If you are looking for an app to let you reject incoming calls with predefined or custom SMS and setup a reminder to return a call as well..
so check Reject++
You can:
- Reject a call with SMS, Reminder, Or Both.
- Convenient Slider on top of incoming call screen, slider it up and go with Reject++
- Smart SMS Templates with "Tags"
- Smart Reminders Scheduling Engine.
- Works with mobile screen locked or OFF
- Notifications works no matter if the app is active or not.

ICS has this feature out-of-the-box. If you are willing to install an alpha ROM then go get it from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1366897
Yeah.. this ICS rom is awesome (except no camera). I'm using the SMS reject feature.
Nice lil app

With me everything is working properly when the phone is locked only on the screen touch a send a message and that's all
Hmmm,...I have it checkd but I don't believe anybody ever received an sms from me when I reject a call. Weird,..
Try QSMS To Buddy:FullFeatured free app from android market
It takes care of the situation you have explained. It not only allows you to send sms during rejected incoming calls. But it also allows the same when someone else rejects your calls (outgoing rejected): a feature never seen before.
Interestingly you have ability to modify the messages right when you are rejecting the call and sending the sms. e.g. instead of saying "call you back later" you can change it to "call you back in a min"
Demo at youtube: search : "QSMS : Quick SMS To Buddy Android App by Onion Systems"

QText app has been on my Fav list
QText is the most professional application in the category. I tried many apps and none of them allow you to do below two things
1. Change the message before sending it: e.g. send "will call in a minute" instead of "will call you back later"
2. Send text for outgoing calls as well.
Auto text widget is also included.

Hi everybody,
I had this function before upgrading to JB 4.1.2, but nolonger now?
I wonder if someone can tell me how to get it back.
Thanks.
Works fine on WM6.5 & if need enhance the possible options further then Maicall is probably the answer as can handle sms replies as a whole & individually per number etc & rules can be listed in order of checking.
Far better than any of the Android options I have tried & reminds me why my daily work device is still an HD2 on WM6.5.x .
I just wasted an hour trying out various call log apps on the my phone and they all seem to suck.
There's not an app that actually bunches up your call log by contact name/phone number? I know the default dialer on my 2.1 stock based sense rom has basically that but it's a bit buggy when trying to delete the call history of a single number...
So I'm just hoping I overlooked a possible solution to my issue.
Thanks

TimeCatcher
The setting you are looking for is in menu>more>catch calls. Set by default. You then have to "catch calls" and set if you want all calls or just "clients"

Please suggest me with good & working call recorder & Anti theft application for my optimus one p500 froyo 2.2.2
I don't know about a call recorder app but for anti-theft use Prey, it's awesome
anti thef: prey, great app
Try AndroidLost for anti theft
Cerberus. For call recording, NFC, not using.
Total Call recall is great for call recordings but its really expensive..

lol i didnt see the post date above above me..
You can use Tasker for both. Set a profile to record a call from one preset number, more numbers or any number. You can chose to record only mic, incoming call, outgoing call etc. For antitheft you can set profiles for different tasks. like starting wifi, gmaps and sending an e-mail with location, deleting sd card, apps, agenda, take photos without the holder to know and send them via e-mail etc. Actions can be triggered by sending to the phone an sms with a predefined text from a preddefined number or combinations of the above. I am still learning how to use it but it`s the perfect app for any task, using all phone capabilities and only your imagination is the limit.
When I receive an incoming call, I have to overcome an old habit to tap the left to answer (from my older non smart phones). Is there a way to change the incoming call answer/decline buttons to have the answer button on the left and the decline on the right as opposed to the current default setup answer -> right, decline -> left.
Thanks.
Give this app a go. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lowveld.ucs
I think it can achieve what you'd like.

Hi,
Prior to 4.2.2 Android gave me the option to use a different dialer/phone app as default when making calls (from e.g. a contact card). This could be Skype, or Lynch for instance, the same way messaging allows me to have Whatsapp as default instead of SMS. This option has now gone away which is a huge irritant to me. Does anyone know if there is a way to get this functionality back?
I have a brilliant ap that routes all outgoing calls through our company's cloud PBX (thereby making international calling dirt cheap), but it needs to grab the call as it is being made. It's killing me that ths feature has gone away...
Any help would be appreciated,
M
Working with the latest Omega ROM, (Ver 11, 4.2.2), and I had to choose my dialer (installed Dialer one).
Usually when I working with SIP dialer, it won;t show in the default program, just integrate with the dialer (after dialing its ask you what service to use - phone or SIP).
