Edit: Nevermind after a reboot back into recovery everything is fine!
I just got a 32 GB N7 about 2 hours ago, I rooted it and just flashed TWRP v2.3.3.1 but it keeps complaining about being unable to format /data and /cache. I thought maybe the partitions got corrupted somehow during unlocking but once I booted back into Android it shows as having a total space of 28 GB with 27.75 GB available.
Does anyone else with a 32 GB have this problem?

I have twrp recovery installed and I just flashed cm10.1 but afterward I have some 400 mb as storage. Any help?
Hi,
after flashing, restoring and wiping quite alot, i ended up with a official 4.4.2 open ROM, rooted and with custom recovery but only 16GB space on my 32GB model.
So i used parted via adb from cwm to increase the userdata partition. The problem was, that there was a partition called "growth" between the free space and the userdata partition. Because it was not in a fileformat that parted was able to recognize, my only option was to delete it.
Does anyone know what this partition is used for? Is it a problem that i dont have it anymore? The phone seems to be working just fine.
UPDATE : FIXED MY PROBLEM.
My 32gb nexus7 is now only 8gb!k Anyone know how to fix this?
I recently upgraded my nexus7 to kitkat and had problems with restoring my user data.
I decided to downgrade back to 4.3 and had a problem that left me without recovery, only bootloader.
I used NRT 1.8.2 to fix it, but had to enable "FORCE FLASH" for it to work.
Now it thinks its an 8gb tablet, which is really only 6gb. HELP! I really need my other 24 gb back!
Any ideas would be really appreciated.
THE SOLUTION :
I had to use the -w option to flash the system.
ex. fastboot -w flash system system.img
it recognized the size mismatch and reformatted during flashing.
NOTE : wipe in TWRP recovery did not help, maybe if i had restored the stock recovery.
I just had the problem with my 16GB showing only 8GB for me all i did was to a factory reset in recovery and fixed the problem with me.
So there is a question - is there any partitions that cant be seen even by root or Recovery (example TWRP). I know that 16gb model has only 10.6 gb available to user. And with root i could see what partitions and how much of those 5.4 gb is used. But when i did full wipe with twrp, and not a single folder was left (TWRP showed totally empty device), i connected my g2 to computer. Window opened as usual and i saw the same 10.6 gb available, only every single bit of it now was free But where is rest 5.6 gb after all?
The other 5.4 gb of space is used for all the system partitions... system, modem, sbl (bootloader), kernel, recovery... and so.
Guys, after I changed from stock to the Bootleggers, my internal storage changed from 59gb to 480mb and system and cache aren't over sized... IDK what happened, but I'd like some help
Probably needs formatting in recovery, assuming TWRP?
But I've been out of the modding scene for ages and would recommend waiting for one of the experience Axon 7 owners to give a better answer.
i had it some times too,i thought go in twrp and do a format data and clean flash ( you lose everything ofcourse)
