VZW Motorola Droid Razr M
4.0.4 ICS Updating to JB
Signature verification failed.
Never rooted, No custom recovery, and I personally have not modified system files at all.
Is it possible for me to use RSDlite to apply the update or should I get CWM?
Download the manual OTA Update and flash It through Stock Recovery

Is this doable even with safestrap installed? I'm currently running a backup of ICS via safestrap in my ROM Slot 1 and was wondering if it would work to flash JB over it.

Yes i have a rooted Razr M with the leaked JB software. I was wondering how i could update this to the official update and i also was wondering how to update safestrap 3.5 to 3.12. Any help will be great im wanting to try some of thses roms out.
I think you have to boot stock, then uninstall recovery. I usually just RSD to stock and start over to be safe. If you somehow have two recoveries, it can get messy later

How am I supposed to flash a zip when I have no custom recovery?...motochopper says failure all the time tried it twice.. is the mdn method for sprint s4? It says gt-19505

You don't have to be rooted to install a recovery. Just use Odin to install a recovery, then use that to flash the zip.

You can use this & restore your data back when done-the steps are in the op.
If all you need is custom recovery. Rom manager works and will allow you to flash cwmr right from your rooted phone- no pc needed.

Hi all. Can i flash thru RSD-Lite latest sbf for XT907 to get the KitKat bootloader and kernel? Would my phone work same as now? Is it possible to flash this upgrade?
Due to XT905 don't have any OTA updates, and CM is going to support only KitKat kernel/bootloader - i want to try.

You should be able to. But, right now, its better to stay with jellybean because of the ROM availability and all of that stuff. That's why I downgraded from kk to jb

Yes, you could. But I believe the Modem included in this update won't work on the XT905 and the JB Modem you have installed won't work with KikKat.
Ok so I have all but the most recent update on my phone and its rooted and I have twrp installed as a custom recovery. From what I understand I can not flash the most recent update because its not a full update it just tweeks some things. So to my question is there anyway to flash the stock recovery so I can get the update.

Just flash the Unofficial 183.46.15 with RSD Lite.
Thanks

I just updated but didn't lose root. :good:
A coworker with a RAZR HD said he updated I checked his root and it remained as well. Apparently update does not break existing root.
