I found a great s pen feature. When you're writing a note in s note, hold the pen about 1cm off the screen and press the s pen button. It will change automatically to the eraser. Do it again and it will change back to the pen.
What rom are u on does not work on ics

Lecture Notes is superb. Highly customizable, no lags, practical... So far I use it as my default note taking app.

I believe it lets you switch between your favourite pens that are setup. You have to add the eraser as a favourite pen and then it will toggle to it when pressed. These show up in the right side of the box when long pressing the pen icon.

I had the same problem but with the pencil tool. I found out that when I lay my palm ned hover close to the screen the button changes tolls just fine. But then I realized that it changes presets only and no rubber tool. It's strange because when I open a quick note the button changes last used drawing tool with rubber...
The same way that works in Snap Pad (which is actually a great app for very quick notes or screen annotations!)
And btw I don't think you can add the rubber in pen presets or at least I don't know how
If anyone knows please tell us !
Hi,
Anyone knows how to do this on the Galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition ? I want to quickly switch to eraser, but all I get is the "Air command"
spen 1 cm about the screen
You can do that on bamboo paper too.

It is. Very useful in the browser, too.
For me I don't like the pointer option(in papyrus app for exemple) , to remove it :
\system\usr\idc\sec_e-pen.idc
Enable touch.deviceType = pointer
Disable touch.deviceType = touchScreen
Reboot after change

Great video, thanks! Looking forward to jb. I love the different multitasking templates now. True multitasking on tablets has finally arrived. Hopefully they make it so that just about any app, 3rd. Party included, will be able to float or multitask. Also looking forward to the performance enhancements of jb. The ICS on note 10.1 was already very fast. With GUI given priorities in jb, the speed can only get faster.
I thumb up the vid and subscribed
Something you didnt mention in your review is that when a mini app is maximized you can reveal a min/max buttom at the top by swiping down on the top of the window. This allows you to return a maximized app to the desktop grid.
Also the apps in the grid only maximize when you give a different app the focus. You are able to touch and manipulate an app that already has the focus without it maximizing. So until they fix this, if you really want to multitask, just gice an app the focus then minimize it back to the grid by swiping down and revealing the min button.
A pain but it works for now.

I thought the exact same thing, hopefully they bring back the minimizing button. I feel confident they will though for some reason.
Hey so while fiddling around with my Note 2 today I discovered a new feature that I have never seen in any videos or in any thread so I figured I must not be the only one who didn't know.
This is an alternative to the current back and menu gestures which are shaped like this < and ^.
1) Go back gesture: On the bottom right side of the screen flush to the edge, simply swipe down while holding the S-Pen button, this will trigger the back button soft key.
2) Menu gesture: Similarly, just swipe with the S-Pen pressed on the bottom left side of the screen.
Although this is ultimately the same as the other gestures, I find this one MUCH easier to get used to rather than the awkward backwards arrow. Hope you enjoy this tip :highfive:

Yeah I was wondering about that.. the eye scroll does not really seem to work for me, nor the display staying on while you are looking at it. It seems the dimmer the light the worst it tends to be.

I'm curious, did anyone buy the phone for the ability to draw on it? I was excited to see they included replacement nibs with the note3.
I've drawn on all three notes, and the note 3 has some really good pressure sensitivity, better then my cintiq at times.
Anyone else want to share any drawings or other art they've done on it so far, or even the Note 1 or 2?
You can see mine here.

To everyone else, thanks. Also the programs I used are Sketchbook pro/mobile (which amusingly enough I don't like for desktop), and Artflow, both very good programs for the note line of tablets and phones. It allows for full blown drawing and rendering in a tiny app.

I'm in no way an artist. But I do enjoy drawing on this phone. Its something I used to do a lot to relax when I had a notepad on me but I haven't carried a pen and paper with me for years. Its nice to be able to draw again and just doodle whenever I feel like it and not have to plan on bringing anything more with me.
Here is something I drew a few days ago. Just getting used to the program.
