Has anyone seen a program like yourcall for palmos from Iambic? It ends a call with every kind of follow up action at your fingertips. I miss this very much now that I have switched to WM6 htc mogul. Even a dialer with task, note, meeting buttons would be good. Especially if it had the ability to capture the name of the person you were calling or had just called and include it in the title of the action.
I am using blk theme htc dialer currently and it has a note button. Perhaps someone could add another row of buttons.

Mmm, I remember that argument, the one where Olipro and Pawel absolutely, positively guaranteed that the Shift would make voice calls out of the box, and I was saying that it wouldn't..... Anyone know who was correct?

So Pawel. how are the team doing with putting back the vital phone functionality that HTC removed, in their wisdom? I know you haven't been supplied with a Shift yet, but a couple of the team members have.

I had a spec sheet saying the bastard thing would make them out of the box, so yeah, HTC threw the **** in my face on that, but of course, feel free to relish rubbing salt in my wounds
Is it possible that can make screen rotate with animation on Diamond, like Iphone & Omina? It looks so cool!!!
So coool... And totally useless... Come on, why do you want that? Is your social life so miserable that you need a phone with sexy animations to look like a nice person? That's pathetic!
clandestino.
I must say that if your going to choose a good looking phone like the diamond then whats wrong with having good looking animations. If your not bothered what your phone looks like then you dont really need the diamond.
Dont be nasty just because your in a bad mood

just because someone doesn't find the use in a feature doesn't mean everyone else has to be without it.
If you're not ending this attitude conversation, I will! Back to topic!
I really can't believe nobody things that this should be a must on the Diamond having a delay when it rotates.

Those are very nice , you can't say the iphone animations suck, because the Apple OS can handle them, WM sucks so hard it will make your phone ****ed up if you apply those animations ...

One last warning before I close this thread: focus on the topic and restrain yourself from useless posting/fighting, arguing.
The iPhone kinda cheats to make those animations... it takes an instant screenshot and then animates that, it's not true ui animation.
There was a program that was called PocketSuspendFX that did that with WinMo during shutdown/startup and it worked pretty well.
WinMo 6.x is very able to do this but I'd want it "done right". It's a wonder why MS didn't implement this in the 6.1 update.

the benifit of videocalling is not to see your face only ,you may need to show some one a thing when shopping or doing any thing before doing it ,video conference is only one benfit of it
dual post .................
There is very little point in video call without seeing the other persons face.
I understand where your coming from with needing to show someone something.
But I've never ever needed to show someone something that badly..
It would be nice, but we'd never use it.

I agree, plus, if the other person can video call (Which is also expensive), they likely have a phone that will accept a picture message or a video message that our HD2's can send (And with good quality results too, better quality that front facing cameras too).
Without a front facing camera I can't see the point either.
Basically there is so little demand that unless HTC were getting hammered with requests I doubt they'd do something about it.

to show someone something i can put the call on hold, take a picture -> send it via mail/mms, and then carry on talking. hence, no need for video calling
ON MY REGION IT IS VERY CHEAP TO MAKE VIDEOCALL THAN SENDING MMS videocall is as expensive as normal call on my country ,so better for me to havevideo call

I wasnot shouting i , forgot to close the cabs lock
Here is how to do it:
- install "HTC Dialer disabler (MS Dialer enabler).cab"
- soft reset
- install "Rhodium dialer.cab"
- soft reset
Now you should have the video call option in your dialer.
Here in Macedonia we have cheap video calls and indeed it's cheaper than sending mms. As I work in one of the mobile operators I get unlimited video calls for free. So I really miss it

I have long read and experienced myself the inability to make a 3-way call on AOSP...well, after loving Vaelpak and SavagedZen AOSP Gingerbread ROMs and being determined to stop finding excuses to flash back to HTC Sense ROMs just to have a 3-way call, I have found the way to do so without any mods, diapers, etc....
1. Call a buddy, friend etc and have them answer your call.....tell them to hold on and let you make a three way call.
2. Then press the add call option on bottom left... you will hear a dial tone. Then go to you recent calls or contacts and place a call to another buddy, etc and as usual the call will not go thru......however..do NOT press merge call (in HTC sense you normally would, but its a no no in AOSP dialer.).
3. Repeat step 2 again and that time the call will be made and when 3 party answers THEN YOU CAN press at top left merge call.
My first XDA thread......hope I helped.
Peace

You have to do all that for a 3 way call? AOSP ftl. Sense 3 is kicking butt anyways
Sent from my WarmZ EVO XDA app powered by Sprint!
That's the ONLY issue with AOSP. Sense 3 huh? I haven't. Seen it yet.
I have been using asop roms for awhile and have made a number of 3-way calls with no issues at all. I just call the 1st person tell them to stay on the line hit talk and dial 2nd person and when it starts ringing hit talk again to connect all parties.
"Hell I don't know anymore"

For some cooky reason I haven't been able to as I do on SENSE. And I know I have read that I'm not alone....when I do as normally would with sense it just gives dial tone and just silence, then gives me a busy signal.

maybe you had a bad flash? Im glad you got it to work, I havent had a problem with 3 way calls yet and I do it a lot. I'm on CM7 and it has been working with all builds ive used so far (from what I remember).
One thing, I do usually wait for the person on the second line to answer first before I merge because I feel that I have to let them know about it, or at least get them ready, but thats just me.

The lack of a [Q] in the topic, or the fact that it's a supposed "fix" might have thrown people off. Probably should be in general, based on the updated rules, but meh, it's not worth the fight. It's not technically development, but it isn't a question either.

That's right. I have seen VaelPak preview 1 and will flash 2 soon. I'm using Savage's. Right now since I saw its a complete RC of 2.3.4 as opposed to 2.3.3.
VAELPAK 3.2 is what I used to have , to sort of weening myself away from HTC Sense.
His work is very dedicated and offers great support.
SAVAGE'S 2.3.4 is a new experience for me. So far I found no issues that I didn't remedy.
The 3-way feature is key for me because I do alot of it. I feel AOSP is the way to go.
