Surprise !! Nokia has another Windows 8 in the store for people who are looking forward to buy a Windows Phone 8.. Its Nokia 830.. Before you get too excited, the Lumia 830 will not be a beefier variant of the upcoming Lumia 820, but rather a successor to the Lumia 710.

I guess it will equip with a 720P screen while other remains the same as 820, maybe 16GB with MicroSD slot.
Too many handsets. Who needs low, low-mid, mid, mid-high and high handsets? it's as bad as HP and their 200 laser printer models.
We need something lower than the 820 but better than 8S...somewhere in the middle.
Right now you either go high end (820, 920, 8x) or low end (8s).
We don't need something lower than the 820 - we need something smaller than the 820. At the moment Nokia is off my list because everything is too big. I want a flagship phone with a 4" screen. Is that too much to ask?
No problems with the big screen for me, just the 920 is pretty bulky in general, other than that I'm fine. The only problem is that all three 8X, 820 and 920 are too expensive for me. Only the 8S i could afford, but I'm scared because it seems a bit low spec-wise..
Please make WP8 grow and give us cheaper phones =)
but even with 512 mb ram, the phone won't lag at all.. but yeah, front camera is missing.. that's a disappointment, but again , its.upon user , some ppl need it some don't.

I cant find anything about the CPU or the Radio version - I wonder if it's the same internally
the camera is only 1.3Meg - but it has dual sim, TV, and more features
what do you guys think?
It's definitely not a Kaiser, not even a Hermes...
A cheap copy at best
According to Dealextreme.com:
"- OS Note: while the interface may resemble Windows Mobile,it appears to be a proprietory OS and not Windows Mobile."
"- MicroSD/TF memory card slot supports maximum 1GB memory"
On the other hand it does seem to have a dual sim an tv tuner (ntsc) both not available on the real thing + it's half the price of a Hermes....
I say: if you can afford it, go for the original HTC (either Hermes or Kaiser)
It also only supports gsm, NOT 3G. I do believe it was tri-band though... Its all over ebay, just do a search for mobile phone with tv...
Have a workmate who got one off ebay for $0.99 with $40 delivery to australia. NOT Windows os and pretty basic. Can be a proper mongrel to find what you want and still hasn't figured out how to turn the ringtone down to fog horn yet either (supposed to be set on lowest setting before off, YIPES!!!)
Cheers...
never trust anything that is a cheap knockoff with wang cryptically hidden in the name... even if it starts with A
At least I can not find a SGS-alike here....

they are indeed fakes, but many of them have very nice features that Real brand names one doesn't offer
at Deal Xtreme you can also find a lot of those
the Android ones are specially good, as you can pretty much do anything you want with it and make you own ROMs
some other with locked in weird concoction of chinese OS might not be the greatest, but offer full features, and more than regular phones doesn't have
many which caught my eyes were among:
projector
tv
solar powered
crank powered
2 SIM
CDMA + GSM
waterproof
etc...
unfortunately all of them came with crappy OSes
however i really like the projector one, it's soooo cool
thank God , there is no
"HiPhone GaGaXy" or "HiPhone Galaxx" or anything else.
If they put in better displays they could be onto something lol
Read some of the questions. The answers are great.
Q. What resolution camera does it have?
A. It has a 0.3 mega pixel cam which gives ery clear pictures for you.
They can copy everything, it is so amusing and crazy. Such a crazy country.
Here are some pictures of the factory where these may have been made from....

They definitely need an awesome screen in the next one. Something using Samsung's new PenTile technology would be great, 1080p would be sweet.
And also some native hdmi output would be great so that we don't need a dock but then again streaming is getting pretty easy, it's awesome streaming content from my Streak to my friend's Apple TV and in ways that he can't on his iPhone ha! But we would definitely need 802.11n for the Opus. Please Dell don't wait too long so that it gets lost amongst the crowd of high-res, dual-core, next gen phones! Before the end of the year for sure!
I just keep reading something about it being out by may...
I think I'll get the streak and the HTC holiday or Samsung galaxy 2 but I want 4.5+ screens.
I'm just scared the streak may get slow, becasue of the 512mb RAM... I will be overclocking it to 1.2 and getting a 2500mah battery.
Ill prolly switch back to the streak once opus is released. I am such a shameless tech junkie!!

I heard the streak name would still be used for the next release and not be called opus

The 5.5-inch, full-HD display, which has a resolution of 1,920x1,080 pixels, is bright and vibrant and is usable even under bright sunlight at noon. Weighing in at 160g, the handset felt light despite its size.
The OnePlus One comes with Google Play, and you'll find all the Google apps pre-installed, including Gmail and Maps.
The OnePlus One has a soft-touch plastic rear, and it feels great. The curved edges mean nothing sharp digs into your palm when you're holding it, and the phone feels balanced and not the least bit unwieldy.
The One support multi-languages. include français, Türkçe etc.,
The Oneplus one is supposed to launch in the following 16 countries. Availability is still restricted to those with invites for the moment. This means it's pretty hard to get your hands on one for now.

Wow ,godness! Its a good choice if you don't have one plus 3:good:
Now the question is...gunmetal or soft gold!
No rear camera upgrade means I'm sticking with the pixel xl for now. Nice device though!
I wonder how much source code it shares with the OnePlus 3, and if we can quickly port over their roms

I'd say all of it? it has a new color, (gunmetal grey) a 16mp front facing camera 3400 mah battery and up to 128 gigs of storage. Obviously the SD 821. So no porting needed. It will get updates the same time the 3 does.
They said on the launch that the software updates would be the same for both the 3 and the 3t
Full price details:
For £40 extra I might as well go for the 128gb. Nice to see they are not charging through the nose for the extra memory!
For fellow Canadians it's $599 for the 64GB version, and i'm estimating around $640-660 for the 128GB.
