When exactly the item will be shipped from the Play Store?

Hi guys!
First point - I found really weird that less than 1 week before the release date we cannot pre-order it from the Google Play Store (like Microsoft did it with the Surface). And...
Second point - ...there is a lack of information of what will happen the 13th. When google will start to ship the units? Do we have to worry that will be sold out in the first hours? Is it possible to select 1day shipping from the Play Store in Europe (Germany or UK)?

I'm wondering the same thing. I'm guessing in a couple of days we will start to see people from Walmart post pictures if they receive them in stock.

Why don't you ask Google if it is so important to you? It will probably ship around the 13th and be with you 2 days later. You won't die if it's 3 days... You'll still have it on time to complain about the device on this forum one week later .

The point is that i will be in Germany till Saturday morning (the 17th). So this will be the only opportunity for me to get one in advance..

Anyone know when google will add the 10 to the store on the 13th?

If you put your email in to be notified when the tablet becomes available, I am sure Google will send out an email to you within an hour of it being available, probably only minutes

Google have consistently sent my notifications several days after the product (both hardware and software services) is actually available

Nexus 7 play store shipments took a few weeks to arrive here in the UK. I'd like to know when they're in shops so I can just pick one up in person.

sold out in less than 20 Minutes

well, every half hour here in Australia I was refreshing the nex4 16gb store page, every half hour didnt really seem to be enough, because the 16gb version was sold out here in less than 20 minutes. what its going to be like for the rest of you guys, im not sure.
also for anyone that was relying on the email going out to notify you that its availabe, dont, I never got one!
just some info there for you guys.

Around 12.15 pm Sydney time. That'll be +11 GMT. Strange time if you ask me.

so i guess the sale starts around 12pm local time everywhere. would be better if people from other parts of the world can confirm the sale time.

Was lucky enough to pick up a 16GB Nexus 4
Checked my phone at 12.03pm Adelaide Time or 12.33pm Sydney time and saw the "Add to Cart"
Now just gotta wait for it to get shipped. ^^

I am in Melbourne Australia, I doubt the nexus 4 sold out. Here is what I think happened:
Someoen made them available too early for us AUstralians by mistake and went 'woops' later and put it back to coming soon.
This could well be true because:
1. 12:15 PM for available release time is weird
2. Not a lot of Australians know about the nexus 4 as most Australians are iSheeps and they wouldn't know about this availability on november 13th unless they were reading android news.
3. And with not that much people knowing about it, and just in general tit would be impossible for them to run out of stock in less than half an hour, even the iphones which is marketed profesionally isnt even able to do that (get sold out in less than 30 mins)
4. Many people have called google and they have said that there will be no seperate times, 12 AM PST
5. 1 more hour and 15 minutes until 12 AM PST guys lets keep our hopes up

But the 8GB version was available for a longer period of time. If what you assume is true, they would have fixed all accidents at once...

Then how did Sparky_boi order one genius, you were too slow, I gotta wait until next month to ship it from States via a relative and wanna make sure it comes with a case and screen protector so its gonna be a LOOONG wait

I tried to order N4 and N10 and added them to my cart and tried to checkout but google just gave me an error and deleted my cart.
After repeating the precedure 5 times the devices eventually got sold out.

Any word ontwhen the next batch will be released, or even guesses?

Went on sale at 11:40 exact on EST here in New York. Snagged one just in time, and my order went through and I got a confirmation email so now I am awaiting for it to be shipped!

Thanks. Might have to jump the gun on this. There's too many things I'm not thrilled about with the N4, but I guess it's understandable considering the ridiculously low price (relatively speaking...).

I got a 16gb all the way to the final screen. Once I hit submit order the screen greyed out. Tried about 100 other times with no success. Very frustrating...

Yeah, what a waste. 1209EST, it is back to coming soon.
After many retries, I managed to get all the way to the end of Google Checkout. Had my shipping and billing info and had hit Accept and Buy to be greeted by "Your purchase will complete momentarily..." with a grayed out button.
Nothing happened, and eventually the phone got taken out of my cart.
Good thing I suppose. Was probably going to refuse shipment anyway.

Well it was hard work but I finally managed to get my order though for the Nexus 10.
How was everyone else's experience? Did you have problems with the Google Play site like I did?

Still having problems, trying to order Nexus 4 16gb with bumper and nexus 10 32 gb in one basket but even they appears and disappears very quickly. Now none from nexus 4 devices is available, also there is no option to buy bumper for nexus 4 and only available option is to buy nexus 10 16gb... cant wait to buy them all

I'm sure you'll get there in the end, don't give up! I found i had more success having one of my Google accounts logged in Chrome and the other in IE and I was trying to get to the checkout using both accounts. Eventually I got through on one of them

Managed to get it after an hour hitting refresh and putting it in and out of the basket. The 16GB N10

yeah, N7 and N10 16gb is available for sale, but rest of nexuses are sold out :/

So is this even going to be available in the us by the time they allow us to order it or is it just going to be sold out in the us. I set two alarms and got no sleep to find out I don't even have a chance to purchase it.

Well UK orders are being shipped from Ireland therefore I would imagine US orders will be shipped from the US therefore they will all still be in stock for you guys. Everything was available to purchase from around 8:30am on the 13th so ppl from the US have a few hours to wait yet I guess...

I managed to get a 32gb version after some teething issues with the site. Looking forward to the weekend now if it arrives as promised.

When you guys ordered where there any options such as a charger or cover available?

Ordered the 32GB. There were no accessory options. Took me two goes after getting online at 8:30am before it went through. By the time I packed up and got to work (~20 mins later) it was all sold out.
Delivery was £9.99 and states "two day" delivery.
Hopefully this means we'll have them on Thursday.

Im in Canada and it never became on sale still tells me to notify. I never got any email and I checked every hour thru the night

The times posted were for European (and before that Austrailia), it probably hasn't made it to America yet, and by extension, Canada.
Does it say November 13th for you guys like the rest of us? You must be later today after they deal with all the orders from the rest of the world.

Current EST time is 9:50am correct? If so everything should be available to purchase now providing it hasn't sold out already. Everything in the UK was available from 8:30am onwards.

How long was the Nexus 4 sold out and when did you buy yours?

With the N5 coming soon, it's finally time to ditch my trusty old GNex. The G2 has most of the things I'm looking for in a phone (large, high quality screen, great battery life, excellent camera), but the $600 off-contract price and bloatware makes it a no go for me. The N5 looks really good on paper, but unfortunately it nerfs most of the things I like about the G2. I was hoping to wait for reviews and comparisons to come out first, but "waiting after release" for a Nexus product has it's own problems, in terms of actually being able to get one.
So I wanted to ask you guys for your experience with the N4. How long was it between being available at the Play Store and being sold out? Was it available for preorder and did it sell out even then? How long after selling out did it become available again? And when did you buy your N4 and how easy/hard it was to get?

And then a second batch was available after few weeks after.
And I think after 6~8 weeks most of the people who miss their chance with the 1st and 2nd batches got theirs.
I think after 2 or 3 months, they start having steady stock? Someone can correct this.
Google claims they did not anticipate that many buyers for the devices.
There wasn't a preorder on the release date,
but I'm sure they will have enough stock or preorder this time around.

i think your right but even after the 2 month there was still a 4-5 week waiting list

Well, I remember that I was mad at google on launch day because they started sales 30 minutes before it was supposed to go on sale, so by the time I was able to take out my phone in class to buy one, they were sold out. Then I had to wait until November 27th to buy one, that was when the second batch came out, and it arrived on Dec. 6th.

I'll add to this that on the first day, November 13th they did indeed sell out in the first 15 minutes which was 15 minutes before the official start time. I logged on at the correct time, noon pacific, and was still able to place an order but it was placed on backorder a day later, the system kept taking orders even though they were sold out throughout that first day. My backorder was filled on the 27th and arrived around the 6th some peoples backorders arrived weeks later and the system would periodically take new orders but they too would go into backorder. It took months to get it all sorted out.

I waited until January and I finally got too antsy and paid $415 for it on eBay. That's how impatient I am at times. Granted back then the markup I paid was only $115 (actually less since I didn't have to pay sales tax) since it was still price at $299 then. Was worth it to me.

Well technically speaking, Google never specified a time that it would go on sale. They only specified a date, and nothing else. The fact that it would launch at different places within their respective time zones was also unknown to us (however somewhat known to the US people as it launched in places like Australia and the UK first).
Everyone only had conjectures about the times, and lots of people like me checked at every time possible, including 9 PM the night before, 10 PM the night before, 11 PM the night before, midnight the night before, 9 Am the next morning, etc. I think people expected it to come at 9 AM like Google's usual launches, yet it ended up actually launching at 8:27 AM PST or something near that. People who checked at 9 AM, such as yourselves I'm assuming, were already too late unfortunately. I for some reason was just paranoid about it and had been refreshing the page every five minutes since nearly 8 AM. Still, even at 8:30, the site was having major problems and I was only able to get my order through at 9:00ish, a few minutes before it sold out. Sort of the reason was because my Google Wallet stuff wasn't ready yet, so yes, when you do order, have that address + credit card ready beforehand as the default.

I was in the first 15 minutes to order. I used a chrome app to refresh the page for me and alert when there was a change. I was awake all night until it was purchased (granted I work nights so it was no big deal for me). However, I didn't get it for like 4 weeks. I had to call Google a few times and they kept giving different answers and stated that some were some how lost, but if they manually looked it up they could find your order. So, I was way behind when I should have got it.

I ordered first day. Woke up 10 minutes after it went online and it was sold out. But, around 2pm I bought one after class. Unfortunately, I got that dreadful backorder email later that night took about two weeks to get mine from the second batch

Bought mine the first day. I was online ready to order it the night before and then everyone found out they wouldn't be selling it till the next morning at 9 am PST.

I got mine in about January. I couldn't get my hands on one in Europe until then.
Definitely worth the wait though :laugh:.
