Best ICS rom avail right now

I am interested in running ics on my int. Note. What is the most stable ics rom out there?
My note is stock + rooted

How would we know, the new leak was just released 4/1/12. Try it out and find out for yourself. They all have bugs, nothing most xda-ers would consider deal breaker.

Imilka's AOSP for my money. Slim, fast and reliable.

Stunner. Period.

youtube and fb apps work just fine for me. Do you have any particular site that doesn't work? Please post so that I can check and confirm.

Definitely Imilka's AOSP. Clean, fast, stable. And what's more important - it's pure ASOP, no touchwiz, no unnecessary tweaks, just Android as it was intended.

Stunner, stunner period!!!

It depends. Would you like a complete stock Android experience, or would you like Samsungs S-Pen apps and features?
For the first one Imilka's is great. ICS Stunner, stock android, with lots of tweaks and options, is also a good choice.
If you would like the second, Midnote 3.0 is pretty good.
I'd recommend trying at least those three roms out.
It is difficult for people to recommend roms because of each user specific needs and requirements.
You will have to test them out yourself.
I'm on Midnote 3.0 at the moment and it's pretty good for normal use in my opinion.

Midnote because it's the only one that's given me fully functional Flash.

I'm having trouble with flash on stunner I really hope they fix it soon... problem is no one on the thread seems to care...

given that you currently use the stock ROM, then i suggest the answer is likely "none" and you wait for Samsung to release ICS for the note...

The weird thing is that Youtube works but nothing else does. Stunner has the best look and feel but having Netflix is too important.

I used most of ICS builds, but the best at moment is ICS Stunner 4.3. Fast and stable.

I installed every new ROM, realy Stunner is best one

to me....pure ASOP= pure boring.

I tried ICS for the past couple of days, was using Stunner and Imilka's. I used Midnote 3.0 for 5minutes, realised my modem was not working and switched roms (lazy to fix hehe .. All ROMs were speedy, especially setting the UI options to 0.5x performance (not sure what is the exact name of the settings, all i know is that its in developer settings). I can't comment much about the 0.2GHz increase, but it didn't really bother me when i was on LP1.
Between Imilka (was using v7), Midnote 3.0 and Stunner (4.3, latest LP5), Stunner suited me the most because there were less bugs, the ability to change from phone to tablet with more convenience. Mainly Stability/functionality/convenience (eg toggles) issues. Battery life on ICS was not bad, draining 1% for every 1.5 hrs of deep sleep in 2G+Data. However running apps caused my note to be warmer and drain was higher compared to GB.
However Rocketrom v23 + Franco Test kernel still pulled me back to GB today with S-pen full functionality + stock photo editor/ on the fly editing for screenshot. Stability and awesome battery life contributed much as well.

After trying all the major ICS roms... I have to agree to this as well. Neo does excellent job.

Most stable Desire Z ROM?

Currently Im on Cyanogenmod 7.2.0 RC1 nightly 414 and while OK, the other day it had a HORRIBLE (unbearable) slowdown period. Even multiple restarts didnt help. Finally it seems it fixed itself but Ive looking for something new. I use Go Launcher if that makes any difference. Im into speed but I think Im going to go with stable over speed this time.
What ROM do you recommend? Also nothing broken (automatically discards all CM9 ROMs)

If you are into Sense UI, go for Virtuous ROM, stock ROM tweaked + enhancements. If CM7 works if you are into vanilla ROMs.

I have been using virtuous glite 2.0.1 its stable I had no issues at all and I get great battery life, plus its slightly overclocked. Gslim1.6 is also very good but I had better battery life with glite. Both roms are based on GB 2.3.4. Here is a good rom index thread it lists all G2-Desire Z roms

(Im not talking to any of you or anyone else Dont take this the wrong way at all as it is not a insult to any of you). Its funny: People ***** (a lot) when their ROMs go bad but when they are great, they dont say anything at all.

WOW G-lite is VERY old...

and i like ROMs with features; stripped down versions are not for me

sound like you will be most happy with elitemod, the cm7 based rom although i have been testing out nik3r's ics rom and like it better than most ics roms, i would go with his gingerbread rom. should be all you are looking for and great support from nik3r as well

Damn I'm still happily running it! If it works great why worry how old it is. It's a testament to how well it works as it sits. anyways I'm waiting for a stable cyanogen 9. Then maybe, frankly I don't want to mess with it too much I want plain Android and I can customize it from there

I don't think you have tried much of the Sense ROMs back then, or maybe you were doing something wrong. I have had quite a few stable and fast sense ROMs. Of course they were not as fast as vanilla ones, but it works, knowing that you are the type who wants more features in ROMs.

Have you tried a CM9 Rom lately? Don't let the Beta name scare you, I have found the latest andromadus audacity extremely reliable, and everything works. I actually think it has less bugs then my stock htc GB rom.

Same, though I'm still tweaking my SetCPU settings and such, I like EliteMod's ICS rom the most right now particularly in terms of features and responsiveness. I was trying the unofficial CM9beta13 for a couple days and that thing was eating battery like no-body's business. EliteMod seems to be much more tweaked as it's the same setup Nik3r is using for his own personal Desire-Z.
But far as stability goes, I would agree that going with a Ginger rom would be the best bet, ICS right now is still too experimental in my opinion.
I've never tried the CM7 version of EliteMod, only the official CM 7.2.0 which was ok-ish for me. The EliteMod ICS Rom to me feels much faster and responsive than even the stock CM7rom, and I much prefer QuickPix app the EliteMod uses over that slow-arse Gallery app in CM7.

I would recommend andromadus mimicry (ics) its pretty stable and everything works (for me at least). It has the ics specific flaws like scrambled text in app drawer but launcher restart fixes it. Using this rom for 2 weeks and had this text issue 1 time. Battery is good also

You should try Elitemod cm7 it has never failed me, all the features you need, speed and stabiity plus amaizing battery life. If you wanna go ICS get the cm9 elitemod, but it is still a bit buggy.

I tried a lot of roms, and I always came back to ILWT CM7 (not new versions). Sense roms are quite good but not on Desire Z (too small amount of ram memory, multitasking on sense roms are poor - even on sense 2.1 roms with supercharger script). I waiting for stable CM9 (and yes i tried all versions of CM9 but text glitches and manually change apn to send/receives mms, makes me nervous).
That is only my subjective opinion

Anything CM7 based is very stable. Probably the most stable of all. Stay away from CM9 or anything ICS on this phone for another few months in terms of stability.

I can only vouch for my own experiences but I find cm9 very stable, perfect for a daily.

Going to install the Beta14 right now, the ALPHA 1 month ago had a lot of issues... but that was 1 month ago. Will post back...

Try Quadrasense! Not true that rom based on CM9 is not stable....

For most stable overall rom I would recommend the latest ILWT CM7. For most stable ICS rom I would recommend the Andromadus Mimicry rom.

To those of you using JB on the MT4G: how is it? Stable? Good enough to be a daily driver? Everything important working for you?
I'd love to flash JB on my MT4G but I'm not sure if it's stable enough yet and the ROM threads are long and winding enough that I have trouble following them. I have a phone with the dodgy eMMC chip so I'd rather not spend all day flashing ROMs to try them out myself and possibly killing my phone in the process. I'd love to find a JB ROM that has all major features working and is close to stock JB (I don't like too much bling in my ROMs).

I'm using 0.0's Jellybean port based off the Desire S and it's been going good for the past few hours. Everything works for me, well except that front facing camera. That doesn't work on Jellybean yet. Dropping down the MPs in the camera removes the green line. I also do have the bad eMMC chip but I've been flashing almost every week to see which one is the best for me. I love ICS, especially Synthetic.Nightmare's ROM but Jellybean is getting better so I might try that for a week see how it goes.

JB is great if you don't really need video recording and FFC.
It's stable enough for a DD.
I was using CNA for awhile and then I used Awesome's Toasted Marshmallow since release.

Rocking 0.0's desire S port since he posted it... Loving it so much that I haven't even bothered flashing anything else.
Rock solid on my device. Just need ffc really... But we all know about that.

There are other viable options than 0.0's ROM like Awesome's Toasted Marshmallow, which many people run and have success as their daily driver. It's really your choice!

I've tried many of them, but I personally like Toasted Marshmallow from ...Awesome... It is a very stable ROM. A couple of items that don't work are Front Facing Camera (FFC) and Wifi Calling, but those are not an issue with the ROM, they are more akin to not having an official JB kernel for the MT4G. I'm anxious for Wifi Calling to get released on another JB ROM so we can port it. Good luck with whichever ROM you decide on.

Most peeps claim jb is faster than ICS as it should be being a update but for me ICS has been faster .

JB's UI is faster, ICS's games, apps, and everything else are faster and more stable (we have had a lot more time to perfect it)

Thank you. So I guess once 3.0 is out, JB would be better than ICS? I didn't experience any UI lag on my ICS. So I guess I will stay on ICS for now.

No. Once 3.0 is fixed to work as well on our devices and all the jb optimizations are added in, THEN jb will surely be better than ics. As is, comparing the UI of jb to ics (aospx) I noticed no difference in UI. Though some people swear its buttery smooth and soo much better... even though its running a 2.6 kernel optimized for ics (not jb)... the only thing I've found to be smoother in jb is the browser.

So... Is there a single completely usable ROM out there?

I've flashed almost 10 different ROMS now ever since the Asus ICS update and I'm still getting issues with SOD, RR, rapid battery drain, and/or wifi crashing after deep sleep. I just want my TF101 back. I don't care about Google Now... I just want a usable tablet!!!

You are flashing roms to rid yerself of an issue caused by a kernel?......If the rom You flash doesnt have a custom kernel you won't be solving any kernel issues....
In Short, flash a different kernel.....

Stock has been great for the 3 transformers in our family..
Go back to GB and spend a week on it and see if it does the same.. If so. Then you really have problems

Easily the best experience I have had with my TF since I got it
No RR's no SoD, everything works 100% and super fast, highly recommend trying it out if you haven't already

those trouble had been solve with a lot thread in this box...
SOD and RR only got in HC when update to ICS its been solve, no more.
Rapid battery gain when you turn on wifi and watch video with high bright
wifi crash will be off after deep sleep only got in some ROM not alot, and they had been solve them. If you used any rom u must follow other posts.
I didnt got any issue like that becos i update kernel usually and I follow someone instruction.
recently I used EnergyROM and its make me happiest so maybe no more change ROM... I used 20 or over and I did got those issues like u when i keep update ROM and Kernal...
PS used ES Task Manager when u done any work and click on its widget to clear memory its make RR rate lower

To me cm9 works best... I wanna upgrade to jb but all have problems... cm9 is close to jb.. since some jb features are ported to ics...

Android Revolution HD 3.4.2 is the most stable rom for me. Don't know if you can still get such an old version, though.

I have tried EOS and 3 variations of CM10 (Raymans unofficial stable, Paranoid, LiquidSmooth). I like them all but EOS + KAT 47B gives me no issues to complain about (right now on 79 anyway). The others - last time I tried them - seem to have poorer wifi reception (and I don't mean just a matter of "bars"), occasionally lose wifi after re-awakening, and sketchy-to-non-existent GPS.
Truthfully, the EOS build works well enough for me that I could really care less if ASUS does an official JB upgrade at this point. Smooth, as robust as stock ICS when I left, stock browser working fantastic. I am on build 79 right now, probably upgrade to newer version if/when 4.2 features added.
I was set on getting myself a new tablet for Christmas, but after flashing EOS JB I have no more desire to upgrade to a newer tablet. It does everything I want it to, significantly better than when I bought it.

holy ****, that did it! EOS and KAT are rock solid!

there are many roms with cool features and stuff but in terms of stability i find stock asus rom the most stable.

If you want the tablet to just work, stick with stock based ICS ROM. That means.... the Energy ROM, ARHD or Revolver.

Im using Android Revolution HD 3.5.1. It has GPS problems, but everything else works well. I'd use a 4.1/2 rom but no flash.

Flash does work on jb roms.

I have tried all these ROMs and kernels and every time i pick up my tf101 it's dead. SOD constantly. I have to turn it off now everytime i finish using it so that i can use it the next time i come it. Very annoying.
Is there anything else that could be the problem other than kernel/rom (i have tried TeamEOS and KAT and CM10 with latest kat kernel with lidfix).

I've tried CM10 unofficial stable too and I really like it. Fast, stable, reliable.

My Asus Transformer seems very slow. It lags up all the time, I often lose responsiveness to programs, ect. Right now, I basically just use the tablet+keyboard to type notes during class, but I'd prefer it if it was a little faster.
Anyone know of a good, stable, relatively bug free ROM that would boost performance?

Android 4.0, I recommend Megatron. I ran that until 4.1 came out.
Android 4.1, I recommend TeamEOS 3 build 81 or MattmanWRX CM10 Paranoid Android hybrid.
Android 4.2, I recommend TeamEOS 4 build 91

I really like cm 10 gierdo's nightly (JB 4.1) with the kat kernel. There's a link around here somewhere for a great, easily flashable, TWRP tablet recovery.
The EOS 4.2 works great, but the tablet UI in 4.1 is so much better. I think google has unofficially "fragmented" these last two jelly bean releases, 4.1 is amazing on tablet, 4.2 is amazing on phone.

I'd personally been using CM10 4.1 Gierdo's nightlies over a month and it's pretty stable for daily use. But I'd since move on to Team EOS JB 4.2 with Timburu latest B136 released and it's even smoother and faster. Very stable and reliable too. 4.2 is definitely way better than 4.1 on my TF101.. You'll see the different..

EOS 4 with Kat kernel. Stable builds with all the updates come out about every 4 or 5 days. Preview releases come out almost daily.
It's the only JB 4.2.1 ROM/Kernel combo I've tried that is almost 100% perfect.

With all the awesome development of ROMs that is going on in here, i still recommend Revolver or ARHD.
I;ve tried all of the JB ROMs, and still the "stock-like" ICS ROMs are the most stable and imo have the best battery life.

CM10 sirkorro's build
I have tried quite a number of ROMS, most recently using EOS4 trying many updates. I always had different issues, most recently laging badly. Finally gave up and moved to korro's build of CM10. I really like it. Also using the recommended KAT.
My TF101 has never been happier.
Smooth, fast and just works. So far (4days now).

If you stick to the "nightly" builds of EOS4 (which actually get released about once a week now) instead of the previews, and use a proven version of the KAT Kernel (85 had issues including lag, but is fixed in 92), EOS4 runs perfectly. Even most of the previews are great, but they come untested and can have issues.

I only started messing with my tf101 recently, and the first rom I used was RaymanFX's cm10, which was great and stable. Later switched to EOS4 latest preview, just for the fun of flashing, and it turned out to be stable, too. Never had any serious issue.

IMO, the latest EOS4 build with the latest KAT kernel is better than anything ASUS ever released, and I had no issues with most of the ASUS stock releases.

I also flashed EOS4 a week ago but I had some issues.
1. Lag when opening recent apps
2. Very big lag when outputting to a TV screen using HDMI
3. Overclocked at 1,6 Ghz I obtained only 2300 benchmark points using Quadrant and 6300 using Antutu
Do you have the same issues?
I am curious what score you have.

1) I only had this issue running KAT kernel version 85. Every other kernel/combo has worked fine for me.
2) Never tried, so I don't know.
3) My Antutu scores are much higher. I can get over 6300 running at 1.2GHz. At 1.6GHz which I normally don't do, I've gotten around 8000. I haven't run Quadrant in a long time, but I know it was much higher than 2300.

I flashed eos4 (previewm150/kat 92) one more time this evening and it is the same unfortunately(...for me)
