Today galaxy s3 got 4.1.2 leaked rom with new feature which isnt on our beloved note 2.
How do you think, will we get faster 4.1.2 official version than s3 owners?

yeh lol, later we will forget about modding android, when stock android will be more and more advanced
Amazing, we don't have to wait 4.2 it seems! Well, IF it comes to n7100 as well...

I think samsung hired a whole new team of programmers to create their 2012 lineup of phone OS lol. This year is just so so much better than it was previously. More and more stuffs from Jkay mod are actually getting in stock ROM!

Android 4.1.2 for the Samsung galaxy note 2.. possibility new features
all of the leaked features are already present in our device lol .. Here's a run down on leaked s3 jellybean
1.Smart rotation
2.Gallery (note 2)
3.Page buddy and s artist
4. Multi Window (2 apps one screen)
5. Edit toggles or add new ones(wifi, bluetooth etc) on the notification bar
6. 4.1.2 touchwiz themed jelly swipe keyboard
7. Facebook news ticker on the lock screen
Note:- this isn't the final build many features are missing
Features that might be available on the final buid
1. Day dream (android screen saver)
2. Photosphere
3. Screen recorder
4. New Gmail( which has to be manually updated via playstore)
5. Fast or slow motion from video camera mode
So judging by this I think we can expect stuff like
1.Custom notification toggles
2.Screen recorder
3.Day dream
4. Improved swipe keyboard with spen functionality
5. Photosphere
6. New Gmail
7. (My guess)New icons from multi Window including Google +, foursquare, instagram and pintrest.
Possibility on final build for both the devices
1. Swipe lockscreen from widgets to camera
2. Live camera/gallery at the same time like on the nexus
3. Black status bar instead of grey(hopefully) or just flash a decodex rom by some magical dev
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
somehow i dont think samsung will release 4.1.2 for note 2, just not their style
4.1.2 on the S3 is nothing.
4.1.2 on the S2. That is something! I just flashed and the phone is flying, really awesome stuff.
======== edit =========
S2 4.1.2 vs Note 2 4.1.1 LJ3
My S2 is faster in 3d graphics than my Note 2
Well obviously not, it's 800x480 vs 1280x720 but it's impressive nonetheless

too bad, would really love touch wizz 4.0
i don't like the icons in touchwizz 3.0, they are to big
as tw 4 is the only real benefit of the s2 i 'd really wonder if samsung was so stupid to give it to the galaxy s users.
i'd probably fire the responsible manager as sammy marketing chief if that actually happens as user i hope for tw4 of course, cant be worse than tw3 or cm as it is atm.
I would like to try TouchWiz 4. The YouTube videos of the SGS2 seems to be very nice. TouchWiz 3 was great, but has some problems, like the homescreen is left and not in the middle.
We wont get tw4 as we are only single prossesor and that will be reason and all these mates at samsung stories starting to get boaring only fact is beta out and final will be realesed when they decide to .be content with what we have amd thats the number 1 mobile on planet that initself should suffice but we want gingerbread are we ever going to be satisfied i dout it

For that you could try gtg465x's modded touchwiz 3. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=822523. It has middle homescreen, adds alphabetical order of app drawer and a nice 5 columns fixed apps on the bottom. You only need a rooted device and works on stock ROMs
Are people realy taking this kinda post seriously?
Can we have an "Anti-Thanks" or "Kick" button, please?
Well i do also know around 100 people at the nordic samsung support and they have no clue when 2.3 will be out but as they say seeing that 2.2.1 did just get released again i wont expect it before the nexus s are on 2.4 lool... or like this... around summer time.

bah..tw3 or 4 are slowly and heavy ,,realy i prefer cyanogenmod..
I hear that the 2.3 will come out before Milestone 2.2.
p.s. I just a angry mob just switch from MS to I9000
Still no Gingerbread/beard so I guess we'll just have to wait until end of March/beginning of April which is just around the corner. =)

It's Also means no JB for us I'm afraid
Envoyé depuis mon GT-N7000 avec Tapatalk
I dont see why that is necessarily the case but I won't lose sleep over it. JB seems very nexus specific in its focus. I don't see Samsung making any of their phones do extraordinary new things just by going to JB, especially when it comes to performance. They've only in the last few months managed to make the ICS roms for the Note a worthwhile download from that point of view.
I'm quite happy with ICS as a core on the note to be honest. What I don't like are some of the design problems like the notification drawer as pointed out above.
The only bad things I see from not having JB are that we will never have Google now - which is just a gimmick imho, I would probably not use it after the first week - and because they will never post the source for a JB kernel, then CM10 will never develop to its potential.

Yes thank you but that is a little disappointing!
Look at the Galaxy S3 notification drawer. That is also 4.0.4, currently but is more streamlined and has a scrollable toggle bar and a brightness bar in the drawer. Also it doesn't take up a huge amount of space with a "Settings" button.

notification drawer of note is waste space, note has a 5.3 screen, very hard to control.

Jelly Bean has already been officially confirmed when Note 2 was unveiled.

That's not entirely correct. Samsung said the Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy Nexus would get Jelly Bean. They also mentioned that they would test JB for a few more devices whether it was possible to update them to JB or not. Among those devices is the note. But they have never explicitely announced that the Note will get JB.

Nice find. Thanks for posting. It has Learning Hub so that's finally being released (at least in Germany). There's still no Reader's Hub or Social Hub. It also said "pen removed" in the quick settings so its got at least one of the Note 2's features ported over. If Google Now only works in portrait mode that will suck. It was fast and fluid but it had no apps or widgets running; the real test to see if there's a difference is when we all load it up with the crap we use everyday.
Yes I am pretty much expecting us to get JB and the full Note 2.0 treatment. Reason being that Samsung will want 10.1 owners to also own the Note 2 as our phone so the devices need to be highly compatible.
Also they probably don't want to deal with 10.1 owners *****ing them out 24/7.

This is what made me question it...
I also think it'll add more value on a 3G Note than a Wi-Fi because it'll be online all the time and Google Now can collect more behavioral info. I haven't used it yet so still don't fully understand what it does, how it does it, or why I need it.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

In my daily use, it is even better than 4.2 and 4.3...
Games runs more smooth and without any lag,
But remember, its an alpha build (CyanogenMoD features wasn't ported yet) and it haves bugs and graphical glitches...
Benchmarking, I got 10058 points (versus 6880 in Stock 4.1.2)
Press thanks button if you liked the video
Hopefully p5110 version will be released soon
Screencast?
Thanks for the video! Does inbuilt screencast work on this KitKat Rom?
Cm 11 is cool, hope Cody can fixed the orientation glitch and Screenshot bug also BBM blackscreen..beside that this ROM was great
Errors found on the early build of CyanogenMod 11 on the Tab 2 7"
1. Black boxes appear when browsing
2. Screen rotation bug
3. @Narciso Neto , when i play 3d games like Modern combat 4, I get lags which is very unlikely on CyanogenMod 10.2 ...can you please tell me how you got it to run smooth.....
Other than that KitKat is Very Very VERY AWESOME!!!!!! UI is DARN SMOOTH but gaming performance........that is where it lacks i guess.....but really do hope they fix this

1. This error shows up in every app that uses browser interface (Instagram like page, GNow, BBM etc), there must be and error with rendering but it should be fixed
2. Should be fixed also (not a big deal)
3. I never palyed MC4 on my tab, but less-hardcore games like GTA III, ShadowGun Deadzone, Dead Trigger got and improvement on perfomance...
KitKat drivers for our GPU (PowerVR) isn't out, and maybe never be released, but I think gaming will be improved also, and get even better than JB's

Temaseks 4.4 is also my choice. My device feels like a totally new phone. Way faster, the 4.4 launcher is quite nice. But really.. the speed of the OS is amazing!
The link to the plus.google Mod above is misleading. It is not Samsungs 4.4 Kitkat with touchwiz, it is a compiled, unofficial CyanogenMod 4.4.
If you're into the Samsung Software which comes with TouchWiz, you'll have to wait until Samsung releases a 4.4 alpha/beta.. I didn't want to wait half a year for my device beeing lagfree, so I switched to CyanogenMod two weeks after I got my S3, never looked back.
Now on Temaseks 4.4 Kitkat sweets:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1797109
Well , if its true , i personaly beleave it will be awesome, as fast as CM/Aosp.
If you look at the 4.3 atm its extreamly fast , responsive , i havent had any redraws in days and some 350mb ram free all the time.
With 4.4 it can just be even better and ... 400+ MB ram free ?
I have very high expectations for 4.4 TouchWizz roms.
Who's betting we won't actually get a fix for the botched 4.3 update anbd they will let it carry on till they kick this out, which will probably as others have said, be later than expected
If that happens and they leave my phone in this state till springtime I swear I will never ever buy a samsung product in my life again. Why don't they just give as an option to undo the update? They admitted that there was a problem by pulling it. Make it right then.
