My girlfried got the x10 mini pro, and she get all the notifications
I have tried too delete my account on the phone, the one inside settings, and the one that you sign in with the app. The one inside settings --> internett app or something, why sign in here? CAn use the app anyway.
Anyone else got the same problem? Can someone plz help

There is a new update in the market Facebook for android 1.3.0. Try it.
I have tired it, and its the same But should I turn on all the auto update, timescape, the one in side settings and the facebook app? or is this just too much

I don't know, do not use Timescape... I only autoupdate from the facebook app. Maybe you have to set the one inside settings to auto update.
Hm, well still not working. Search around and alot of ppl got the same problem :-(

I give up with the FB app notifications it still isn't fixed on the new version that has just come out.
I just set it to e-mail my phone with the notification. Get it pretty quickly from there.
Also on a side not - if anyone has updated to version 1.3.0 can you get your phone to go to sleep properly???
Also can a mod please move this to the apps section.

Why are you asking that? It seems to me battery drains since I updated facebook, but I do not know how see if my phone is sleeping properly. I installed more apps when i get the update and i cannot be sure it is because or facebook or another one.
Did you noticed that as well?
For me it is definately the FB app that is doing it. I can see it in the app "spare parts".
It was fine before I upddated it to this version now my phone won't sleep.

I have this problem as well after updating. The battery drains too fast. I just uninstalled the update and then it's back to the previous version that's preinstalled on the phone.
Done the same here :-( hope they fix the problems asap!
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
The same. Just revert to the preinstalled and everything is ok.
Was wondering why my battery was draining fast today. Thanks for the info. I'll remove this terrible update now.

It's probably not so much an X10 problem as it is an application problem.
As for me, there's no preinstalled FB app, so, I'll just work with this one.

Ooh, really? Sweet, thanks!
Gotta say, I like the new version, but the battery thing kinda sucks. Old one, here I come!
I have no issues with the phone not sleeping, I only check the app a couple of times each day, no auto update just manual, and I kill it after use.
I like my phone to run lean lol
Well at my x10 it kill my battery, but my girlfriend got x10 mini pro, and that work ok. Use a bit more then 1.2 but not so much.
But on my x10 its a batterykiller :-(

I do not use task killer/manager so i cannot do that. My phone works better since i don't use them. And I check facebook many many times a day, so manually kill the app is not a solution for me.
Anyway it does't work in landscape mode, at least initially... so
This update is a crap for me.
I know there are threads on tasker, but i have to say, this is one sick app.
all you have to do is send sms with secret word from any phone and Tasker will enable wifi, gps, and send back a link to google maps with phone location.
That is amazing, but...
Pity the GPS, Compass and Google Maps implementation is completely ****ing broken!
I would definitely love to use this when (or if) the locational services ever do function. Thanks for the heads up -- I had no idea this existed.
There are multiple apps like "Where's my droid" that do this as well.

If its not too long, would you mind posting your contexts and tasks to achieve just that exact same you just described? I'm trying to get better with the program although at a very slow pace

Yeah i was interested in how you did it as well. I am just learning this tasker app and it doesnt seem that you can import and export tasks easily.

you can find it here: http://tasker.wikidot.com/profile-index
the guy is using GPS only, but its pretty straight forward to include WIFI in this as well (WIFI is for better location without GPS). The time to wait for GPS to get a lock is up to you, I have 1 min.
and as you can see there is a profile there if you wish to lock you phone with SMS and/or play sound. (havent tried that)
For now I have these tasks: 1. If power ON, screen timeout is set to 45 sec (from 15), and lockguard is disabled 2. from 7:30pm to 8am screen brightness set to min and to AUTO other times. 3 Created a widget for "Vibrate" and "Bluetooth" since Vibrant is missing easy access to those functions (in a nice menu widget to save space). 4. I have several tasks killed at boot since they are useless anyway. (for this need to insert WAIT command with whatever time needed since some tasks start after the phone boots)
Thanks a lot for that link! Was able to create my own widget too now!

Hi I've had my Nexus S for a week now and by and large am very happy with it.
Recently I noticed that some apps from the market will not install after downloading, for example, the Pubtran London app.
the app always shows it's being currently downloaded, and when I check the About tab, it says that 100% has been downloaded, but it will not launch into install.
There are quite few apps which I tried to install but also had this problem. I would be grateful if anyone has experience the same issue and has advice to resolve this problem. thanks!
Not all apps are compatible with Gingerbread.
PS Ignore the fact that I thanked you. I clicked the wrong button
hi thank you.
seems then have to wait to the apps to be updated.
even the xda app does not work on nexus S!
I have just found a work-around for this problem.
everytime an app would not install, I just go into manage apps and clear the Market cache. Once the cache is cleared, app can be installed with no problem.

I'm having this problem too.
I don't think it's compatibility issues, clearing cache and force stopping the Market sometimes works, but it seems the next time I use the Market, one of my apps wont update until I do this again.
Any ideas?

The problem isn't unique to the Nexus S for me. My SGS i9000 (DocRamboned) has similar issue, especially with updates...lots fo them stall on the download, or download and fail on the install.
Perhaps there's some issue on the mothership's side of the market.

Hey everybody,
Just wanted to let you guys know that I was messing around with the GPS setting trying to get my location to be correct on the first try with Google Maps. After tinkering, I found that if I unchecked the Google location Services box in menu>settings>location my location was read almost instantly and accurately! Bidding me farewell to Google Maps saying I was 50 miles away from where I really was.
Hope this helps for everyone, I know it did for some friends.
Let me know if it works, and good luck!
Cool. My Google maps tracked exactly where I was. Even the corner of the intersection(where is my house is located on the street)

I installed the zip file, after it took about a minute to lock on, and after it locks almost instantly. Is this normal to take so long first time locking on?
If you are using a custom ROM then yes it is. I know that from my experience, even after installing the zip I was getting a little lag and even getting the wrong location for about 3 second then it would lock on correctly. Doing what is mentioned in the original post fixed that problem for me entirely. Hope this answers your question!

This is the greatest info I have read regarding the GPS issues with the Thunderbolt! Such a simple fix but one that doesn't make sense at all. Regardless thanks a heap OP! A mod should sticky this information for all to see!
Seems to break location altogether for me when I disable Google location services. Can't get a fix in maps or the sense flip clock weather.

Great bud! Glad I could help!! I would love for a mod to sticky this, it is such an easy (odd but easy, lol) fix yet so many people absolutely hate that the gps won't work right. Sorry about that, i figured it would be safe to call it that since there is clearly no true fix to this issue anywhere as far as i know at least. Please do correct me if I'm wrong. It worked for quite a few people I know so I thought i would try to help some people out.
Thanks. At least its more accurate now.

I think what we are seeing here is that the gps is not using agps at all. Proper operation would be the agps actually assisting the quicker lock. Instead the agps and gps are working separately and by disabling agps....the locks should still be slow no matter what.
It is for me anyway.
That said, standalone gps will always be more accurate.

Funny thing is, standalone how isn't even working, since when you turn off Google location services it shuts off completely. Also for me it seems to be attached to WiFi so if its off it says I'm within a 2 mile wide area...

4. back to menu/tools Manage A-GPS state
5. Press download
I now get instant fix.
