Landscape mode in Stock Samsung launcher... - Galaxy Note II General

Hey guys.
Short question: Is it possible to enable Landscape mode for the Stock Launcher on the Note II? Everything works in Landscape mode except the home screen... kind of annoying

Yes it is possible. But you need the app Ultimate Rotation Control, which can be found in Play Store. Currently it is not possible to make your wish come true with other mods. If you look around in Google you will find an old version of this app from a time when it was free. It has less features but does what it should.

There is a free alternative called Rotation Locker at the Play Store, developed by Madmack. Just tested and works fine.

Facebook 1.9

Anyone can install Facebook ver 1.9 on the galaxy note..
I got 'This version is not compatible with your device'

I'm guessing you're on a custom dpi. Change back to 320 and it should work.
It works without any problem...

I just installed the new version 1.9. No problems here.
Installed OK for me. I hate how it adds a "camera" app to the app drawer.
Can't uninstall it though as it doesn't show up in your list of apps...

That new camera thing allows us to kill WP7 in that competition they hold for anyone who saw that thread the other week.
And again this crap application is memory eater and leaker

New Launcher

Hey all, I was browsing on Facebook this morning on the bus and came across an advert for a new Home Launcher for Android. It's called Everything.me Home (Beta) in the Market.
It is actually pretty dam nice, very smooth, and very clever how they have done it. Everything is organised, you have a search bar on the top called, Whats on your mind? and it will find pretty much everything you want (app wise) I typed in Xbox, and it popped up with Xbox apps linked straight to the Market.
It's worth a try, and for a Beta it is definitely a good Launcher, I have had 1 crash so far when coming off the Market and that's it.
Link?

Launcher I have been using recently and it's so smooth and simple, SickSky launcher is brilliant!
Can't find it on play store....

hi all,
there is a bit of confusion here.
what we are talking about?
Everything.me Home (Beta)????? or SickSky ?????
first one is not in the playstore, second one is just a good start but too poor, there is nothing we can do more than the first screen with no options and no icons linked to the most used app like phone, contacts, ecc....
pls be clear when you post something
cheers
I had facebook home it's a dumb launcher

Any change to lockscreen widgets in TW 4.3?

Hey guys!
I'm on CM 10.2 at the moment and was considering comparing the latest TW firmware. My biggest issue with TW in the past has been the inability to have multiple lockscreen widgets (and primarily a camera shortcut) while using a pattern lock.
Just wanted to know if that had changed with the release of 4.3 or if it's still the same?
Did a quick search but couldn't find anything conclusive.
If you're device is rooted! The just instal exposed framework! And download the module! Here it is works perfect!

Cheers mate.
I take it it's not officially supported in this update either then?
No it's not officially supported. I am not rooted but have got the functionality through the excellent widgetlocker.

Even with widget locker you can't access the camera without having to unlock the pattern lock though can you? Won't it just pop up the lock after selecting the camera shortcut in WL?

You can access the camera without unlocking. Just swipe right.

as far as i know its all the same, i use widgetlocker but in the short while i used stock it seemed the same as in 4.2

It really does work! Sweet!
Thanks guys!
When I first tried it I made a shortcut to the camera app. That doesn't work, you have to either swipe to the side or use the built in widget locker functions for a camera shortcut.

Custom ROM 4.4 kit kat with pie controls?

Hello do somebody know that there is a way or a custom Rom which include PIE on Android 4.4

Use LMT I think

Way to early for roms with PIE, or many features. All are stock, or very close to stock. It will take some time for features to be merged.
Ok, so i have to wait

I'm also waiting for this, I hope this feature is merged on crdroid soon
Are the developers Form crdroid talking about that

Missing pie...
I was searching hi and low for an answer to this. Thanks for the insight. I definitely miss my pie controls on CM11. I imagine they will be integrated again sooner or later.
Gravity box offers pie controls.

Yes, this. However, the PIE controls collide with the new implementation of immersive mode's navbar. It does show that the existing code functions on KitKat though.
Edit: nevermind. It functions perfectly if you use gb's expanded desktop.
The pie control of GB doesn't work for me on 4.4.2, the pie is not shown at all.

You have to set it to work on expanded desktop mode and the hold the power button down and turn on expanded desktop mode.

Mee too I'm waiting for a KitKat ROM with PIE (used and abused on PA 3.99RC2).
I've tried LMT, but that's not the same.
Ah, FTW, after a week to get used, I'm really OK with the system-wide Immersive mode on SlimKat Beta
heres my combination to get Pie Controls
- Purity ROM (Set Nav Bar to 0 dpi)
- LMT
- Set pie to trigger on the bottom (you can also do left/right if you want)
carbon and slim can also disable the stock navbar.

[Q] How to make own navigation bar theme
