When I receive an incoming call, I have to overcome an old habit to tap the left to answer (from my older non smart phones). Is there a way to change the incoming call answer/decline buttons to have the answer button on the left and the decline on the right as opposed to the current default setup answer -> right, decline -> left.
Thanks.
Give this app a go. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lowveld.ucs
I think it can achieve what you'd like.

Hi,
Anybody knows how to reject an incoming call with an SMS?
I used to do it all the time with my Nokia, but cant understand how to do it in nexus 1...
thanks
Reject++
If you are looking for an app to let you reject incoming calls with predefined or custom SMS and setup a reminder to return a call as well..
so check Reject++
You can:
- Reject a call with SMS, Reminder, Or Both.
- Convenient Slider on top of incoming call screen, slider it up and go with Reject++
- Smart SMS Templates with "Tags"
- Smart Reminders Scheduling Engine.
- Works with mobile screen locked or OFF
- Notifications works no matter if the app is active or not.
Check much more Features & Screenshots for Reject++
Ah, good to know. I was looking for that functionality as well...
Cool! I've been looking for this type of app. Thanks!

ICS has this feature out-of-the-box. If you are willing to install an alpha ROM then go get it from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1366897
Yeah.. this ICS rom is awesome (except no camera). I'm using the SMS reject feature.
Nice lil app

I've been getting a lot of calls lately from blocked numbers of people messing around. I know there are services out there, but is much rather pay for an app. Does anyone know of a good one on the market?

AFAIK, there isn't an app to do this. I was under the impression that when a private call comes in only the switch knows it's origin.
Is there an app to send block calls and even unknown numbers (people not on your contacts list) directly to voice mail?

I think Call Blocker or call blocker lite has the option to pickup then hang up instantly or send to voicemail. Check it out
Call me paranoid but I'm a bit distrustful of any app asking for call phone and full internet permission. Thanks for the suggestion though!
Lol i completely forgot If you're running DarchDroid i know you can goto Settings > Call Settings > scroll to the bottom > Blacklist
Edit: but its only for numbers you enter yourself tho, forgot about that aspect of what you were looking for :L
Hi There!
I was wondering if there were any mods to make the dialer/keypad better?
I hate the one that is stock in eclair because there is a delete where there should be a 0. Also it drives me nuts that when you start typing a number and the contact comes up automatically, you can't click once for it to dial, you need to select it then hit dial!
Much appreciated.
I feel stupid, was searching market for dialler not dialer. Can someone recommend one, there are millions!
I would like to know this too...
Coming from an iPhone its a pain to have to select contact then press call on android. (My only android gripe tho!)

You can swipe left on the contact name to dial the contact, or swipe from right to left to send a sms message.

windows mobile had a better dialer! it used call history along with contact list to find matching contacts....really miss that. Another infuriating thing about android is that it chooses home number as default instead of mobile number. besides, i cant tap on the matched contact to bring up options to dial the required number....plain sucks!
every firmware flash, you need to sit and set default numbers all over again...frustrating! but apart from this, android just rocks \m/
I like dialer one from the market.

Hi Guyz
I just bought an Atrix last week, coming from a captivate.
Where do i find the total call time in the Atrix.
I mean the place where it says
incoming call:
outgoing call:
total call:
In the captivate , all i had to do was hit the menu button in the recent call lists.
I could not find this anywhere on the Atrix.
Can anyone help!
It tells you right after you end the call, and you can also find it when you click on recent calls. It will be next to the phone number of the call.

Click to collapse
I am not talking about a single call. Am talking about the total call timers till date!
is there any way to replace the Dialer app on Oneplus2 (OxygenOS 3.0.2)?
the reason i need it replaced is that in the hebrew lng the swipe direction to answer or reject an incoming call has been switch.
in the previous os version to answer a call you had to swipe right and to reject a call you would swipe left.
now it's backwards left to answer and right to reject and it drive me crazy i have rejected so many calls since the upgrade that i think i'm gonna get fired.
i have tried to replace the Dialer.apk in the priv-app system folder with the google Dialer i ended up restoring my phone (the phone rang but i had no option to answer, replacing it back didn't do the trick).
any ideas how to get it working?
BTW Sorry for the bad english
anyone?
use dialer app from play store
it's not what I'm asking.
the problem is that the incoming calls.
a dialer from google will not be used for picking up incoming calls, the stock will.
