Tomtom 5 crashing after 10 minutes

I spend some time by searching the solution for my problem, which is that when I install Tomtom 5 [bakonl] it crashes after a while. I found an update 5.1 but it behaved the same.
Did anyone have the same problem? Can anyone direct me to some place where this was addressed? Thanx in advance.

POI Patch
Well, it seems there might be a remedy. Unfortunately, I cannot find a working download link. Does anyone have the one and only "POI Patch TTN5"? I'd appreciate it very much!

Ik had zelfde problemen met TT5 op mijn Orange SPV M500. POIs uitgezet was destijds enige oplossing. Op moment gebruik ik TT niet meer dus een directe oplossing had ik niet meer nodig. Hopelijk vind je snel die link naar die POI patch
(the above is just some dutch bla bla, ignore it)

The POI patch is availeble on the FTP

try to delete or replace the file "Poi.dat"

Can you be more specific, please? I was unable to find it...
More on the "crash" topic:
As it was suggested somewhere in this forum, I disabled the POI display. It helped and I kept playing with it. The Bakonl version has also speed-limit cameras POIs. I thought that there might be a problem. But later on I reached the Benelux plus map (speed-limit cameras not included) and the problem is the same. Thus, either you have to disable displaying of POIs or you need to use the patch (I'm still trying to get it somewhere).

Don't know if this was just coincidence but mine was working fine with POI's, then I received a file from Bluetooth and it started crashing. I moved the file from MyDocs to Storage Card and this stopped the crashing. I think it may have something to do with memory available to TomTom because when I have a large file in MyDocs it crashes after 2 minutes or less. If I have a few pics in there it takes 10-20 mins before it crashes. I just store things on my storage card now and that seems to have fixed the problem.

s2u2 ringtone problem?

Help!
I installed s2u2 on my wing and had ringtones I made for certain contacts associated with those contacts....it worked fine. Then I had to return the wing because of a defect and have since got a replacement.
Again, I installed s2u2 and now instead of playing the ringtones I created, it plays that stupid tmobile jingle.
Can anyone help out?
I was wondering if it was an error associated with my having installed Pocket CM. I installed it and couldn't get the ringtones to work with s2u2. So I uninstalled Pocket CM and STILL can't get these tones to work.

neither of those programs woud affect your ringtone.
have they worked since you have gotten the new phone?
were they on the phone or on your sd card?
did you try re-associating by re-editing your contact?

It sounds to me like, they just sent you a new phone and your settings weren't in the new one obviously.
If you've set them up and your still losing them it may be a problem If your ringtones are stored on your SD card, it may have :
Corrupted
or
Come loose, and not recognized as being in by phone
Try soft resetting, you may have to set the ring tones back up thru sounds & notifications.

since i installed S2U2 my phone dont play any rington.
on call = no ring
on sms = no ring
on email = no ring
i have set the default ringtone of WM6.

Seit ich S2U2 installiert habe, gibt mein Telefon keinen Ton von sich.
Bei Anruf = kein Ton.
Bei SMS = kein Ton.
Bei Email = kein Ton.
trotz eingestellten standart-Klingelton von WM6.

have u gone into sounds & notifications and set them up?
is the sound turned up? Does ur phone play any sound at all, for ex an mp3?

u have to convert them to wav files instead of m4a...seem to have fix the problem. the files will be bigger tho.

How to define folder for fotos in X1 Mediapanel

Hello to all,
does anybody know how to define folders or albums in the panel media Xperiance on the X1.
I just have access to ALL images and no possibilies to define albums.
See screenshots of the panel.
That panel e.g. also shows the images of the navigation software wayfinder, which was installed by myself on the x1.
My target: Select folders of fotos, which should be shown here.
I appreciate your help.

I don't hold much hope of a solution from SE even if they do respond but hopfully a new firmware update will solve the issue.

We have so many high hopes for the next firmware pdate... but so far... nothing...

Different strokes for different folks
The problems with the Sony Media Panel not viewing pictures by folders or albums is, that is not what it was designed to do. It is not a general picture viewer, windows already has one of those.
What Sony Media Panel is for is for viewing pictures you have taken with your X1, which automatically become albums using the dates they were taken, these are the only albums it will pick up and the only ones that will register as albums.
Sony have not sought to duplicate software on the X1, but simply to highlight and enhance areas they thought windows was weak.
We have the same problem with media player and Sony Player. One plays wav and wma, and the other plays MP4 files.
I think what allot of users were looking for were one piece of software to view all picture types, one for music, and one for all video types.
On the X1 we have different strokes for different folks.

It's OK to use the logic that it is intended for pictures taken with the camera. But why then does it also show random images like those in my sat nav software?

Yes, that´s a very good question:
Why does it also show those .bmp files of Nav software...But even if we know the answer it will not help us.

Media panel solutions
There are 3 menus in the picutre viewer, latest photos, which views photos taken recently, then we have camera albums, which shows photos catogoriosed by the date they were taken, thridly there is pictures, this is the one everyone is looking at, this one just scans and picks up all the bitmap, jpeg files etc on your X1, what you asking for is this option to be catagorised into folders. Sony Must have thought they had enough fuctionality already without this.
What you could try is convert your pictures into the same format as those produced when you take a photo, rename them like your photos are renamed, maybe then it would pick them up as descrete albums selctable from the second menu option, its longwinded but maybe a temp solution.
I think everybody loves the qaulity of the media panel, and these little additions would make it the indespensable one solution that everybody is looking for, instead of using different programs for different things.
I have probelms with S2V 0.42, this only picks up folders with photos that are stored in the main memeory and not on your SD card, how frustrating.
If that woprked properly on the X1, I would use nothing else to view photos.

s2v 0.42 works flawlessly here try reinstalling it, i can view any photo in any folder.
you do know that if you press the left arrow, then you get a list of folders, to gain access to subfolders you press the small right arrow next to what you want to look in.
when youve drilled down you press the folder name itself and it will open.
sorry if thats teaching suck eggs, but if that doesnt work id suggest speaking to a_c as s2v does work really well on the x1

Thanks fards It works if you install to memory card, then it picks up folders and subfolders with pics in, I am really pleased, thats my picture viewing well and truly sorted

I've got one of the first HD2s that were sold. These have the issue, that the touchscreen is way too sensitive, which makes typing a real pain.
Using Windows Mobile this was adressed with a registry tweak, that set the sensitivity value lower - which did pretty much the trick.
The Android SD-builds seemed to benefit from this setting, since I had no troubles typing with those.
Now with NAND however, this problem is back. I really have a hard time, since the touchscreen goes mad again. Is there any way to apply the WM reg-tweak to Android with an equivalent setting?

Nope, that I didn't experience (yet).
But there surely must be some parameter in the Android drivers, that controls the sensitivity and could be altered. I really hope one of the devs stumbeles over this thread.
It would be so much helpful (though I'm not complaining here. What they did to this point is outstanding already).

That's exactly my problem. I had the same issue with WM that got solved via reg tweak. Hope the same can be done in Android, because it's annoying.
Actually, in WM, I saw several times button pressed without touching the screen..

Try this:
Go to Settings -> Language & Keyboard -> Touch input -> Text Input -> Calibration Tool
Maybe this helps.

Thanks, but I don't have "Touch Input" as an option. I'm on Gingerbread, maybe that's why.
However, I guess this option only optimizes the way, the keyboard interprets taps. Adjusting the center of each key to the way you are used to type. Know what I mean? It doesn't sound like an option that could really rid of the problem at hand.
I'm not only having issues typing, but also tapping on links in the browser without zooming in and the like. It's everywhere, since everything is about touching, isn't it?

This problem plagued me in MAGLDR 1.2. Going to try 1.3 tonight and different builds to see if it's fixed. :/

Hyperdroid GBX v2.0 (the Feb 02, 2011 build)
Screen sensativity is okay with the "ghost hand" touch issue only during:
- When trying to select Ringtone
- When trying to type password in the browser for AppBrain authentication
I installed ADW.Launcher, and the touch screen stuff got a bit wonky in it too.

Tried Magldr 1.13 and Clockwork 1.3 updates.
Used HyperDroid and ghost touching was just as bad, though it took a while.
Tried Typhoon mod and it had same issues.
Using Stock Gingerbread and it's still giving some indications but not so bad.
It seems like the screen is just way too sensative. I'm out in the wind and the screen somehow picks up the wind hitting the screen as me touching it?

have the same problem... i thing its a hardware problem, i flashed to winmobile back an there is the same problem...

ähh. yes. its working since the first release day. but two days ago suddenly the live service is down for me.
i bought a lot of apps and now i want more but even the updates for the old once wont start. tried everything even a hard reset.
edit. and it totaly sucks.
