built in to the lockscreen if I'm listening to something. For calendar I use android agenda widget
Sent from my Samsung Vibrant using XDA App
Here is the stock 2.1 music player with widget. Just transfer the apk to your sd and install.
I use the widget on the lock screen. Why clutter up your home screen + waste resources when there's one already built in to the lock screen?
Another great option is "cubed" in the market. Best player IMO, but there's nothing wrong with the stock one.
Calendar widget, I don't know. Never really thought about it! I agree, it should have one built in.
For a good calender widget find "jorte" has tons of options.
Catchin' the VIBE on the XDApp
The daily briefing can be used as a calendar widget if you use google calendar.

How do you get the music widget on the lock screen?
Pure Music Widget and Pure Grid Calendar are both great! Pure Grid is like the HTC Sense calendar.

It should come stock on the vibrant open your music player and start playing a song then when you lock the screen it will be on the lock screen when you go to unlock it.
I also use the controller in the lock screen. Instead of a widget they put the quick controls in the notification put-down. You just have to open the music player initially.
I use the Calendar Clock widget. It's ok.
doubleTwist is a good player and has a widget.
when my phone is unlocked i drag down the notifications panel when music is playing and there are music controls. also in lock screen mode you can drag down a little window pane while locked with music controls (phone remains locked).
The player in the notification menu while the phone is locked is no good for people who like to lock their phone with a pattern. doubleTwist has a good widget, but only pause and skip forwards buttons, no skip back. And I have as yet been unable to make the widget background transparent...
Try the app called 3, search Filipe Abrantes in the market.... It has a pretty sweet widget and its a bad asz music app...

music lockscreen or volume track control?

anyone know how to set the volume to change tracks on spotify or have the music controls appear on the lockscreen?
I could use an answer to this question as well.
i dont believe there is one on the stock lockscreen but there are 3rd party apps that allow you to customize your lockscreen, put widgets and apps on them
a great one is WidgetLocker Lockscreen

Music Controls In Notification Bar?

I've done some googling and I can't really find anything. I'm just looking for an apps I guess that puts the music controls some where accessible from within an app.
Coming from iOS all you have to do is double tab the home button and you could get to music controls. Is there any app that give you music controls like in the notification tray or in the task switcher?
Thanks

Use the Widget option in the setup, remove a few icons from the bar, then add music controls.
If you use Google play music, this is supported natively... but only while music is playing.

Remove Music app widget from Lockscreen

Hello,
Is it possible to remove the ugly grey Music widget from lockscreen? And only use the other one (which I think comes with the google play player)?
Nice -> https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-...cnRgtigs/w500-h823-no/2014-10-07-17-02-14.png
Ugly -> https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-...SbP62moA/w500-h823-no/2014-10-07-17-01-12.png
Using only google player is not an option because I like the folder browser in Music app
Any ideas?
Using G2 - Stock/Not rooted (Kitkat)

Its probably a widget, just disable widgets on lockscreen settings.
No, i dont think that solve it, i also have this issue, i dont want my lockscreen wallpaper changed to album art while playing music, any tricks to disable it?

Lockscreen widgets & music control

When lockscreen widgets are enabled and you are playing music is there any way to mod. the lockscreen to show music control on the main widget page rather than swiping to the right to access them? I have put the samsung lockscreen page in the trash in order to enable CLock widget. Now that i have done this when i turn on the screen it goes directly to CLock and i have to swipe to the right to see music controls. Any one now how to fix or have a lockscreen app that has music controls?
I use Dynamic Notifications app for my lockscreen which does include lockscreen music controls that function nicely.
I am experiencing this as well, any solutions for this? same problem, i need to swipe to the right to show the music controls
