Questions about B/O emails and CC Charges - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm sorry if these questions have been asked in other threads guys, I realize there are a lot of people
with the same frustrations but the shipping/orders threads are moving way too fast for me to find
detailed replies. Basically, I ordered a 16 GB Nexus 4, received a confirmation email, and a
backorder email.
Now, there is no charge related to Google Play on my credit card statement but I've
heard that some people had their credit card companies CANCEL their pending charges which has led to
basically having their order cease to exist. Does anyone know if the charge will appear later or am I just
screwed? Or is it pending and it just hasn't appeared on my statement yet?
I called Google Play support
and their reply was the equivalent of "If you got the B/O email, just wait for a shipping confirmation." The
CSR didn't really address my issue about the CC charge. I'd appreciate any replies, thanks in advance.

Honestly I don't know what to tell you because I'm in the same position as you are..

if you get a nexus 4 in the mail, you will be charged. the charge may have dropped from your cc for the time being but trust me it will reappear once the phone is in your hands

Your credit card won't be charged until the phone ships. At checkout, a pre-authorization transaction occurred. How long a pre-auth can last depends on your financial institution.
I was one of the unlucky ones to pre-order a Nexus 7 on June 27. The device didn't ship until July 19 and the pre-auth was gone by then. It didn't matter because my card was on file with Google wallet, just like yours is now. It should be fine... We just have to wait for them to sort their **** out.

Ah okay so basically those with "pending" charges are the ones whose phones have been shipped but are delayed? That clears a lot up and is very reassuring. Thanks everyone!

Im going to buy one as well. This is a good deal. Same card is on newegg.com for $20 shipped free. And if you look at it as a ratio, its an even better deal for 50 cents for a gig.
Also just be aware that they will only ship to your billing address. This is a little issue for me because my billing address is not where I live as im away at school. But maybe it wont be an issue for you guys.

Thanks for the heads up. It truly is an excellent deal. I purchased one just to use in my backup TP2. You can barley find a 8gb for this price!!!
I didn't need one but I couldn't pass up this deal. This will come in handy if my 8gb dies. Thanks magic!

How quickly do these folks ship? I ordered a 32GB MicroSD card they advertised back on the 24th of December for $19.99. I'm still waiting on the shipment info. But they long since charged my card, double because their site processed my order in error.
They emailed me saying they fixed my order and refunded the extra but I don't see this reflecting anywhere, on my order summary on their site, nor my bank account info.
Honestly if I could do it all over again, I would avoid DailySteals like the plague. They are the worst online shop I've ever dealt with.
Luckily I used my PayPal debit card as my credit transaction. If I don't get anything by the end of this week, I'm going to dispute their charge.

I hope everything gets straightened out...they really are a pain to deal with. It took 15 days to receive a past order i made with them. I couldnt get anyone on their customer service line.
I really think they act as a middle man for other businesses. When i ordered a palm pixi from them, it was at my door in 3 days.

I just got a email back from them today saying"
"Hello, Thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately the item was lost in transit, I have processed a refund for you. The refund will take up to 5 business days to be reflected on your bank account. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you."
All this time I've been in communicating with them trying to confirm if they corrected my order and asking about the status, it took them 3 weeks after they charged my credit card to tell me my item have been lost in the mail.
Let alone they've been giving me the 3 day business day wait answer on me receiving my refund for the double error order which never showed up credited to my account.
Now I'm suppose to hope they do a complete refund this time around waiting an additional 5 business days.
This is why DailySteals.com should never be recommended to anyone. They are a scam.
Thank God I used my PayPal debit card because I will be disputing their $49.96 charge to my account on the 24th of dec.

Just reporting that I received my 16gb card today. Tested it out and it IS true capacity. Came in a plain white envelope with no receipt or anything
I also received my 16GB Class 4 "Sandisk" MicroSDHC card today. Like the previous post, it was also in a regular white envelope with no receipt and not even in a bag or case. It is NOT a true Sandisk and only has a marking that says made in japan on it. The only reason i bought from this site was that I thought it was going to be a Sandisk. I will not buy no-name SD cards. I do not trust putting stuff that is important to me on a card that might go bad in a week or two. I don't want to feel the need to back everything up either. I just want it to WORK. All in all, I am very disappointed in my experience with this company and I hope they will be contacting me because I left them a nice E-mail. And by the way, they never replied back to my first email wondering where my order was because i never received shipping confirmation. WHAT A BUNCH OF PROFESSIONALS! Rant over. Thanks for caring.
EDIT: Tested it out and even the class4 thing is a sham. It was transferring files at 1.24KB on average. Yes, KB...My class 4 took 13 minutes to transfer and the dud was saying 1 hour or more. They better Email back.
I ordered the 16gb that day and I haven't received or heard anything yet. All I got was a purchase confirmation and that was it. Hoping to hear something soon!

Got mine today and its some worthless no brand 16gb card. If I had known I wouldnt have wasted my money. I dont trust this thing to keep my data. Its completely useless. Never again will I order from them.
Guys check your email I got one just now about a refund situation from daily steals about if you got a generic card. Seems they are doing something to try and make it right.

I got the same email as well...I chose the $8 credit just because I am using this card in my backup phone so it really isn't a huge problem for me.

[Q] Nexus 7 payment no longer pending

So, I'm not sure if this is a good thing, but, when I checked my bank account a minute ago, I had $277 more dollars than yesterday and there is no longer a pending charge from Google for that amount. I know I'm probably worrying too much, but did this happen to anyone else?
And if not, should I contact them?

There is only so long they are legally able to hold funds without shipping the product.
Since its a pre order it should be different right? They can hold till ship date

they put a 3 day hold on the money in ur account then they will take it out when it ships. thats why u have the money now because its not being held anymore
Mine is still gone. Used debit card.
The time period on a hold depends on your bank. My credit union will hold for 10 days but my old bank would only hold for three.

It varies based on your institution, you can call the number on the back of your debit card to confirm exactly what their practices are for holding funds but technically even though it showed up as you having X amount less in your account it was never actually withdrawn it was just put on hold so it was no longer reflected in your "Available Balance" but the number wouldnt actually be deducted from your "Actual Balance" until it is shipped and the charge goes through.
mine's still showing as a Pending charge in my credit card. Ordered on 1st July.

I can confirm that the charge is gone from my account as of today. I purchased the 16gb on July 2nd.

I ordered on the 5th. My hold just dropped today. I emailed google wallet support just to be sure.. lol

I ordered on 27 June and no funds have been moved in my account.
The temp charge was just to verify that funds are available during the pre order. The actual charge will take place once the tablet ships. If the funds are not available at the time of pre order, then pre oder would have been rejected.
I am not sure if you guys have preordered anything before, but the norm is the verify funds when you enter your pre-order and shows up as pending charge on your account. Since they don't actually charge you until they ship, that "hold" pending charge (authorization) falls off after a few days.
You will see the charge once they ship..

My "pending" charge is gone as well. I have my money returned, this is normal right? I read through the thread but by "gone" do you guys mean it changed to "paid" or is the transaction erased?
I spoke to google earlier today, the guy said none shipped yet, that they have been informed to say 'soon' instead of '1-2 weeks', I thought jesus ****ing christ, that's bad, cuz when you normally hear that kind of change, it means TBD, some indeterminate date, but he said no, it meant now less than 1 week, google and ASUS both have signed off on everything, whatever that might mean. As of 5:40am on 7-12, my bank shows nothing, bought 6-27 with debit.

I ordered mine yesterday morning and the status hasn't changed. I didn't see anything that said there would be a delay also. How long do they normally take to ship?

2 days processing, 2 days shipping. I didn't get my shipping notification until the day it was going to arrive so don't freak out if you don't get it the third day.
I ordered a 16GB on 23rd and still have not got any shipping mail. Today is the 3rd Business day and maybe I should get a shipping email in a day or two.

Ordered mine on the 24th, still not received my shipping notification
purchased a nexus 7 on the 21st, had a shipping notification on the 22nd, was in my hands on the 23rd...

It sounds like I got lucky. I ordered the 16gb version at 1 AM Friday the 23rd, got the tracking number later that morning, and it arrived on Monday.
I ordered mine on the 23rd and have not gotten my confirmation email. I called today to make sure everything was OK and they said my order was still processing.

I ordered on a Saturday, it shipped in the evening on the following Monday, and arrived Tuesday (the next day). I'd say this was quicker then average times though.

I ordered mine at 6:30pm on the 23rd and I still have yet to receive a tracking....I'm so jealous of you right now.
I just got off the phone with Google and they said that the problem is that the nexus 4 orders are backing up the he us 10 orders!! I was told my order has been approved and should ship within the next day or so. I originally ordered on the 23rd.

I ordered mine on 11/26 and the order posted to play as the 27th, I assume because it was 5:30pm on the 26th when it was "received" (according to the invoice) in CA and that's after business hours. I still haven't received a shipping notice.
I spoke to a Google Play Rep about it to make sure it processed correctly. I wanted to be sure there wasn't any trouble in the transaction since I recently had Identity theft issues.
He told me that it had charged my card successfully and was in processing and would most likely be Friday before it shipped and I would get it Monday at the earliest but probably later and that if I hadn't received it by Friday of next week to call them back.
So that "Delivered in 3-5 business days" Google play posts in the fine print is a not so reliable way of saying it'll be 3-5 before we mail it, Maybe.

Their customer service reps keep telling me it will send the shipping info email the same day I keep calling them. What a lie! I placed my order from New York on Monday Morning 11/26/12 everything went through i even called to make sure and i have not even gotten a process completion email with a tracking number yet if i dont get anything by friday im calling them and demanding them to send it overnight at no extra charge....its all about the customer my friends! even though I am upset they dont sell the Nexus 10 in stores and have to go trough this whole process...I can say I am really excited to receive my new toy!!

the wait is very agrivating Im waiting for mine as well, and can you beleive they dont let you cancel your order...i ordered 2 by accident ( the other order got declined since i didnt have enough funds for both) but they cant cancel....i think this will be the last time i buy an item off the Google play store

I received my Shipping notification at 1:05 pm today. When I got the email and checked the tracking number, It was already in the Nashville hub and will be out for delivery tomorrow.

Wow this is totally unfair if you ordered it on the 26th and I ordered on the 22nd. Completely upset with Google now. I still have no delivery confirmation email. Congratulations on getting your nexus 10 btw.

Time to "Re-ship" after payment decline

I ordered my 8gb nexus 4 back on Nov 27th. And I got an email saying the payment was declined for some reason and I need to update my payment info. So I did, after adding transferring the in the few dollars my account was short. Now I'm waiting to be billed again and for the device to be shipped out. I called google support but got no information as to when it would ship, that I had to "Sit and wait".
Has anyone had this happen?
Any idea how long I will be waiting?

Nexus 6p pre order question

If i pre order the nexus 6p will the funds be taken out of my bank account. Or will they charge me upon releasing the device ?
FWIW: I pre-ordered mine from the Google Store yesterday and I have a pending charge on my credit card for the full amount.

Same here, hopefully they'll release the charge and then put it through when it ships. The email confirmation says they don't charge until shipment.
From another thread I saw posters say that they charge you right away, but after 3-5 days the charge drops off until it gets ready to ship.

Are you trying to order it without having funds in your bank if so your card will decline as Google pre authorizes the entire amount of the purchase, they hold onto the funds for about a 3-5 days, release the pre authorization and then might run the pre authorization again two weeks later, this again stays on For 3-5 days, once the phone ships then the funds truly are taken out, but before then basically holds your money hostage till shipment.

Huawei is offering financing for up to 12 months. The finance charges are about $90 for the twelve months bit at least I didn't have to take a huge hit on my Amex card.

I ordered mine but, there is no charge pending on my card. I wish there was, then I would feel like they really intend on sending it. Hopefully they will bill me when they send it.
I called google and the representative told me that we hold the funds on your account and wont be fully charged until the device ships.
