HELP...Digitizer buggered

help needed
my digitizer appears to be on the way out, the touch screen alignment keeps shifting for no good reason, it used to do it only when i rotated the screen but now it even happens when i keep it in portrait only.
Also, right after i turn the uni on the touch screen won`t work for atleast a couple the seconds, no clicking noise and no indication i am touching it all.
The problem is getting worse with time.
Any thoughts/advice will be much appreciated.

doesnt happen when i switch from portrait to landscape, but the alignment keeps getting messed up.
i'm thinking of opening the screen part, maybe i'll tighten the lcd and screws inside or something...

i did it just now. tightend screws, made the connectors sit properly, cleaned the edges of the screen a bit...
lets hope it will make a difference.

i gave in and ordered a new touch screen from ebay, £11 inc p&p, can`t argue with that.....

screen not arrived yet..... but the problems i was having seem to have gone away ?.
i`ve just flashed a different ROM, (although it was one i`d flashed before), and the problems i was having are gone, very weird.
this wasn`t the first time i`d re-flashed since the problem came up, and i`ve re-loaded all the same software i had when i was getting digitizer drift.
i will probably re-place the screen (when it comes ) anyway, but.....lets hear it for faults that fix them-selves.

Seems so!!
im on the 10th day without ANY problems! screen alignment is accurate and STAYS that way!
im happy so far. maybe you should try it also...

I love this site but my elf has, as of yesterday decided to play up.
Intermittently the touch screen does not work. Actually that’s 95% of the time. And the out of the blue it does and then the bottom left of the screen (soft key) lights up like it’s being pressed… any ideas or should I ditch it and upgrade my hardware?

have your phone dropped in water?or have u again align the screen?

No,
never dropped it in any moisture what so ever.
I would have trashed the phone if I had. I have tried the re align screen still no joy.
I have even tried different roms. That's why I think it may be a hardware issue. The annoying thing is that it does not do it all the time!

time for a new digitizer, buy one and change it

LG gt540 touchscreen problem SOLVED

Hello all, I hope this post can help you with the same or similar problem I had.
My LG gt540 started having a problem 2 months ago, the touchscreen got offset by 2 centimetres(1 inch) verticaly down, this was very annoying specially texting and couldnt access the top panel. Ex: to unlock the phone I had to press 1 inch above the green button.
Sometimes(I dont know why) it went back to normal, but about a week since the problem started it just got permanent, I tried rebooting, taking the battery, etc, nothing worked... Even tried to go to the calibration option but the offset was to much so it said out of range...
Then I read something online about the heat caused touchscreen problems, so I was thinking... hardware dont really like heat, and I always carry my phone on my pocket, the body heat could be damaging the touchscreen, lets try cold, it could solve it, long shot but what do I have to lose?
Left my phone in the freezer for 10 minutes, turned on, and it worked! for 1 month now its back to normal!
Hope it helps you, but try first freezing it powerd off, may be safer.

I've had screen calibration problems since i started flashing custom roms.
In my case the screen positions are slightly off at the right side of the screen. When I want to type an "p" i have to touch where the "o" is on a german keyboard.
I'm trying your solution right now.

I have problems for the outer 4 sides.
It's worth to try.

Didn't work for me, it was only fine for 5 minutes....

Also didn't work for me.
Besides, after puting it in the freezer the display protection foil now looks a bit strange.

I've solved it ... I have given two full turns to mobile and it seems that it is calibrated

recently am facing issues with this s view.
I am not using a s view cover but still the phone shifts to s view suddenly. But only for a second or so and again comes back to normal.
this happens quite often for me when am just holding the phone. Or trying to make a call.this is annoying.
Is my s4 broke.. am worried.
please help me out to solve this

You have to move your phone in a figure 8 position in the air about three times to calibrate your compass for it to work properly.

The flip view cover contains a magnet which screws with the compass, rendering it useless. If you're using the cover remove it and see if it helps.

No dude. It was for the person trying to calibrate their compass.

Calibrations doesn't help ...
I've got CM 5.1 + newest GAAPS and calibration of compass last only for few seconds-2/3 minutes tops and then it's gone and compass again showing wrong directions not even restarting Google Maps - (usually 180* degree opposite to the actual direction). Funny thing, when I downgraded to original Orange Kit Kat 4.4.2 compass worked precise so It assured me, that there is not problem with hardware only software. I cannot use: *#0*# because my I9505 says "Problem with the connection or wrong MMI code" (translating from polish).
All other things including GPS, accelerometer and other sensors works perfectly well.
Anybody know the solution?

Screen colors have gone wonky

Hey guys,
My 2 year old S8's screen colors started spazzing out today. Everything has gotten a very green hue to it, including blacks. There's even a little flickering occasionally and some weird shadows have appeared for a few seconds.
Anyone know what this means/how to fix it? I think I'm going to try factory resetting

Supposed hardware issue. Try full brightness and see if it persists. Also disable always on display if you got it on

Alas, the screen just yeeted out. My phone is effectively dead. Rest in PP.
