Does anyone had ever seen an nice ICS theme for oxygen 2.3.2? If u seen please send me a link for it
Just use MildWild based on Oxygen?
Or Go Launcher Ex + https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gau.go.launcherex.theme.ommd&hl=en
Try Nick's Phone or OxyZM
Both are slightly over 100mb on the system partition but with a little editing you can fit them onto the Oxygen r2 hboot. Just delete all the google apps (Gmail, maps, etc) before flashing then install from google play.

Hello people.
I have a question.
Currently, there are only 3 custom ROMs with Sense UI:
MoDaCo
fyodor v0.5.3.1
5faif
For MoDaCo to get properly working Market Patch, you have to pay 20$ USD for a subscription. Tried many ways but he didn't want to install Market Patch.
Fyodor's version with Sense UI is REALLLLY outdated and newest versions doesn't support Sense UI.
And finally, 5faif ROM is also REALLY, REALLY outdated, also it has for me unwanted swap enabled (don't want to ruin my SD/NAND)
So, I have a question.
For all the other ROMs, there is no Sense UI. So, what are you using as Home alternative? ADW Launcher didn't work for me (Force Closes). Also, what widgets?
ADW works fine here on fyodor rom 0.6.3.1. It's the best home replacement I saw so far.
Maybe you are trying a wrong version (versions >=0.7 are for android 2.x).
Or maybe you are installing it wrong (you have to flash it as update.zip through recovery).
Also, after upgrade from 0.6.3 to 0.6.3.1 i had to reflash ADWlauncher because it was keeping forceclosing
There is a new version of market for donut that works fine. I just installed this version on new 0.6.3 version and I haven't any problem so far.
And there are a lot of other home replacements that work on tattoo(home++, GDE, sweeter home, zeam, ahome...)
GDE is the best of the bunch for me, tried all of the others, and too laggy/slow. GDE is super quick, has best visuals, and some really good features like an application dock.
i installed awd but i have a problem with a g-sensor...it gived me an error everytime I rotated it...i was forced to disable the screen rotation from settings any solution?
CthulhuROM 1.6 is also with Sense UI....
I recommend "Helix Launcher"
I use Zeam, best home ever with Android 1.6 (Android 2.x => LauncherPro)

Is there a Hong Kong version please?
no hong kong version - will be based on either EMEA or NA roms in this version...
Loved the rom, works great with my liquid e. It is really fast and responsive. Loved the fact that it wasn't loaded with bloatwear, and the inclusion of fancy widget is a great touch. I missed the HTC keyboard from LCR but I just trew it back on there. My only worry is how hot it gets while charging with the OC, so I've been using set cpu to turn down clocks during that time.
Thanks so much for the great rom (my favorite so far on this phone). It's great to see such a talented Canadian DEV.
yes the heat bothers me too - using setcpu I lower clock while charging to 576 and also if >44.5 C I set throttle on cpu to 245 min.max - this prevents most overheating IMO and I use a bumber case which makes it much hotter with no airflow
I would not call myself a DEV though as Im just #team7zip lol
I push files and sign them toghether! glad u like it though
maybe someday I will be a dev not today though

Market?
This rom works fine on my Liquid (ie. not a liquid E), also I have it overclocked and haven't noticed a heat issue - I am using the black silicone case from France (http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370383448432&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT )
I have a question though about the Market. I am able to access some paid apps but not all of them (in particular the HappyCow app and Contacts Merger). I used the market-hack in Malez recovery, still no dice. I am able to download them using your 2.1 roms on my Magic. And, strangest of all - I am able to download them on the LCR 1.7 Rom!
Wanted to make sure you were aware of this limitation. If there's a way around this, I'd love to know. Right now to update I am re-flashing an old nandroid backup of LCR then downloading the apps and backing them up from the old rom.

Hello pepole..
My classmate have tryed to upgrade his huawei u8800 to gingerbread on his own..
but he forgot to charge the battery (so he sayes) so it ran out.. while updating.
i still kan update from sd card clear chash and clear rom ?? and restart the phone.
is there any file i can put on this Sd card an upgrate it from there? i tryed to search here but so many solutions i want to be sure before i do sometinh rash.
If you can boot into recovery, just wipe and reflash the rom
yes i guessed so. but now i got lot of files here.. and i dont know whit one to use?
There are 3 custom roms available here for X5(not pro): Miui, Oxygen and CM7.
All are gingerbread, which is the latest available android version.
Miui is more eye candy(looks like iphone), but costs faster memory drain.
Oxygen and CM7 seems to be in the same level(maybe Oxygen is a bit more stable).
Oxygen is more "bulk", CM7 have some useful settings additions which aren't in stock roms(or oxygen some of them).
Also there is franco' s kernel which is indepentent of what rom of above you'll use(you need to flash in after the first rom' s boot), and have a lot o improvements for speed and battery saving.
So, it' s a matter of what you want. All roms are in a good level. There are more infos at the original post(1st post) of every rom.
oki then i need to find them. they are in here? in some post? i will need som help with this.
You said you searched. The roms threads are all in 1st page of Ideos developing section:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1068766
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1149150
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1152240
and franko' s kernel:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1166560
Never start with miui.First give a chance for oxygen or cm7.Because after miui, the others look like so simple. You will not want to use these after miui.
Hi
im new to android ..
i own a ideos u8150.........and i have rooted it with z4 root
I also have managed to install clock world mod 3.0.2.4 i flashed it through pc (works perfectly)
now i want to change my stock rom ..i' heard ideos HD and droniX are good roms
i'd like to install droniX 0.6 raw ginger ..
but can anyone help me in flashing the rom i need a guide..
also how can i make full backups so i can revert to my stock rom anytime i want..
Does switching to custom roms affect baseband of my mobile ..
because of a picture i saw in a blog that says "baseband version :unknown" in mobile settings .
i have been a apple user and to jailbreak you need to preserve your basebands so is there anything like that in android
i have also read that after flashing dorinX .6 many see a black screen ..how can i prevent that..
i've also installed rom mangaer free version from market but its useless because everytime press any option it tells me to install colckworld mod and when i press install a list of phones comes up but u8150 is not in the list only 7 options.......
Thankyou
You won't get much love here as this is in the wrong forum, but here is a link to my rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1375289
You dont need to use my rom, it just has flashing instructions in the first post.
*Good luck with ginger, it is still not stable, so maybe stick with 0.5.4.
*Baseband is not changed by flashing roms in CWM, only by official huawei update software, find a copy of yours before flashing if you can.
*CWM has the option to make a NAND backup under backup and restore.
*Dronix is good, Leandroidmod is ok, Ideos HD seems to be deprecated as I had bugs which I reported and have not been fixed so I switched roms. Has not had an update in months.
Here is the wiki page for u8150, have fun:

Hi all
So I have an interesting aesthetics / theme question. Here's the background: I have a S5 Dev Edition phone with TWRP. My first custom ROM was Team UBs 24jun version. I really liked the look of it (especially the small fonts and icons) but thought it was a bit unstable so I then installed the unofficial CM 10jun version. That worked well but some apps said they weren't compatible with it. So today I experimented with the new UB 13jul ROM. Unfortunately that wasn't too stable so I went back to the CM one. However after I reinstalled CM it looked quite different, with much larger icons and fonts.
Now in hindsight it looks like I didn't do a complete wipe in between UB and CM the first time around so CM must have picked up the system settings including fonts and icons that UB had installed. This time around after a full wipe CM installed its own defaults, which are much bigger. [I have CM on my Nexus 5 and it looks a lot more like that]. The apps that didn't work by the way do work now.
So my question to you all is do you know what UB's settings are for fonts and icons? I would like to replicate them under CM. Is there a theme setting that contains all of UB's presets?
I should also mention I have the full version of Nova launcher which I installed on CM, and UB had it as well. If it can be changed in Nova setting somewhere please let me now.
thx
PS - I tried to post this in the dev section under UB but it didn't let me, so posted it here.

Well, the easiest thing you could do is under nova launcher settings, go to look and feel, you can change the font and icon size there. I believe it only applies to launcher settings, so it won't change any of the system fonts or sizes. For those you just go to settings, display and there's a font section there... as far as I know themed roms occasionally change the DPI of the entire system, to give everything a cohesive feeling, but there are also a lot of things that need to also be modified when you change the DPI, so exactly copying the look of a particular ROM is not quite as simple as it sounds.
Hope this helps.
DPI question solved
Hi
So I figured out the best way to set the DPI is to download texdroider from the play store. It handles it across the board for the device and everything looks great. I set my DPI to 370 btw.
Thx
