Has anyone found a screen capture method for the Nexus 10?
Thanks
I believe it's a button combo that should work with all Jellybean ROM's. Something like holding the power button + volume up for a second I think.
It's power button + volume down button.
Volume down would be the volume button closest to the power button.
Thanks for yor reply. I've tried the power + volume buttons but it doesn't seem to work on my Nexus 10. Have you tried it on your Nexus 10 and got it to work?

I just tested to make sure. Yes it works.
Press Power + Volume Down simultaneously for 3 seconds and it'll snap a photo. It should definitely work.
*edit
Here made a video to give you a tutorial:

Works here ... A bit of timing is involved.
Thanks, I've just tried it again and it does work. I think I missed the confirmation signal.

Hi everyone
Whats the button combination to enter the bootloader while the phone is off? I tried volume down and power several times but it just boots up normally. Currently I have to use ADB to enter the bootloader every time.
Same as Galaxy Nexus was. Volume Up + Volume Down + Power. All three at the same time.

Just tried it. Doesnt seem to be working for me.
I hold all three until it vibrates, but it just boots normally.
do it this way. press volume up and down first and while they are still pressed, hit the power button
Nope for some reason it isnt working for me.
Just received my N10 - 16GB and was trying to figure out how to take a screenshot. From everything I read it's, Hold Power Button + Vol Down. That didn't work. It was just as if I held down the Power Button by itself and it gave me the popup window for Power Off / Airplane Mode.
I then realized that the Vol Down is actually in the top position, closest to the Sleep/Power and Vol up is in the bottom. Is this normal? I don't recall the Nexus 7 having the volume buttons reversed.
Also, trying to take a screen shot still doesn't work for me. Anyone having these issues?
Thanks,
The tablet is designed for landscape use.....so at the top left of the tablet is Power, Volume - and then Volume +
Press and HOLD both Power and Volume - at the same time, it takes a few seconds (about 2.5 seconds based on doing it right now and counting LOL).
Do not press one then the other. Put your fingers over both then press at the same time.

Much appreciated the quick answer. From my other Android devices, it was either hold power/sleep first then either Vol down or Home button. I tried your suggestion and it works now. Even gives an audible tone.
Anybody else find this really awkward?
It'd be much better if I could do a screenshot by holding the power button down and tapping the home button. Much like the One X etc.
What does holding down the volume buttons, along with the power button at once do to the phone whilst the phone is on? Anything?
I tried to take a screenshot. Worked it out that I only needed to press the power button and down volume key though.

I flashed the 5.0 OTA update, and everything went smoothly. Lollipop is working well, but I was going to flash the incremental updates so I can have 5.0.1.
Everything works until I try the button combo to get recovery to start. I press VOL DOWN + Power, get into fastboot mode, boot into recovery and I can see the Android with red triangle. However, when I press VOL DOWN + VOL UP and then tap the Power button, nothing happens.
Any advice?
It takes a couple times of pressing power volume up

I've tried it multiple times, but the options still don't come up.
EDIT: Nevermind, I had to wait for a couple minutes and then I button mashed it and the options finally came up. Thanks!
I observed the same thing. Its a crapshoot... Looks like a bug in lollipop.
The button combination changed on Lollipop.
Hold the power button 4-5 secs and tap the volume up button.
Hit thanks

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Wow, lol. Thanks for this!
For KitKat recovery, the button sequence is: hold down UP and then press POWER
For Lollipop recovery, the button sequence is: hold down POWER and then press UP
Something just happened to my phone where the touchscreen actions went a little crazy for a second or two and then the Volume Down and Power button don't seem to work anymore.
The Volume Up button still works though...
Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a way to turn off or reboot the device without using the power button?
Volume down, power and home button. All 3.

Actually, I found in this case holding down Volume Down and Power caused the phone to reboot. I wonder if something got stuck...
It happened to me as well and I found some article which said to hold power +down button for some time and it will reboot
