[Q] Defy+ - How to bypass Motoblur - Defy Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have googled a ton, but cannot see how to bypass Motoblur setup on the Defy+
Other Motorolas can be bypassed using Alt-E Alt-E NOBLUR but the Defy+ has no Alt key.
I don't want to root / apply custom mod as these are company phones shared amongst staff.
Chose the Defy+ as they have better antenna and are water/dust resistant. (These phones are going to Aussie outback).
If anyone has instructions or a work around, be much appreciated.

Hi Buddy,
The easiest way to "bypass" the Motoblur setup is to prevent it from connecting to the net.
To do this, have an non-activated SIM card, so the device cannot connect to server via 3G.
Then, it is simply the matter of selecting "No Data Plan" and skipping through the steps.
However, this will NOT increase performance significantly, if you are trying to maintain the stock firmware.
Australian Telstra Defy+ Motoblur setups are easily avoidable, if you follow the steps above.
Good Luck,
neiljain

Makes sense... Never thought to try that.
Main reason I want it bypassed is that these handsets will be shared amongst a pool of users, so Motoblur makes no sense. (And would be a pain to administer).
However tried this - I just said no data plan, but now it's prompting me for a WiFi connection and I can't proceed. (Can't hit Next without selecting "Setup WiFi" If I select it, I cant proceed without joining to WiFi network.
Boohoo.

Neither of the above work.
Choosing no data plan then insists I connect to a WiFi network and won't let me proceed without setting one.
Hitting menu key, I only see Emergency call, Set up APN, Set up WiFi and IMEI.

Hi Buddy,
I know that you really want to avoid rooting and installing a custom rom.
However, can I suggest you to flash an alternative SBF that allows you to skip Motoblur.
It will look exactly the same, except for any service provider applications.
If you have the Telstra Defy+ handset, I can recommend you a FW that works.
Thanks,
neiljain

Think you are right. Could you mail the FW link to me? sss _at micromine.com
Appreciated.

Hi Buddy,
I have personally used the Retail Taiwanese firmware which works with Telstra. I have not tested 3G though as I don't need it.
Note that if you do flash the new firmware, there is no way as far I know to restore it back to the original firmware. Also, the phone warrantee will become void. If you still want to proceed, the link for the firmware is http://bit.ly/QXwNEw. You will need to flash it using RSD Lite in bootloader mode.
I posted the link on XDA for other people to get the link

Thanks, I went ahead and activated with a generic support email account we use.
Didn't really want to custom mod it, last thing I need is people with issues whilst on critical support calls with our clients.
BTW - Motoblur doesn't like activating through a SQUID content filter proxy either
(Had to either mod the filter or use phone network to activate.)

Defy plus, Defy +, Bypass MotoBlur - SUCCESS!

Well, if anyone is still using Defys in 2017... This may be of interest.
I had this same problem. The Defy plus, MB526, ROM presents the Swype keyboard using the Menu key at the MotoBlur screen. This stopped me and everyone else who has tried, entering the Motoblur Bypass sequence, as there is no ALT key. There may be a Swype sequence, but I couldn't find it, though I did get into something somehow, as I got a message "Try again" at one point. I tried for a while, as I'm not one to give up.
In the end I figured out a way...
Forget the Swype keyboard. You'll need a SIM installed, but it doesn't have to be active. An old one is ok. Then do this:
At the Motoblur activation screen, proceed like this:
Start > Next > Next => "Data Settings"
Select "No Data plan"
Next => "Connection needed"
Select "Setup a Wi-Fi connection", Next => Wi-Fi screen.
Click Wi-Fi enable check box to turn on Wi-Fi.
Choose "Add Wi-Fi network"
A Data entry screen will appear, including Network SSID textbox. Don't bother entering anything.
Long Tap in the textbox. " [Edit Text] Input method" should appear.
Tap Input method, select "Multi-touch keyboard".
Voila! Swype keyboard disabled!
Now press Back > Back > Back until you return to the "Welcome to MOTOBLUR" screen.
Now Long Tap the Menu key (4 squares, bottom left)
The normal Multi-touch keyboard should appear. Yay!
Now proceed with the Alt-E, Alt-E, BLUROFF sequence as in earlier posts.
After the last F, there is a bit of a delay. Then, you should be in!
Cheers.

Official T-Mobile USA HD2 ROM Upgrade! - [2.13.531.1]

Here are a few links with information (including the HTC website download mirror) regarding the official update from T-Mobile USA, courteously provided by: Pocket Now!
Upgrade Announcement!
ROM Information!
I will most likely be applying this update within the next few days. Although, I'm a little hesitant just because I figure that certain, "Manila modifications" won't operate properly on this upgraded T-Mobile USA version... NOT YET ANYWAY!
Thanks,
Downloading
Install new ROM and restore from Sprite
I plan to install the new official ROM and then do a full restore from a Sprite backup that I will have done while on the old ROM.
Will that work
Do I need to do anything different with Sprite or is it just a normal restore
Thanks for any advice.
I have downloaded this version and installed it...i think its slow and it lags. so i got rid of it and i flashed back old one.

I wouldn't advise that...
Just go ahead and perform the usual steps of "starting fresh."
It's not worth risking any system "tainting" that could occur in the process of another system recovery from a different ROM image.
Besides, if you don't think the update is worth performing in the first place, stick with your current setup.

Really?
Most everyone that has provided a testimony for "TmoNews" has suggested that only improvements are noticed... nothing negative to report.
I would suggest that you CLEAR/CLEAN the RAM after the installation. Use a program such as Memory Maid to run a few system maintenance diagnostics.
Otherwise, give this "new" ROM time to "settle" on your device. 24-hour tests are usually the best idea.
I have installed the new ROM. Things are very similar to way they were before. Didn't feel HD2 getting faster or slower. However, I have a strange problem now: Right now I don't have a data plan so I'm using my WiFi connection to get to the internet. One of the first apps I installed after flashing the new ROM is Omarket. Few hours ago, i.e. before flashing the ROM, Omarket was working fine but now it cannot connect to internet! Opera mobile works fine though (I downloaded Omarket with it!). There are other strange things going on as well: I have an MS exchange account. I can sync my emails over WiFi but contacts do not get synced! It seems that somehow some programs can use WiFi and some others cannot. Couldn't figure out what's going on yet...
Any changelog ?

UPDATE CHANGELOG! (Personal Analysis)
Here are a few changes that I've noticed since upgrading to this ROM yesterday evening:
The HTC Sense menus no longer have the "snap back" feature.
The overall screen sensitivity has been increased.
HTC Peep, the standard Twitter client appears to be completely removed.
The lock screen no longer "stutters" (on occasion) during the "slide to unlock."
Upgraded radio, including the version number.
Upgraded ROM, including the build number.
"T-Mobile Help," the micro-forums application has been included.
"My Account" has been included, with a more "feature-rich" experience.
"Swype" now has HAPTIC FEEDBACK, whereas my version of Swype did NOT prior to this update.

I saw on the Freeware Pocket PC twitter that they where having problems with the OMarket, Maybe this is what you where experiencing. Did the regular market work?
Haptic feedback on Swype.... interesting.
How well does Swype work for holding down a key to get the alternate symbol (like numbers & punctuation). On mine you can hold if down for days and never get the popup - I had to install version 2 to make it work.
BTW - I think I like the layout for version 2's symbols better, especially the numbers, but might be interesting to try out this Rom after enough people give feedback on it.
Missing Twitter tab would be... odd.
Why is this release coming from a HTC web site rather than T-Mo? I'm thinking of upgrading but dread going back through all the settings.

This problem appears to have been fixed in the new ROM.
One thing I noticed is that the new T-Mobile Help app hooks into the dialer and hijacks attempts to dial 611. Dialing 611 brings up the help app and then eventually the phone may dial 611 itself later.
The whole effect is... bizarre and unwelcome.
I cant get the My account or Help application to work. When I click the icon it shows me the initial screen and says "the my account application will be downloaded shortly" and just sits there. Did I somehow mis-flash the rom? I can't imagine this is the case.

Because the phone was created and manufactured by HTC. Just like Apple releases the updates for its iPhone; not AT&T.

Is it possilbe to access Google apps with wifi but no data?

I've done a lot of searching and left messages on various forums with no results--hoping someone can help. I have a G1 running CM5.08. I gave the phone to my grandson after I got a Nexus One. I did a reset and activated the phone with my sim card, and then finished the setup using his Google account. Then he put in his sim card. Now he can access the net over Wifi with no problem, but he can get to any of the Google apps including Gmail (to keep his contacts updated) or the app market. Is there something else I have to do to get it to work, or is my grandson SOL without a data plan. Thanks!
First make sure ur wifi is connected
go into settings then accounts and sync, make sure everything is checked on...
including the Google account itself is green (on) and not gray (off)
press on the google account and check all the boxes (in case they weren't checked off) --- if there not there
Restart the phone,
and try these steps again
remember with wifi on
hope this helps

I just did this with my wifes phone. She got a G1 from her brother but we dont need or want to pay for 2 data plans especially that she is always home so as long as your G1 is rooted here are the steps, oh and by the way this has worked on 1.5, 1.6, 2.1 and now 2.2 she wanted to try each flavor of android before she made up her mind on which one to actually use, and you can do this with his sim card in the G1, so the steps right:
1. Reboot into recovery
2. Wipe All
3. Repart SDCard or Repair EXT
4. Flash Rom and Gapps if needed
5. Reboot....Wait
6. Wait...Wait
7. Ok once the Android shows up click the android
8. Skip Tutorial
9. Skip Sign in
10. Accept the settings it offers you
11. Once at Home Screen, Click menu and settings
12. Click Wireless & Networks
13. Turn on Wifi
14. Connect to Wifi network
15. Click Home and open settings again
16. Now go to accounts and sync
17. Add Account and sign in with his information
18. Now you should be golden and he should be set up with a G1 using Wifi.
Also I would recommend that you download the app APNDroid from the marketplace. open it up un-check all the boxes and then click the 3G/Edge/GPRS button at the top. That will shutdown any and all data coming in from Tmobile so there wont be a chance at all that he could possible receive a data signal and get charged. Thats what I did with my wifes and it works beautifully. She loves her G1 and She gets all the benefits of a G1 without having to pay data. If you run into any other issues with this and you need help let me know. just send me a Private message and maybe we can chat through Gtalk while you are doing it.
Hope it works. Also in the above post, which Rom are you using cause it could be an issue with the rom with the market?
Thanks for the reply. To answer your question, the phone is running Cyanogenmod 5.08.
I'll see if I can get my grandson over here thid weekend and we'll give it a try!

pretty funny pic you have there -- also i hope the grandkid doesnt see this! unless he's passed the NC-17 test. Ha.
grandma(pa) - i just tried Royalknight's move on my other 3 G1's (each running a different flavor of Android) and it worked beautifully, but I had to repartition my cards differently per each flavor. So yeah, that works like a charm but leads to OCD when I am trying to decide which phone to take to work each day.

Issues with XXJPH firmware

Hello all,
I'm aware that this might be better placed in the thread announcing the FW release itself, but there seems to be turning into wailing wall where ppl who raise issues but they're left unanswered (I asked the same questions there but in vain).
The issues / questions I have with wrt that realease
1) Serious issue: 3G data connection.
No matter what settings the phone does initiate a data connection -- I enabled "Use packet data", enabled "Data Roaming" (even if I'm in my home netw) and even set the network mode to "WCDMA only", but all to no avail: There is no 3G icon close to the signal strength bars in notification area and the the "Mobile Network State" in the Status is reported as "Disconnected" and the phone cannot connect to the data network
Everything worked perfectly fine in JM release.
2) The one click lag fix does not work on XXJPH
The one click lag fix linked from the first post in the release thread (namely this lag fix: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=8223512) is, as per version 1.6.7 (which seems to be the last one) not relevant for XXJPH, but there are references to a "release 2" of the said fix. However, I cannot locate that .... Am I missing smth here ?
3) Input language selection.
There is a very limited set of input languages that can be selected. In particular, there is no choice for scandinavian languages (swedish / norwegian / danish). Can that be added ?
TIA for the feedback.
Florian
1) Have you set a valid APN in mobile connections?
2) I don't use a lagfix in JPH, its running very smooth and fast for me
3) no idea
I'm currently using 3G data and OCLF on my JPH.
Did you wipe your data/cache?
First and foremost, thanks for the quick input.
1) Yes, I did a data wipe / factory reset after flashing -- since that was what the FW instruction said (and it felt better that way)
2) Maybe this info is buried somewhere deep in the FW thread and I've missed it, but I haven't seen any instructions that I need to define an APN "manually" -- it all "just worked" in JM / JM1 without that.
Anyway, after you pointed that out I defined a new APN (took me a while to find how and what to set in there...) but now I got a 3G connection.
So many thanks for that.
The question on how to add additional input languages still stands.
Thanks again for the help.
What CSC file did you use?
Because I think the APN Settings are coming from the CSC, not the Firmware itself (PDA File).

Why do people always forget that Finland (and also Iceland) are a part of Scandinavia? Anyway good to know this.
What about bluetooth? I read in the other thread it doesn't work properly.
Bluetooth works fine
1) You don't have any APNs set up (well none the phone can use anyway) - that's why you have no 3G (or 2G) data. Search for how to configure APNs manually
2) OCLF (one click lag fix) works perfectly with XXJPH. Make sure you have correctly rooted your phone.
3) This is a development release, not one which has gone through all the localisation that a full release goes through.
Seen a lot of people having problems with one click lagfix. From my experience the only thing that stops it working is having apps moved to sd card, use app manager and make sure all apps are on phone then re run and it should work.
On the other issuse i haven't suffered from any of them

As I wrote in my previous post, as soon as someone pointed out that I need to configure the APNs I did that and now both Internet and MMS are working fine. Sorry for being so thick (well, I'm new to Android...) but it seems that in order to (re)mount the "/system" partition in read-write mode (where these files must go) I must root my device anyway...
Or is there any easier/simpler alternative ?
2) The one click lag fix does not work on XXJPH
- Your phone has to be rooted.
- If you use One Click Lag Fix v1.6.7 by RyanZA UNINSTALL all apps on SD card: Settings-> Applications->Manage Applications->On SD card->remove all apps (e.g. Google Earth, Angry Birds)
You can re-install the apps after you have applied the 'OneClickLagFix V1+"
I've done some more reading and fixing it does look like "Major PITA": One needs to root the phone and there are some instructions on how to root JPH at this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8157213&postcount=289.
Still, that doesn't look for the faint of heart (or for those who lack the time and/or will to go through the process, for that matter).
Moreover, since the official 2.2 release is due in 3 days, I guess I'l live with the JPH as it is on my phone wait for that instead.
Thanks to all that tried to help.
ONLY problem I have is wireless errors sometimes, but can be solved by turning WiFi on in actual settings menu.

Well, I have "issues" with that as well -- if the WiFi is turned on, then data network traffic goes through the WiFi instead of 3G (normal behavior). However, when the WiFi is turned off I need to toggle the phone on and off a few times before the 3G connection is re-established.
Anyway, hope that all that will be fixed in the official version...
Sometimes after cancelling calls my JPH just stays black screen ... need to pull the battery.
I found GPS really best through all builds ... but not satisfying. It gets a fix kind of quick but isnt very accurate :/
OCF, Bluetooth and swype are just working fine :> no issues there. Especially market is just cool ... no fix needed. Found flash and looks like all apps are there.

Google account FRP bypass does not use (USB-OTG)or ADB or Fastboot or a PC!

This trick I came across while trying other developers bypass techniques, and I cought it once but really didn't really accomplish the task till the secound or third time,1st you need to be by a sign in hotspot like xfinity or att, then what you want to do is go in to the sign in page and type anything in the user name text box,now heres where it might take 1 or 2 trys, press and hold on the text you just entered, and when you normally you get a notification br that says copy cut paste, close the keyboard panel and right after tap somewhere at the top screen;if nothing happens tap and hold the text again till around the time the copy, cut, paste bar would appear and try tapping the top screen again, when done successfully the google search box will appear and type in settings;now heres the thing,it will not let you factory reset, but go back one step back to the Google search bar and type setup and theres your bypass it does a whole different setup with skip at every sign in;but you might have to be connected to the internet for the setup, thank you I'm The Phizzle 100% Certified Google Android Developer,Good health & Good luck to you!

It should work on all devices but I discovered it on a HTC Desire 626s
Please please if you can leave a reply or give me thanks or at least pick one of the answers on the pole to let me know if the procedure is and not just a one-time fluke I would really would appreciate the assistance, thank you.
Didn't want to post this but since everyone is getting past it I might as well.
First download your HTC ruu.
Then connect, the programme will turn the htcs adb on so have adb open before you connect your phone.
Next you check for your device on adb.
Now type in the command to open the settings app with adb (search it up!)
Now try to reset the device. When doing so the "erase everything" button will not work so right before to go into the Acton that lets you reset. click the button very fast before it greys out and confirm that you want to reset quickly and then you will have a working HTC.
Hope this helps!

No HTCs ruu program will turn adb on once it finds it. Just have the phone on the start screen.

Gotcha!
I recently found a phone in a field I was mowing and I tried like hell for a week to return this phone to its rightful owner to no avail. I reset the phone and am trying to use it as I made an effort to return the phone to the owner. I am to the point of the FRP. However, nothing I have tried seems to work. The phone is on 6.0.1 Marshmallow and when I do have the phone connected to the computer it only shows up as 0PM92 not My HTC or anything else. Am I doing something wrong in both of these steps?
Well try factory resetting it again and when it turned back on and you see the welcome screen try holding two fingers down on the screen and it will tell you shortly after that the accessibility settings will turn on after the tone when it does draw an L shape on the screen pull up accessibility quick settings then after that go to TalkBack settings go to the Google voice setting choose the little gear when it pulls up a list go to the little menu in the corner on that menu Tuesday open source license hold down on any of the text + 2 is she another menu pick share if a list pops up choose messages or gmail from there you can gain access to the internet or settings that is where you know what to do, good luck and good health to you and your device.
Thanks for the help with my research, since then ive frp bypassed near 200 devices
Ranging from all different models types and services and with this knowledge I will use it so I can help those who have been Misjust and it's all thanks to The Cooperative people who aided me in my research thank you.
One of My methods came up with alone is just go through every choice til you find a link when it opens go to Google and search for any apk to download once it gets you to the menu to turn on unknown sources in through other settings and find apps now disable anything related to Google services that verifies the previous email after a few tries it'll time out not being able to verify and put you through with a skip option then freely to desktop no account attached add your own using a account you already have that uses tap to verify on your other devices with the amounts already synced and then reset it you may have to restore all disabled apps soon as you get in I did this at 4am few days ago then factory reset it once it was synced up with my account also download device manager for Google lock and erase remotely that's how I reset it not from menu ensuring my email was truly connected to the phone. I give no credits I did this alone on my LG x power and my Alcatel idol4 please give me credits for anyone this works for as well because I will be making a video soon .

[FRP] LG Stylo 3 FRP Bypass - Tracfone LGL83BL

[FRP] LG Stylo 3 FRP Bypass - Tracfone LGL83BL
This phone was hard at first to figure out due to certain areas being framed in for me for whatever reason. However after Hard Resetting a few times I was able to get where i wanted to start. This tutorial is based off a handful of methods from research I did. It works perfect for this model. There is no hardware methods so this must be done manually.
I'm hoping you have some experience manually removing FRP already before reading this. I'm trying to keep it short and simple. I suck at videos but maybe I will get around to making some eventually one day.
Steps
1. HARD RESET your phone. Make sure you do this before starting the next step.
2. Connect to wifi and go back to the start and get into accessibility mode. Enable Global Context Menu by making an L shape on the screen. Goto TalkBack Settings. Once you are in press both volume keys to suspend Talkback. Scroll down to the bottom and select Help and Feedback. Click on where it says About Switch Access for Android (if this is framed in a window then hard reset and restart again). This should take you to the Help section with About Switch Access for Android at the top with a youtube video at the bottom.
3. Click the youtube video and click the share button (arrow at the top right). This should show you a box with the link highlighted. Double tap this to open up YouTube. Once youtube is opened click the share button at the top right once again and this time you will be presented with where to share to. Click on Gmail. At this point pause and create a hotmail account on another device or use one of your own if you have it handy. Yahoo did not work for me so I stuck with hotmail. Forward on into gmail and select hotmail, fill out the information, and forward on until it says Take Me To Gmail at the bottom. Click this and then click the top right 3 dots and goto settings. Click the top 3 dots again then click manage accounts. You should be in settings now.
4. Scroll down to Fingerprints and Security and click this. Goto Phone Administration and disable Android Device Manager. Next goto Apps section of Settings. Click top right 3 dots and select show all apps. Scroll down to Setup Wizard, you should see 2. Disable/Force stop and clear cache/data on both. Now scroll up to Google Account Manager and repeat previous process then onto Google Play Service doing the same. Restart your phone.
5. Suspend TalkBack by pressing both up/down volume buttons and go forward in settings until you get to wifi. Disable wifi. Follow through until you get to the EULA. Scroll down in this box until you see the Heading OptOut. This next part can be a little tricky. Tap on where it says [email protected]. A box should pop up at the bottom if it doesn't double click or click and hold. I had to double tap the area and hold before it would appear. In this box click Gmail and when prompted enable Google Play Services. After this you should arrive back where you were at OptOut section of the EULA. Tap the email again and it will take you into Gmail. Click the top right 3 dots as you did before, repeat earlier process again, and get into Settings. Go back to Fingerprints and Security and enable Unknown Sources. Next turn on wifi.
6. Go back on settings then goto Apps. Scroll down to YouTube and click it. Click Notifications then click the top right icon ( i ). Next click About then click on Google Privacy Policy and forward into the browser. Now you are going to download some apps and install them. Download these 3 apps and install/open each during the process. The apps are Sidebar / Quick Shortcut Maker / Shortcut Master Lite. Open up Sidebar by using two fingers and swiping over from the left side of the screen. Once it slides into view add all 3 apps except for sidebar to it and also add Settings. If you want to pause here and pick up later thats fine as sidebar will be able to be used even if the phone is rebooted.
7. Now click on settings and goto Apps, tap 3 dots, select show system apps and now you are going to Disable/Force Stop and clear cache/data of all these apps. Google App / Google Backup Transport / Google Calender Sync / Google Contacts Sync / Google Drive Promotion / Google One Time Init / Google Partner Setup / Google Play Services / Google Play Store / Google Services Framework / Google Text-To-Speech Engine / Setup Wizard (both).
8. Now pull into view the Sidebar and click on Shortcut Master Lite. Click on the top right 3 dots and click search. Type Setup Wizard into the bottom search field and click search. Now click on the first Setup Wizard link that shows. com.android.LGSetupWizard.SetupHomeInit and click launch.
9. You should be back at the setup screen. Forward through until you get to wifi and shut it off.
10. Now comes the last but fun part. We are going to crash the Setup Wizard. Go back to the start screen of the setup wizard and repeadtly go forward and back until the app crashes and do this until you see the home screen (remind you of iphone glitches? ha) it WILL work just have to do it many times. Once you get to the home screen, go into settings and enable developer mode then get into developer mode and enable OEM Unlock next goto Backup and Reset and reset your phone. DONE. Enjoy your phone now.
EDIT:
Here are easier more precise instructions for this last step:
Press [ARROW ICON]
Next [SKIP]
Then [NEXT]
Press [SKIP ANYWAY]
Then tap 3-4 times quickly on [BACK KEY] where you should end up on "Welcome Screen"
Repeat the above steps another time or 2 if it has not worked yet. It will! Sometimes it takes a try or two!
Alternative to Step 10. Click on quickshortcut maker from your sidebar and scroll down until you see Home and click it. You should now be past the setup wizard and onto your Home Screen. Not done just yet. Click on Shortcutmaster Lite and it will bring you to your Home Screen. Now you are officially past everything. (Pretty sure this method doesn't work for the LGL83BL but I figured I would mention it incase it just didn't work for me for w/e reason). Go into settings and enable developer mode then get into developer mode and enable OEM Unlock next goto Backup and Reset and reset your phone. DONE. Enjoy your phone now.

Also works on: LG Aristo MS210, (more to add soon)
how many times?
I have tried several times and nothing happens and my phone is exactly Tracfone LGL83BL I hope you make a video soon
It's trial and error. Just keep going back and fourth quickly and eventually it will work. You've got to be quick about it in order for it to work.

hey man, I made an account just to get help from you. I have the same problem as the guy before. Ive done all the steps correctly and got to the very last part about crashing the setup wizard. I have done it very quickly many many times and nothing seems to work. And even when it does "crash" it just opens right back up ;/
I will try to get a video up showing you what I am doing. There is pretty much nothing to it. You push forward till it errors hit ok. Go back then forward, hit ok, go back and forward. Even try going back to the beginning then all the way forward. Go back and forward through different pages of the setup wizard. Trial and error. This DOES work. Trust me. I have used it to bypass multiple LG devices so far.
Still have been too busy to edit the video and get it online. Here is another approach that *should* work. Just try pushing forward as fast as you can until you hit the error then hit ok and keep going forward. Do it quickly.

I don't have it online. I have been far to busy so I've not had the time to get around to editing it. The method is pretty simple. You shouldn't really need the video but again I understand everyone learns differently. I have noticed there are some similar ways as mine on youtube so you might find something there. In order for mine to go up I have to 1) edit 2) add sound 3) add watermark and ad's and then get it up on a youtube channel of mine I haven't entirely finished. I would just post it but I want to get the most out of my videos when i can.
Which part are you stuck on? Maybe I can help you some.
I understand completely and thanks for you're reply.
I have downloaded the LG bypass tool.exe and when I put the phone into download mode and select phone that I have nothing starts. Then I have tried the other method which is getting to a browser on the phone through the privacy statement then searching for and downloading the bypass tool straight to the phone and then I cannot find the downloaded file on the phone to extract & run it.
I'm no expert at this sort of thing but I know a little bit. Do you think rooting the device would bypass it or a new SIM card. What should I try next bc in really kinda stuck now that all info I've tried had failed or doesn't work for the LG stylo LS-777.
Thanks

You will end up doing more than just running a file to bypass it. You will have to kill running processes etc then crash the Setup Wizard. You won't be able to root it because you can't get USB Debugging enabled. New sim card won't do anything either. If you follow my method i'm sure you will bypass it. =]
Thanks will try it. Do you have an idea when your video will be ready?
Not too sure. I haven't had a while free from work yet.
So before.... long before I do this, I would like to verify that you bypassed the FRP and were able to get /su? if so we could really use some photos from your (yet to be released video) as verification... if so this is amazing but man that's a lot of steps for something to go wrong. I'm really wanting to try it. 75% of my rooting has been done on Samsung which thanks to chainfire was literally "1 click" that came sometime after the whole adb shell push /su and that good good stuff. I'll wait for your reply before I take the plunge.. its my only device as of right now so I really don't want to screw this one up rofl. Anyways thanks so much!
Stuck
I have the metro pcs version of the stylo3 (lgms450) and I'm having a very difficult time bypassing the frp. So far, your method had gotten me further than any other but I'm stuck at the eula page. The email address is not, does not and will not highlight nor will any box appear at the bottom no matter how many times or the configuration of me pressing on that email address. I get a little haptic feedback but nothing else. Any ideas?

Well FRP and Superuser, rooting and what not are all different things. What we are trying to accomplish here is FRP Removal via manual method not needing root on the device. I will release the video within a few days. Don't laugh at the quality as it was done with another phone and didn't really think it would take on enough for me to put online so I didn't go for professionalism. Hey it works though and you might have to pause time to time as i go through quickly at times but you will see.
This method hasn't screwed anything up for me so far and the way it is done really in theory shouldn't. Any mess simply factory reset and it is ready again. If that fails you can flash the firmware and all will be well.

Hmm. I need to try to get ahold of that model and try a few things. All my stylos went out to customers. I might have some ideas on how to get you around all of that. Just need to test them on something similar. Have one in mind, if a friend still has it i will take a look.

@kryste1 Thank you! I figured a straight through text tutorial might help better as some of these videos are hard to understand for a lot of reasons.
