If you're able to purchase it off the Play Store, I don't see why not.

I don't think so. If they'd intended for it to have international warranty, they'd have sold it internationally through the Play Store.

Well they are selling it internationally. That is if your country is supported by the Play Store.

Yes, outside of supported countries, don't expect warranty.
I have an N7. Here in India it's not yet launched, but we do get warranty.
Just sayin'
Speaking of warranties, does anybody know the standard warranty the phone will come with? Is it one-year?

Of course, the phone would be covered by warranty even on moon. But it won't be honoured except in the country of sale.
I would know the answer soon, at least for the Asus Google Nexus 7, and it could be the same case for the LG Google Nexus 4. A Swiss bought the tablet in the U.S., he is currently in Thailand an it have flaws. He is seeking an authorized service center to have it repaired... I will tell more soon.

Was wondering..is it possible to buy this device and use it in the us now? If so..could someone point me to a seller?
Yes. I am using one with AT&T right now. There are plenty of posts with where to buy them.

Amazon.com
Newegg.com
Clove.co.uk
Expansys-usa.com
Handtec.co.uk
The marketplace here.
Clove, expansys and hantec will give you a 2 year Samsung warranty if you are in the US. Amazon and newegg won't. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

You get international warranty from some sellers in amazon.com as well. Just search SA-I9100 in amazon and they are around $684. Although I don't know what is the difference between sa and gt models.

Hmmm....thanks you guys were a lot of help. Would it be wise to buy from sprint on the 24th? Or is there a better version somewheres else

If you are on Sprint, then only the sprint version will work on sprint. You can't buy an international version and use it on sprint. So you don't really have a choice, unless you plan on switching.
The international version only works on ATT.
Anyone from Singapore spotted this baby in any of the shops yet?
I know it's yet to be officially released but I remember seeing the galaxy nexus in sim lim and some random neighborhood hp shop at least 3 weeks before actual release date... plan to go scout for this this weekend to try and check out the pricing for buying off the shelves here...
I'm abit skeptical of ordering electronic eqpt online....

I think we'll have to wait till December or next year january. I want the nexus 4 badly but do you know what's the suggested price of it?
I want this piece also. But here in Malaysia i know price will be marked up more than 50%. Which is kinda sh*tty. Sigh. So i plan to get it in the US via playstore and somehow delivered to my mom who is currently visiting there.
Sent from my Nexus S using xda app-developers app
Scouted still no sight of it.... will continue and update rrp for it I don't know.... if you're in Malaysia and near SG maybe we could work something out if and when it hits stores here...
Jellybeaning.....
Yeah. Oh just out of curiosity how much did it cost for gnex in Singapore when it was first launched?
Sent from my Nexus S using xda app-developers app
Don't remember actually but now it's going for about 490 if I got it right...

Yeah. You're the lucky one. Sigh. I don't think so i could get from playstore as planned. Since it has to be bought using a US credit card. Oh well. Just have to check the price here when its launched here. Worse comes to worst at least I'll get at least a one year warranty for that kinda markup price
Sent from my Nexus S using xda app-developers app
That thing is obviously going to sell for more than the GNex. Might end up going for the Xperia P if the price doesn't drop.

Jellybeaning on my p970.....
I'm sure it will be very expensive. If Europe is anything to go by , LG will sell it with a RRP of SG$900+ (€599 in EU, even though it's only €299 in the Play store).
I think I'll be getting mine from Aussie Play store when I'm there in December. Might order 2 and sell one if I can profit from it.

You'll find some uk ones on eBay for a small mark up once they launch I'm sure. Postage might be a bit steep though!
Hey guys visit this website http://www.GadgetsINSG.com/#!google-nexus-4/cmht some guy asked me if I want to reserve or not. I can't believe the nexus 4 at 8gb is going to costs S$549 while the galaxy nexus costs S$700+
Edit.... saw that it's pay upon collection!

Will do. Whether I buy an extra one depends on the SG price and if I leave in time to claim the Aussie GST back
Also a friend might want to order one, and I believe you can only order 2 per account.

sorry if this has already been asked but I was wondering why this phone is going for more on ebay then it does on the play store? Why are people buying at a higher price if you can get it unlocked directly from the store?
I don't know why people are buying it at a higher price, anyway, some of us don't have any devices in the play store, like me in Croatia

This sucks bigtime! I fear It will be the same in more countries.....
the play store price remain the same, for international just have to wait for a site like expansys to give a good price.

Same for me (in Austria). But at least many Austrians have the chance to get it from Germany's Play Store through friends/relatives in Germany. But thing is, the recommended retail price of € 549.- for the Nexus 4 16 GB won't correspondend to the actual selling prices. The first retailer is already announcing it for € 399.- (http://geizhals.at/eu/859912), others will follow. The only reason for this crazy pricing is probably LG's try to protect their Optimus G (which is very similar to the Nexus 4) of being unsellable...
...
why google don't open the Google Play Device store to more countries ..
what is the reason for google to select or not to select a country ? resistance from local retail or mobile operators ?
such a big price diff is ridiculous ..btw..
Yeah, I'm always getting "this product is not available in your country", Portugal here, and I just don't see the reason why they do it like that. Whats the difference betwen the countrys that justifies this regon lock in apps, devices, etc.?
Sent from my Nexus S using xda app-developers app
There may not be a technical reason for limiting the Play Store to certain countries.
Allowing sales in a country opens up all kinds of legal liability. You have to be able to collect and submit applicable taxes, adhere to fair trade laws, deal with customs and tariffs, etc.

From what I've read, you have to use credit card from the same country as your home adress country, so, it will not be possible...

No, warranty is non-transferable in normal circumstances. Call Google for clarification, though
It was purchased from a T-Mobile store if that matters

Why should it? If he owns the bill everything should be okay. Sold a phone once wich still was in warranty period. Just copied the Bill and everything was OK.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
Might work that way in the US, but in the UK a warranty isn't always transferable regardless of having the original POP because the device is technically 2nd hand and most warranties state it's for the original purchase only - definitely that way for the company I work for. If the original owner registered the unit for warranty then you're screwed. If not, you might be able to get away with it
I live in the us. Any way to check online?

Yes you can...I had a similar issue...bought off craigslist...screen had major flicker issues....if you get a hold of the person who sold you the phone and have them give you the receipt..then you can RMA it only through LG because its from t-mobile...mine was bought from google so google has the RMA processed.
Ya bought one from kijiji Toronto on wondering the same thingHe bought his from the play store...
Okay so let me update this so i can get a better answer. The phone i am needing a replacement on is a phone i got from craigslist. i don't have the receipt but the phone had never been turned on before i was the one to open the box. If you did not purchase the device from Google Play you'll have to contact LG for warranty service. http://www.lg.com/us/support-mobile/lg-LGE960
If its from T-Mobile call customer care and get a warranty exchange if your phone line has the the device warranty.
