I'm praying for someone who can solve my problem.
I LOVE my n1 but I dont hear it when Im outside home.
I surfed tens of forums searching for the solution and there is no dsp manager or lvh that has been able to solve the problem.
can someone help please?
p.s. i heard that maybe cyanogenmodded rom on gingerbr could solve the problem but i heard also that it uses dsp manager which wasnt working on my n1
Are you using a custom rom?
Most custom roms have an audio boost over stock. And maybe that DSP Manager would only work if the ROM supported it, so that could be why nothing has worked sof ar if you are on stock.
I think you're looking for the vibrate option
the audio boost is present in most custom ROMs such as cyanogen. so you really should have no problem if you use that. i know my volume has increased very well using cyanogen so i dont have any complaints anymore.
i do remember in cyan 5.0.8 that the audio hack was TOO loud and people complained, so the dev's reduced it to somewhere in the middle. perhaps you can go try that old ROM and see if that helps just as a test. if so maybe you could edit your kernel to match that old hack? might be a lot of work though...
i'm using one of the gingerbr roms from this forum
so you'r suggesting me to wait for the cyano's gingerbr?
p.s. today i bought an ideos for my old father ((( its LOUDER AND LOUDER than my n1 (((((
Unfortunately, you will have to live with crappy HTC speakers I am afraid. Rom's don't have a significant difference - I mean it will still sound crap :/, I don't know why HTC keep doing this.

dont say me so! please! i heard about people who solved and had to REDUCE volumes beacause the loudnes made the speaker clip instead!
i wanna clip my speakeeerrrrr!
Try enomthers Official ROM with the AudioMod kernel. I now run my incall volume at 50% where on the stock ROM I had it maxed all the time. The speaker phone is actually useful now as well. Besides this excellent perk its also a very fast and stable ROM with lots of features that I've found I can't do without. I ran a Gingerbread ROM for a week and was so happy when I switched back.

do you know if it's possible to flash only the audio hack? i'm just running stock cyanogen 6.1.1 and i would like to play around with the audio hack. can i flash it somehow, or does it have to be built into the ROM? and also, i have a build environment set up, so could i just play around with the kernel code for the hack, and compile my own kernel for testing it out?
Can anyone suggest any 'good' solution? kernel or otherwise to fix this $#@$# 'bug' of low in-call volume in Nexus One??
Would really appreciate all the help!

That's my problem from the beginning. Speaker is crap and there is nothing you can do. Tried different ROMs and nothing changed it.
Hello guys. I wanted to find out how to increase my skill lvl. Like I have quests tht require me to extract items like fruits, objects but when I try to extract, it says my skill lvl is too low. What can I do to increase? Plz help.
Genokolar had released moments ago a new .35 based kernel for MIUI/CM7 which fixes the scratchy sound when listening to music.
I've been testing it:
- Incall sound is brilliant
- Speaker sound is brilliant
- Music sound trough speaker is brilliant!
Official thread: http://bbs.anzhi.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=4942811
Mirrors:
CM7 - http://www.mediafire.com/?wsaq9u7ai56lmvl
MIUI - http://www.mediafire.com/?yhqg1h2r22wk44l
Remember: it's only for .35 based MIUI/CM7!
Use it at your own risk!
Instructions:
1 - Flash it on recovery (i'm using 5.5.0.4)
2 - Profit!
Credits to genokolar.
Oh boy oh boy oh boy! Will this only work for U8800 or U8800 Pro owners can use this kernel too?

By the way, how do you know if you have an atmel screen? I had the .35 kernel for a few days but I don't think I had any trouble with the touch screen...I was using Aurora ICS by dzo but the .35's horrible sound quality made me switch back to .32 kernel...
How would you guys describe the sound quality (with geno's kernel) as compared to Elite 9.7 or MIUI (.32)? Because the sound quality with Elite 9.7 is absolutely amazing!...

Every .32 ROMs have astounding sound quality and very high volume in every situation... elite, MIUI, cm7, etc have very little difference, if any, between them...

Thanks, I see...but I was asking if is there a big difference between the sound quality on this modified .35 kernel and the .32 kernel? I understand that .32 quality is better but if the sound quality on this kernel isn't all that much worse I might go back to Aurora...

Sorry my bad writing ...
I do not remember where, but there is an app that could see the type of screen you have the phone ... research that will certainly find.
As for the sound quality with .32 kernel I believe it is better, but the .35 kernel will be the future and will certainly correct to point to match the sound quality of the .32 kernel
Anyway, install a MUI with this .35 kernel and do the comparison yourself sound ...
Granted this kernel has nothing to do with the ROM ICS.

I don't think it's much the quality of the sound itself, because I find it the same between .32 and .35 ROMs, it's more about the volume... in 32 kernel, it's so loud I have to reduce volume on some songs, while in 35, volume is always very low, even on maximum, when using headphones while playing music...

I think so.
It may be that it is better with the .35 kernel development
Aloud is already better, no longer makes strange noises, lol
Phones in use depends on ... I use before I slept lying down, and there is not need much volume, which is enough ... for me, of course. : D

Hello all!
I registered here last winter, at first installing a custom ROM, then the initial 2.3.5 official release - but in the end to be safe rather than sorry, I put in the official 2.2 and been using that for 3 months. Lately though, the 2.2 has proven to be hard to use, especially when typing and correcting stuff. I would be now willing to jump into the waters.
Last time I checked, there wa some reported stuff in official 2.3.5 about dropping calls - then there being a fix for it, and then report about the fix doing nothing.
To me I need my phone to function as a phone, at all times, the interface can be nice but it cannot sacrifice any phone related functionality.
All i simply ask in current situation: How is the official 2.3.5? How is .35 kernel based ROMs? Would you people recommend upgrading to official 2.3.5?
I'd also be interested in the custom roms, though as said, bugs, even minor ones I try to avoid.
Thanks! You people are awesome!
The official 2.3.5 sounds good for your use
Battery lasts long everything works I guess
But try aurora 2.02)
Definately upgrade

He's asking for stability and you suggest Aurora? Dzo is actively working on it, yes it's mostly stable, but for someone who seems to want to install a ROM and forget about it, not worrying to need to updating it constantly and encounter the occasional bug, I would discourage Aurora.
I recommend you Ezet CM7 .32 ROM, it's the most stable you will find at the moment. Everything works by default, even wifi tether. It's FAST! It's smooth, astounding sound volume in calls and multimedia overall, it's CM7.2, which has ics animations, including rotation, and that's beautiful, it has t9 dialer... better still, it has x5 settings app, in which you can tweak all sorts of stuff that it's simply not possible in .35 ROMs...
But best of all, it's 32 kernel, so on worries about the horrible job Huawei did with the .35 kernel, no missed calls, no problems with amtel screens, no low volume, etc...

Oh really? Sounds fantastic... I think that I could give the best try for - and thanks for fantastic recommendation. Sounds like perfect upgrade for me.
Darn. I got the rom installed and it is working quite well - but wifi is not connecting... I will wait and see does it rectify on the AP overnight - Can´t even test with other AP's even now - but this aside wifi problems in general has always plagued my huawei. And 3G is not free nor unlimited for me, and I am mostly home so WLAN rocks

Yeah... Well Text editing in 2.2 sucks without the arrow tool and all. 2.3.x is enough for that all at least.
Too bad Wifi also halted to function afterwards, I hope it is just devide name mismatch in AP and works fine after 24 hours.
.32 MIUI or CM is what you should use. They are very stable and fast.

Seems like it TTGWarheat, the Ezet 7.2 seemed like a great thing, but I still need to tinker around reinstalling some base system software I think, some kind of error is making my phone result in non-functional wifi and I want to know what it is. I may need to find some older possible 2.2 based stock rom dload, install that first, and then get into monkey business installing Ezet again...

Hi guys!
I would like to ask if there are any audio and visual improvement mods for defy working on CM7?
I'm mainly interested in things like beats audio , xloud, voodo sound and others similar. And if there are are any for visuality like bravia engine.
By the way i want to ask if there is an option of deleting adw launcher somehow, to let the phone work on motoblur theme (or maybe some adw theme at least?)And is there and option of having defy + kernel on defy with green lens and have camera (not HD) working??
hope you help me
UP!
You can use beats audio or Xloud!

OK. I found the Beats audio. It rules!. Now what about other mods? Xloud, bravia, voodo sound? Others? And is there an option of having faster defy + kernel and camera working on green lens???
anybody?
Hey guys! I ask is there an option of applying gb kernel onto defy with green lens? would it make it faster? and what about other mods for audiovisual improvements?

On Green lens Camera will not work. However, overall performance and battery will improve.
Can anyone let me know the best and stable Custom rom for my MOTOROLA DEFY with green lens? I have used several roms but had issues with mobile data, camera (worst quality), processing speed (disgusting) and UI response (phone gets stuck). Kindly suggest me the best rom to overcome these problems. Thanks in advance.
In my opinion, the most stable is CyanogenMod7.

Although my Defy is the Red Lens, I used CM7 for one year with no problems at all.
Now I'm using 11/05 CM10 Quarkx ROM and it's working great. No problems with mobile data, camera, processing and UI response until now.
Wiui and mokee newbeginning are the most stable, fast and battery keeper roms.
