SiriusXM - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Any of you N4 guys have the SiriusXM app? Can you please tell me if channel 88 (NFL Radio) works? Thanks! :good:

Works for me.

Thanks for that!

Do you need to have the service running like you do for your car to use that app or is there a free service that comes with the app?

The 'PDANET' app in the market will allow you to do so.

[Q] Options? What to do with my non active phone.

Well, I have a nice new epic 4g. Unfortunately the Sprint service has been turned off.
Anyone have any ideas of what one can do with this device? Am I stuck with a Camera? Is it possible to use it as just a wifi phone using google voice? I know that I need to be near a hotspot, that is fine. I am just wondering what options I have without reactivateing it with sprint.
Is it possible to program a GSM chip so it works with a different carrier?
Just asking...
The epic doesn't have gsm.
no i know. just trying to figure out what to do with it, besides a camera. yah know?
camera/music player ?
You can flash it to cricket or metro pcs or if the esn on it is clean you can sell it on craigslist/ebay for a nice chunk of change

I use my epic in my car all the time to play music
Thanks for all the ideas. HTPC I assume is a Home Theater PC and use it as a remote?
Chunk of change? Like what?
Thanks again all!

wifi trick

Hi guys
I've a few applications that really want Wi-Fi to function. I want to trick them while on 3G.
Can this be done?
On iPhone you've a great app on cydia which is fixed in 1 minute.
Android should be easier right?

it s first time to read this problem!
in all apps that need internet i didn't see any request to connect just wifi and not working on data!!!
IF an app ask for just wifi and thr s no setting inside it to change... SO uninstall that **** and use another app
all apps in android have setting to choose internet over wifi or 3g or both

as far as I know, you can't and should not be able to without it being exposed in some way by the developer of said app.
Maybe broadcasts if there are receivers for that in the app
