[Q] Huawei U8800 Pro Network problem with official ICS based ROMs - Huawei Ideos X5 U8800

Hey guys, I've rooted and installed ClockWorkMod on my Huawei U8800 Pro, but whenever I installan ICS or Jelly Bean based ROM on it, it can't find network. Doesn't even ask me for the SIM PIN number. However, if I flash the Gingerbread UPDATE.APP, it works without any problems.
Any advice, anyone? I'm utterly baffled by this issue.
EDIT: Managed to solve the problem by installing this wonderful ROM, along with the ICS Baseband included in the post.

change android drivers in custom rom

Hello i recently got a zte blade from my provider (tmn in portugal) here they call it a5 i already installed two diferent froyo roms but i lose the camera and everytime the device goes to sleep thouchscreen just stops responding, i'm guessing its a drivers issue, is there any way to add my stock rom camera and thouchscreen drivers to a froyo custom rom ?
Thx in advance
no, it is kernel based. wait for the Japanese froyo dump.
another reminder, wrong thread. please keep to forum rules
can't he just use the stock kernel instead of the one from the custom rom?

poweramp 2

any way to make it work on cm7? i know it works on official 2.3.5 but i don't want to use that rom.
If you really want to fix your problem with poweramp, you should go to their forum and seek for a solution.
and that's where i found the solution of updating to official gb cause open gl driver in u8800 2.3 custom roms seems to suck
I'm runnin 2.3.5 ROM and poweramp and have no problem with it. I didn't notice any graphical issues with this ROM either.
from TT ideos x5
official 2.3.5?
Official U8800V100R001C00B518G001(Beta1.0)(Overseas Normal)(Gingerbread)

[Q] No Connection with Aurora 2.02

Hi Guys,
Because i cant post in the Andoird Development thread yet i put the question here.
Correct me if its wrong.
With aurora 2.02 on my Ideos X5 i cant connect to the Network, Cant recieve calls/SMS.
Does anyone have a solution?
Thanks in advance!
I also cant install Whatsapp because it cant read the unique identification code from my device?
Hi, did you updated from previous version, or have you installed it from other ROM? It happens sometimes, that the ROM doesn't get properly installed and can't read devices info like IMEI, WIFI MAC adress,...
Usually re installing the ROM fixes the problem, but you have to clear cache and dalvik first.
I've updated from a 2.3.7 rom from another dev.
i did wipe all the data/cache/delvik.
And yesterday i tried installing MIU en then installing Aurora again with full wipes but still i have the same problem?

First update to b516 or something like that .35 stock than update to ics. These problems generally happens with .32 kernel. Read aurora's first post carefully everything you need is there.

Miui + defy+ (2.3.5)

Hi everyone,
I was trying to post this in another thread but I'm unable to post in the Development sector.
I have a Motorola Defy+ running the Android 2.3.5, I've tested the following ROM's:
CM9 by quarx
CM9 by Epsylon
Both runs just fine, but I was thinking this weekend to test another rom's to have new experiences and found out about the MIUI, which seens to be a very good rom.
But the fact is that I'm facing some troubles trying to run this rom.
Everytime I try to apply it, the Recovery says to me that the install went ok, but once I reboot the phone, I got stuck in the Motorola Bootloader screen, and I have to flash a stock SBF again.
I've tried the STABLE (GB) and the BETA (ICS), both got the same problem.
Different versions of 2ndinit (1.4, 2.0, 2.3).
Does anyone know why I'm having this problems?
I would appreciate any help.
Best regards,
AFAIK, MIUI requires Froyo kernel and Defy+ has GB kernel.

MIUI is a froyo based ROM.
Downgrade to froyo if you need to flash it..
