Rooting after U.S Cupcake applied

how do i reroot it after i unrooted then applied the link found of us cupcake 1.5?

i think you should have waited for a rooted version to be released for this very same reason. you can root back to another rooted version via the method you did the first time but you have to wait until someone cracks this version if you want to stay with it.

Should you do a wipe before updating to the the official OTA cupcake? Or just update.

Does the Google Ion (Firmware) receive OTA Updates?

Hi guys,
some days ago, I flashed my Magic with the Google Ion Firmware.
Do I receive OTA Updates with that firmware or do I have to update it manually?
At the moment I have the DRC83 Build but I think the current build is DRC92 (isn't it)?

Did a little bit of looking around, and from what I can gather the build DRC92 is an EU build and DRC83 is US.
I'm on a UK phone, but i flashed to..
signed-google_ion-ota-14721.zip (Android 1.6 rls on HTC dev page)
..using dferreira's guide in the dev forum. From what I can gather there is no difference between the builds, but by using the ION rom you should be able to get the 2.0 update via OTA when it's available from Google/HTC

Yeah, I flashed it the same way (I have also the same SPL xD). I just wasn't sure, if I get those Updates OTA.

Hehe no worries - dferreira told me that he's pretty sure we (Magic users) will get 2.0 via OTA, so I'd guess in the next month or so (maybe same time as hero).
And heh, emails go straight to my phone so i'm usually pretty contactable

[Q] What's needed for the official 2.2 update?

Ok, don't think this has been asked before, but if it has - firstly very sorry and secondly I just can't find a clear answer!
- What do you need to be running to be able to receive and install the official 2.2 update when released on an O2 locked Streak?
Since buying my Streak I have subsequently upgraded from the official 1.6 to Steves 2.2 v 1.1 possibly 1.1.1, I'm guessing I have changed the baseband as I don't recall what it was originally (currently 20321-EU and the kernal is 2.6.32.9)
I'm guessing I will need to downgrade to an old official version of Android but what too, and with what baseband?

2.1 official update 8105 + stock recovery base band 21-eu

Since nobody has actually been able to try it yet, nobody can say for sure what you'll need except that it needs to be unlocked v00 to get the earliest release.

This stock recovery baseband you talk about is that what I'm currently running - 20321-EU???

That's the O2 baseband, your update will be in December with the rest of us.

So does that mean I will still receive the OTA update without having to downgrade to 2.1 or 1.6 even with all the unofficial upgrades I've done???

as i mention in first post its 2.1 not 2.2 you have to downgrade it to 2.1 official

How to return back to official 3.1 after downgrade to root?

I tried to root my asus. I used Primodial way to root and consequently I downgraded to older vesion than 3.1 then when it was time to upgrade to Primodial 3.1 I found there is no TW version available. Now I m stuck in older vesion and no way to upgrade to 3.1. I even downloaded official 8.2.3.9 version to updrade but it failed while update. Any idea how I can do it?

Check the Asus website. The US and WW 3.1 versions are now available. I couldn't navigate the Taiwan version of the site to see if the TW version was there though

you didnt get my point. I downloaded official 8.2.3.9 from asus website and tried to use it to change back to unrooted version because when you root your transformer automatic update is disabled for the way Primodial suggests to root. I tried to return to unrooted official 8.2.3.9 but i received error while trying to do it through zip file in sd.

Galaxy S7 Edge Nougat Beta Question

Hello everyone !
I am from Romania and i have an Galaxy S7 Edge ( SM-935F )
I am really excited about the new update ! I have seen many video about it and about installation with Odin.
So i wanna ask you, is a possibility to install it on my phone here in Romania ? with Odin ?
I will have problems in the future to install the official update for my country ?
Or should i wait till i get the official update ?

If your phone is exynos version, you should be able to flash the official nougat beta rom using odin. But you would not be able to receive OTA from your carrier with the official nougat beta rom. I would recommend you to stay with your current rom and wait for official OTA updates.

You can flash the beta version, is very fast and smooth. When you decide, you cand flash back the stock rom and wait for the full version release of Android 7.
