I guys i have the franco kernel "r25 version" and the kernel has the GPU OC feature , i run some quadrant and the fps is always arounfd 60 max.
How can i set the clock ? there is a program to do that? Thks

Stop using quadrant. -_- use a real graphics benchmark like taji I think its called.

but other day i saw a guy with a nexus 7 and his fps were 100
and can u aswer my question , how oc the gpu?

Because other kernels also uncap the fps... which is pointless.

Buy his app there is an interface for it. Or you could change the max in the file located in /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/ called GPU_oc. The number in the file is the max frequency change it to whatever you like. Nothing above 700 I would suggest. Use a root explorer or echo the number via terminal emulator.

I use the trinity kernel and my quadrant score is only like at 5000? I dont understand everyone else gets 7000 or around 6900? What settings do you guys use on the kernel? and my I/O score is very low.

I/O scores can be upped by turning off fsync, with a supported kernel, either via an app or script.
_motley's kernel thread has a command for disabling fsync, and can be saved to a script and put in the init.d folder. Trinity has an app that can set the setting as well.
Thanks but for benchmarking does everyone change the governor to performance and max out the GHZ to the highest..? I do that. and my scores arent even that good.

no, i get lower scores with the performance governor. personally i prefer ondemand/deadline. also, the commands to run the ext4 mount script that the tkt app runs, and the commands to turn off/on fsync, are in my signature. use the terminal emulator. remember to benchmark highest cpu/highest cpu.
How do i do the ext mount script..? its not in the trinity kernel app.
Its done automagically.

all you do is open the app after you bootup. it runs it automagically on that first opening
quadrant means nothing etc
How do you overclock the gpu on the nexus 7?
Thanks

Install a custom kernel that supports GPU OC(like M-kernel), then use trickstermod. Its on the last page.
I changed it via /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/gpu_oc
changed it to 765 and changed permissions no write access so it'll stick on reboot i think it works... Trixster doesn't seem to work...
765 from 446 stick lags it's ass off so i don't think it's actually working im on slim rc2 4.2.1 with the Trinity kernel 1.7Ghz and Nova 3 lags a lot!
The Tegra 3 performs like crap!
Hey XDA,
Not to sound like a nerd about benchmark scores, but testing using 3D Mark, my Graphics Score w/ a 600 Mhz overclock can't beat my Nexus 7 2013 at 487 Mhz.
I'm using Faux's Kernel, and I'm not sure what's wrong.

your phone probably cant hand the overclock properly. just because you set it to a number, doesnt mean that your device can perform at that number.

Ah, yes, I just tested and noticed that it couldn't run at 600, 360 ran faster. Hm, time to figure this out.
Thanks!
Octa-core Samsung Galaxy S4 caught cheating on GPU benchmarks. The real GPU Clock is 480MHz. When using benchmark, the Galaxy S4 GPU start ticking at 532MHz and continues to do so until you exit the app.
So, my question is,
How can we overclock our GPU to 532Mhz?
Maybe the devs can make the GPU always 532Mhz on Custom Rom like Cyanogenmod Rom to get the best performance?
The real GPU clock is 544MHz.

I read the article somewhere (can't give you the link because I'm new user), the real GPU is 480MHz. It only clock to 544MHz when you're running Benchmark tool such as 'Antutu Benchmark'. But after you exit the benchmark app, The GPU will clock to 480Mhz for battery saving. It will never use 544Mhz unless you're running benchmark app.

WOW !! Really ? What Rom that u're using ? Can I use Perseus kernel and wanam lite rom ? or with cyanogenmod ? and how can I check if my GPU is clock at 640Mhz ?

I've flashed perseus kernel. I see that the GPU can be overclock to 700MHz.
Is there any problem/risk for my phone to damage if I overclock the GPU too much ? 700MHz ?

from my prespective, id'nt touch that ,since overclocking GPU eats up battery like crazy ,id only overclock it if need it for some big apps or games that lags on default gpu settings but i never had kinda issues so i just leave it on default..
Anyways, check http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2356445
Mine @ 700MHz. Smooth as butter...

Moin,
Is there any app that provides performance profiles like CPU-, GPU-clock speed etc? My old tf300 came with build in options for that :crying:
Thank you

I mean something like a widget with Performance presets (yeah i should have said that ) so you can easily switch between them... for example
Code:
preset 1: CPU 1,5GHz to 1 GHz, GPU 400 MHz
preset 2: CPU 1 GHz to 380 MHz, GPU 200 MHz
etc.
franco.Kernel updater offers power modi based on which app you are currently running. It's not exactly what you were looking for, but I think this functionallity goes even further.
Also I think (I haven't used it in ~2 years) setCPU does offer some functionallity like this
Now that I understand the question: Is this even possible when we're talking stock/unrooted? (Just assuming, because OP asked for an app, not ROM)

No. Such a modification would need root access.
Thanks a lot! I will try SetCPU, because i don't want to manage the clockspeed for all of my apps in franco.updater
