best dialer I've used. The Sammy's one is just crap.
I get a constant complaint from friends new to Android and the SGS II: "I tap the phone icon, but I don't get the dialpad - where is it??"
I guess it's not so intuitive to just scroll the pane at upper part of the screen...
The ICS (CM9 one) is better, but Dialer One is still the one I choose.
Dialer One does not work for me. Although I like the interface better, it takes to long to start. Maybe it is because I have to many contacts in my phone.
I have a stock rom installed (2.3.6)
Anyone else experienced this problem ? I am now back to the stock dialer.

It has some options that I missed from the Stock dialer such as vibrate on when someone picks up the phone on the other side and Speed dial.
exDialer works very well for me. I used custom one and go contacts too but this is way better.

I have them and I only have the stock dialer.
Settings->Call->Call Alert->Outgoing call vibration
I don't know if those settings only affect the stock dialer or if they are system settings and affect all dialers - I think the latter.
Speed dial:
Dialer->Menu button->Speed dial setting
exDialer takes too long to load call logs and contacts. Went back to stock dialer, fast and functional.
touchwiz rom and slide to call or send messsage is the best
Stock dialler with ICS theme. Maintains functionality of stock but adds the sexiness of ICS
Prefer stock due to left/right swype on contact and SNS integration only for FB to sync contact pics. And has T9 compared to stock CM7 dialler.
Stock dialer for sure (on ICS ). go+ keyboard is a must.

Since none of the current ROM's offer everything I want I decided to return my G2 to the stock ROM and tweak it. So far I'm extremely happy with the results. I basically AOSP'd several key apps along with a few mods (recents key, black bars, de-clutter notification/status bar) The problem I'm having Is that my Call log now doesn't work and I would of course, like it too. here's what I've done and what it netted me.
All the .apks I replaced the LG apps with were sourced from my AOKP'd Galaxy Nexus. Unless other wise noted I also yanked the .odex file. Further, unless noted everything went without issue.
Replaced LGCalculator with Calculator
Replaced LGCalender and LGCalenderProvider with Calender and CalendarProvider
Replaced LGGallery with Galler (this added the AOSP camera as well, LG camera app still intact and functional)
Replaced LGContacts and LG ContactsProvider with Contacts and Contacts provider (This broke Messaging and added the AOSP dialer, also caused constant errors until I wiped cach/data for the replaced contacts app, after which the errors ceased)
Replaced LGUSMms with Mms (this restored Messaging functionality)
Tried to replace LGPhone and LGTelephony provider with Phone and TelephonyProvider but this caused constant errors.
I'm EXTREMELY happy with my "AOSP'd" G2 but the problem I'm having is that now my Call log in the AOSP dialer is completely inoperable, additionally my voicemails (google voice) don't show up there like the would on my GNex. I would like to fix the Call Log not working, I'm assuming it's something to do with the dialer not looking in the right place or being fed the information but I have no idea how to fix it.
Help?

I don't want to use swipe dialer, I don't like swipe dialer. I want to use the AOSP dialer I am using and I want the call log to work, I know there is a way to fix this.
I have installed several dialers and contacts apps to test this, but whenever I add a new contact in a contact app, it would open the ugly touchwiz interface again. When I would press the call button in a dialer app it would open the system dialer. Is there a way to overwrite this? It makes no sense that it would go out of the app and defeats the purpose of using a different app at all when it just shows me the ugly touchwiz interface again.

Dialer or In call UI?
Disabling stock phone app, and installing any third party dialer shall work.
But In call UI can not be changed easily.

call ui ,now i use true phone , but i need call app build record call , not use third app.
Anyone gotten the Google Dialer up and working correctly yet? I've installed the magisk module and the app. Dialer seems to work but when I make a call it opens the OnePlus dialer instead and the Google dialer seems to freeze on the call screen. I tried freezing the OnePlus dialer in titanium and the Google dialer still responded the same way
