I just installed NFS Most Wanted on my Nexus 4. The graphics are amazing but the game lags quite badly. Surely the phone should have a good enough graphics processor to cope with this game.
is the phone warm? maybe its the thermal throttling
No problems with lag on my friends Nexus 4 and NFS most wanted. Plays flawlessly.
It lags on my nexus 7 too

maybe it's not optimized for 4.2 or the s4 pro :S who knows
It should not lag : look at this test at 12:12, the game run perfectly http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-ksE6RZcI8

Hello,
has someone else performance Problems when playing "Contre Jour"?
After 5-10 Minutes it begins to lag.
Yup...

Me too. Maybe it isn't updated to work well on 4.2

Hi, thanks for the answers. I was a little disappointed with the gaming perfomance, hope it gets better in the future.
When it occurs after 5-10 minutes, its likely to be caused by the thermal throttling.

Yes, but it happens in other games not so strongly .
And this game should not need so much power.
Is the N7 is a good tablet for Gaming?
I thinking on getting tablet but the main use would be for gaming.
Or should I get another tablet?
The price of this tablet is one cheaper out there, if have you have another option tell me.
Thanks in advance.
Lol really? Let see, 4 core tegra 3, 1.3 GHz, 1gb ram, hogy 12 gpu.
Short answer is yes.

I game on mine pretty often. Plays pretty much anything.

All I have to really say is Tegra 3. 1GB of RAM? No problem. Small device.
I mainly ONLY use mine for gaming. Perfect size and it runs smoothly.
Thanks for your help, I'm getting N7 soon.

Anytime the Nexus 7 can handle anything you throw at it gamewise.

I have had no problems at all with my nexus plays anything and everything easy. I find 7" easier than 10" for tablet gaming.
My one recomendation would be get the 32gb nexus cause 16 aint enough if your gaming. Most games are coming in around 2gb each for the top games anyway.
Best tablet for gaming <3
If it was a 412MHz ARM9 with a Adreno 130 I'd we worried. Its a Quad Core T30L so tamed are pretty smooth with only a few dropped frames.

Yep, I strictly use mine for gaming.
I like to think of my Nexus 7 as a "Multimedia Consumption Device"
I use it for Gaming, Movies, FB, Music, Instagram, YouTube, Tumblr, you name it. If it's gaming, social, pictures, music or video it's on my Nexus.
It'll be just fine for anything.

I ve decided to play some games on my N4 but noticed very big battery consumption. I ve played 2 races in NFS MW and battery went down from 36 to 18... I am on CM10.1 with cm kernel. Tried faux one and huge drain as well.
How does your N4 behave during games?

It's a demanding game. There's not really anything weird about this. I always turn on airplane mode whenever I play a demanding game like NFS MW. Just turn off mobile data, Wi-Fi, GPS, etc, and your battery should last longer while playing games.
Is your battery drain when not playing games normal?
Yes its fine while not playing. Just gelt a bit dissapointed with the results after gaming. Well if thats normal, then i have to live with it

Try to play a demanding game on your laptop. See how fast your battery drains then . It's normal.

Now playing 2 races and draining 18% doesn't seem so bad anymore does it?
If you use faux and his app try:
1. Eco mode and under clock(1.134ghz), Under volt
2. GPU 200
3. Turn off data, lower brightness
Those are settings I use got NFS.

if you are on totally stock, it might be normal. It will all depends on what type of games you are playing.
Just a thought....
Games normally need an interactive response from CPU, GPU, hardware, ROM, RAM, and kernel (and other resources which I miss to mention). If you are playing a considered "heavy" games, then this is normal. But if you are playing like light games, might be something wrong with your ROM and/or Kernel (if you are using custom ROM / Kernel) -- might not suit your needs in playing the games.
Thanks alot

Monument Valley. Great graphics.

How is gaming performance for you all? Hitman Sniper is a bit laggy for me. Thought the GPU on the 820 version was supposed to be beastly.

Are you using batteru saver mode of in your game setting there is a option to turn down and up the fps, maybe yours got set to down
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
Nope I don't even got the game launcher running. Some games run smoothly with constant 60 fps like mortal kombat x and batman which are developed by Warner Bros enterprise. Every game that's developed by this Warner Bros company runs so good on my s7 edge exynos

Make sure you have Game Launcher installed and the "Save Power during Game" setting is turn off.
Try using clash of clans or clash royale it runs smoothest on my s7 edge compared to all of my other friends
Also need for speed too

Download Warhammer 40K. It was released today, and it's a really really pretty game. The Edge plays it without any issues, even after maxing both graphics and resolution (in-game after first campaign).

Fun game. The graphics are great and smooth when you crank them up. My S7E gets nice and toasty when playing, lol.
The heat pipe works great though. It doesn't get too hot, and there's no throttling.

Yeah, mine's getting warm-ish, but not hot. You're on Rogers, so I'm assuming you have the Exynos version (like me)?
Path to Luma.
The Room 3 (Best game I've ever played with perfect graphics and gameplay)! It's worth the money!
