Problem receiving calls on my Wizard

Hey guys.
I'm a newbie to this forum so I took my time before actually opening this topic and read through most of the stuff around here, also tried searching to see if anyone had the same question as me but couldn't find anything, so, here it goes.
I just recently got a T-Mobile MDA (the wizard) and I seem to be having problems with receiving phone calls. If the phone goes idle for long enough the calls just don't go through, but, if I call someone then for a period of time they do come in just as normal. Is this a known problem to the device? Has anyone else had this same issue?
I've tried contacting both T-Mobile and HTC but neither was of any help yet. The phone is running on WM6, with a ROM that I can't really tell which is (it's the one that loads with a BOOM! written on the startup screen, maybe that helps?).
The phone has been master reseted and the problem goes on, sim card changed, all the stuff. My question is:
Anyone know if this could be a problem related to the ROM of the WM6 i'm running? Or anyone just have a clue of what could be the problem or ways to fix it?
I was going to go through an upgrade / change of ROM but thought would be best to ask first and see if it's necessary so I don't take unecessary risks.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
what is your radio rom?
2.19 seems to be most stable with wm6's.
The Radio version I have is a 2.25.11 (shown on device information)
ROM Version 11.0.0.0 if that means anything.
Edit:
Copying from the Wizard Service Tool:
=> Firmware:
OS: 5.2.xxx (Build 18521.0.7.0)
ROM: 2.18
Registry AKU: .0.7.0
Radio: 02.25.11
Protocol: 4.1.13.12
=>Extended_ROM:
Version: TNT Series by its right
Name: Extended_ROM
Status: hidden
Edit --------
So okay, one last question: My phone is upgraded to WM6, that means it's already unlocked and everything, correct? I dont need to do the unlocking said here in step 3.6 right? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298613
I'm sorry for this bump.
I just finished upgrading the phone to a TNT 6.1 "It's right" ROM, that Professional TouchFlo one, and yet, the problem seems to continue.
I'm guessing that I'm really SOL on this one and that it's a phone hardware issue then? And also, guessing that HTC wouldnt help me since it's moded?
Should I try to downgrade to the T-Mobile original software and maybe hope that it works better there?
If anyone has any input or advice it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
i think you should try another radio rom first.
despite i never tried 02.25.11
Question:
How do I change my radio rom? Is it just updating with another rom of WM6? Like trying another different or do I need to do something specific?
I know it's not supposed to be advertising or suggesting a specific rom here in the forum but I really have no idea what could be a stable one that I could give a try.
In the replies a 2.19 is mentioned but I tried searching the forum and didn't find an answer, could someone give me a hand please?
Thanks again and sorry for all the inconvinience.

I agree with this 100%.Worked for me
Can anyone point me in the direction of a 2.19?
Thanks again.
searching is a good skill to possess.....you should try it, you'll like it.

Sorry about the truoble. I did try searching all over the place on this issue and only came up short on most. Got a lot of responses but it seemed like none was very decisive or without a good explanation.
But thanks for the help, really appreciated. I'll search on instalation for this rom and hopefully it'll help me out.
same problem here.....with TNT 6.1 and radio 2.25.11
If I install the 2.19 radio only as joemanb suggests, will it reset all my programs and setting back to factory? in other words, do I loose everything as if I'm doing a ROM update?
had the same problem, i dont remember what radio rom i had, some1 suggested to changed to 71, didnt work, and then in a thread that was very similar to this one, a guy suggested to the creator to use 2.19.11, who then was very thankful because it worked. gave it a try, and now im looking for that thread to say thanks and report that the problem is long gone!
So yes, try 2.19.11, i downloaded it from the very first post of the radio upgrade thread, the one thats says for europe. And no, you wont lose everything, its only a RADIO rom change, things related to the phone settings not the PDA.
Yeah, quick update / bump.
Just wanted to say a big thank you, I indeed used the 2.19 as recommended and it worked to perfection. No more missed calls and surprisingly, my reception actually got a lot better so I'm now a very happy customer. It also diminished by a lot the problem I had with ending short calls or stopping it before going through.
Thanks a lot you guys, it really helped me out a lot, sorry for any inconvinience / pita I may have caused.

Did you even read the link? It tells you what to do.
Plus, your not giving us much info to go on. And actually, I'm guessing if you searched with some of the details of how your nosgm started, someone probably already experienced it and has a conclusion of how to fix/couldn't fix.
help me please infor me step by step
No GSM showing means that something went wrong with the radio rom upgrade.
I suggest that you try to downgrade to the official rom for your device. Then you can upgrade to whatever version of OS you want, but make sure that the rom does not contain radio upgrade.
The Issue "No GSM" is because of bad sodering contacts between the QC and Samsung flash or the Samsung CPU and the contiguous flash (samsung) and it resuts all the strange behaviours of this HTC model. Anyway for me it's another proof of samsung quality
Low emission soldering + thin ICs (big foolish sandwich FLASH/CPU) + over located Keyboard = possible cold/bad contact soldering problem.
The proof is the many "NoGSM" issues got without any trying ROM update, or the too many 2XX errors during upgrade.
Do you have a problem with the radio not working?(not able to receive signal, make/receive calls/text?) Cause i had the same problem. Anyways, the way i fixed it is by dissasembling the 8525, and reassembling it back together. Then i flashed the official wm6 rom with 1.48 radio, and it works fully now.
I heard that no gsm can occur with a failed radio flash, which i think is unrepairable, except by replacing the motherboard. If it wasnt a failed radio flash, then i think theres several methods to remedy it. Just try all the methods including mines. Hope you get it to work, theres been too many "no gsm" errors lately. Whoever designed the 8525 should be shot for making such a weak phone.

[Q] Problem with microphone

First of all I would like to apologize for posting in Defy forum, but as I have very similar device (Motorola Bravo) which has almost identical hardware to Defy, I hope to receive some more answers here, because that forum is not so active as this one. So thanks for understanding me guys.
Here is my problem :
Good day,
I just have bought an Motorola Bravo phone of the ebay and it has one strange issue.
When I call to someone they can't hear me, but if I turn on speaker, they hear me fine.
What could be the cause of the problem ? I have dissasembled the phone and saw that the microphone is not replacable ( it is soldered to the mainboard )
Can you guys help me ? Thanks.
Also the android version is 2.3.4 with non working camera (dunno the rom name)
EDIT : I just have flashed stock 2.2.1 rom with RSD Lite and the problem is still there.

[Q] Nexus 4: after 4.2.2 update I can`t hear anyone on the phone

Hi! I hope that there is someone here able to help me...
I`m having the following issue:
My brand new phone Nexus 4 ( unrooted ) was fine until i have decided to roll out the 4.2.2 update directly from "check for software" tab.
After this update, I`m not able to hear anyone when I`m calling someone. The connection is made and the seconds keep running...but I can`t hear the other person and the other person can`t hear me as well.
I read here that it could be a problem with radio baseband. I looked into About phone tab but the radio version is .48
In the meantime i tried to downgrade to 4.2.1 and even to 4.2 with radio .33 but in call audio is still not working
What else can I do? I`m opened to suggestions.
I flashed PacMan Rom from here which is great but the issue is still not fixed. I`m attaching a picture from my current "about phone" tab.
Any suggestions?
PS: If I dial the emergency number "112" I`m able to hear the other person and she can hear me too ... just tested. So..I don`t think that`s a hardware issue. Right ?
PS2: I`m sure that the phone speaker and microphone are fine since i`m able to do voice search, watching youtube videos, etc.
Thank you! I really hope that someone will have a clue about what`s going on with my device.
If needed I can provide any other additional information or generate a bugreport.
Thank you!

Flash back baseband .48. It worked for me. I had the same issue.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
Thanks for your reply, but already tried that with no luck
Any other suggestions?
I had the same issue, but flasing the 4.2.2 base band solved the problem.
Before that, I rolled back to 4.2.1 (stock reset), then update to 4.2.2.
Yeah...I tried this as well but still can`t hear anyone.
I tried with some old baseband as well. Nothing seems to work.
Don`t know what else should I try.
Basically I tried 4.2 with all 3 different basebands, then I tried 4.2.1 with all basebands, then I tried 4.2.2 with all basebands.
And I did the same for two other custom roms. Nothing seems to fix this issue.
But I still don`t think to be a hardware issue since I can hear the lady from 112(emergency number)
I think that it might be something related to the Radio Band Frequency or something like that.
When I`m in the "secret menu" *#*#4636#*#* most of the times, the phone is set up for "WCDMA Preferred " and I don`t know if this is OK or not.
I did try to change it to GSM only or other mods, but this didn`t fixed my issue.
Also when I try to hit the button from the lower right corner with Select Radio band, the app is crashing. See the 2 attached image of this post.
I read on this forum about this bug as well...and I even tried a custom ROM with this bug fixed. But the only option included in that ROM was "USA BAND" , and since I`m not in USA, I didn`t see the point on trying it. I didn`t want my phone to be locked on a USA BAND.
As far as I read, in the original version of 4.2.2 there should be around 6-7 different Radio Bands to choose from. But ...the original stock rom is crashing right now.
Any other points of view / solution?
Thank you!
Hi,
I had the same issue. No sound with 4.2.2, but everything fine with 4.2.1. There were also others symptoms with 4.2.2: very long boot time, and the PIN dialogbox did not show immediately after boot, but after several minutes.
I call the support and got my phone exchanged without much negociation. My first phone was a Rev_10 hardware. The new is a Rev_11, and the 4.2.2 update worked well on it.
May be a bad production batch...
