Honeycomb clock font - Acer Iconia A500

Hey xda,
I'm on 4.1.2 at this point, but 3.0 was my favorite update as far as aesthetics goes. I really like the Honeycomb fonts, colors and icons. My question is this: How do I change just the status bar clock to the original HC font while still on JB?
I have tried changing: (found at this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=937802)
AndroidClock.ttf
AndroidClock_Highlight.ttf
AndroidClock_Solid.ttf
Clockopia.ttf
and they didn't work. AndroidClock and the related files represent the lock screen click, and when I changed Clockopia, nothing happened. Is the font for the status bar clock in framework or SystemUI?
Thanks guys, keep rockin!

Just so you know, the Honeycomb time font for the lock screen had a solid and highlight part, which needed two layers. You'll only be able to use "AndroidClock.ttf" I think, since it's the "full" version. Not quite exact but close enough.

yeah, the clockopia one is blended and complete. do you know which font represents the status bar clock so I'll be able to change it?
Thanks for the reply.

HTC Home Music Tab Font Color Change

I was looking for a solution to changing the font color on the HTC Home Music Tab to something other than the pastel blue.
I couldn't find a solution on this forum so I hacked it myself. I changed the font color from blue to white so it matches other themes better. It is only a hex change on six digits.
I am sharing this file in case anyone else want it as well. I also changed the progress bar color to green since the Diamond theme is all the rage nowadays. But the progress bar color is easy to change back.
The files came from HTC home version 2.1 build 1005722. I took it from one of PDAViet's newer WM6.1 rom for Hermes.
This is my very first hack and I only tested on my 8525. It is working fine. But please report back if anything is wrong.

The theme really is just Empex's diamond theme V2 together with tnyynt's HTC background. So the artwork credit belongs to them.
I added tweaks to it wrt MS application background color and command bar color.
There is a bug with my tweaks where if you boot up the device running my theme, the "start" text and the "time" on the top bar is missing. You can resolve this by switching to a standard theme and then switching back. I haven't really looked into what is causing this bug (hasn't bother me since I don't reboot that often) but if anyone knows why this is the case then please help me out here.

If it's only a six digits change, why would I have to install a 2,3 MB CAB file?

yes, it is only a six digit hex change on the main dll.
Problem is though there are so many versions of HTC home floating around, I don't want people to just download the dll and replace what they currently have. This may lead to compatibility issue.
Hi very good work but it may not help me because of the version. Could you write some tutorial about how to change? (I mean where inside the dll should I change) I would like to change the color of the weather tab and I could open the dll file by hex editor. Thx
@ Lolento can i ask what is the name of the dll file please as i would like to try other colours

[Q] Notification bar/page

I installed a ROM yesterday and now my notification bar, once it's expanded/pulled down, has a certain amount of transparency... a lot more transparent than I'd like.
Are there any simple mods I can do to change the alpha values to make it more opaque or have I just got to put up with it? Or is it possible to install a different notification (expanded) screen?
Thanks.
The notificatiin bar can be modified from theme, so you have to find a good one for your rom.
Sent from my GT-I5700 using XDA Premium App
I see, so I can't just modify that current screen? I have to overwrite the whole current theme? Was kind of hoping to keep it how it is and just get the background colour to solid black of the expanded notifications bar.
Thanks anyway, was beginning to think this could be a possible scenario.

Of course you can just change the background.
Thats how a theme is done, taking all the files and modifying them.
You would have to find the files responsible for the notification bar and change them to suit your needs.
How to do that i don't know, but i'm sure the forum search and google will help you out, when you search for something like "android theme tutorial" or something like that.

Themes?

Just wondering why theres not any themes for the acer tab?The asus has like 20 different themes that are made for the roms, just a question now,im looking into that new theme chooser and themes http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1167075 and theres another one on here that has one the VillainTheme System http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1206052 ,i'll pm these guys to see if theres a chance of them porting this to the acer.I noticed one is for CyanogenMod 7 and the other is made for mostly phones.

i want to know why there aren't themes to the notification bar, like different colors, icons, and styles. is the black notification bar on honeycomb pretty locked down unlike on android mobiles?
quite new
Honeycomb is quite new.there are way less numbers of devices out there.this means less development.then add the fragmentation of device spacific fragmentation.
BLAME GOOGLE.for not forcing compatibility across review as such.Ms Mac does forndevelopers.
Less is customizations from lens.and standardized software is much needed with android.
Or true complete open source and forces Unlocked devices
OK I stop ranting now

I've changed the icons for my Back/Home/Recent Apps buttons on my bar. The png files are in the systemUI.apk
With a file explorer and 7zip you can change the button graphics to pretty much anything you want.
I would love some new boot animation same old android logo very boring, tabooney has some great kitchens for boot animation any idea if it would work running 3.2 stock from with cwm

I haven't used the Black Infinitium theme in a long time, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't change the stock icon shape, it just changes the the color... well... to white.
Unless you're referring to the default battery icon it comes with, which is definitely un-stock-like (is that even a word? ). However, that can easily be fixed. Assuming you're using the ROM you have listed in your signature...

... You should have the ability to switch the battery style. I can't test this, as I don't own a Nexus 4 and have never used CrDroid, but according to the ROM's OP, it has the ability to switch the battery style to percentage text and battery icon... So I'll assume it does. Thus, if that's truly the case, all you got to do is apply the Black Infinitium theme, go into your settings, change your battery style to battery icon (or experiment with whatever other battery style options CrDroid offers) until you find the stock-like white battery icon. I know when I rocked AOKP and the Black Infitium theme, I could do just that. Hopefully your ROM can do the same. :good:
Anyways, let me know how it goes. Hopefully you get what you're looking for.

Thanks but it changes more than the status bar icons e.g. volume seeker and gives the phone a more darker look leaving it stock background colour
I got the white status bar icons needed but cant make a theme
Seriously, I have searched high and low for a LONG time, back to when I was running CM 9 and 10 on my Nexus S 4G for a theme that ONLY changes the status bar icons to white and have still came up with nothing. I feel like that'd be something in high demand and easy to find but I guess not. I mean, even changing the overscroll glow and highlighting would be nice. I've considered learning how to theme just do make one lol. If anyone could help us out, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, it's the media folder. The exact path is /system/media.
@fahadsul3man; Be sure the animation .zip is called bootanimation.zip and has the following permissions: rw-r--r--. Reboot your phone and you should be good to go. A suggestion, be sure to make a backup of your original bootanimation.zip in case you ever wish to revert back; this can be done by adding the extension .bak to the end of the bootanimation.zip.

Lockscreen icons

Is there any chance to change lockscreen icons look?
As I see icons are always default one from theme which is used. If I change app icon in drawer or on home screen, icon for that(same) app is still default on lockscreen.
Is it somehow possible to set your own icons? Maybe with root? But still don't know how ...
Root, Xposed (not sure about lg compatibility though?) or maybe via Substratum.
There are a few options available I guess
Thanks for advice. Xposed, good option.
But, yeah, I'm guessing too, because there's not much about that (connected with G6) on google.

If the icons were themed then they should stay themed on the lock screen? If you dont mind, which theme are you using? maybe there is another resolution of icon that needs to be added for this to be shown.
And which icons are they??
What launcher are you using??
I can say that i have found on my themes that even though i themed my icons, that when i press the home screen to change wallpapers that the original gallery icon shows up. So i may need to add different sizes and get those the right size.

Yup, I saw that theme also changes icons. I know that. You can also DL icon packages (MIUI) which also change icons, but they're not quit the same as original icon form package ...
The only problem is, that there's hard to found theme with all the icons. For example, non of original LG theme don't have exDialer icon.
So, a little playing with themes help somehow.

No sadly we cant theme non system applications with this theme engine. And what can do is still limited. We cant touch everything.
So yea you will need to find an icon pack that works. Sorry
