Thinking about buying Nexus 7

OK I'm thinking about buying a nexus 7 from the marketplace on xda.
My question is if I buy a month old nexus 7, is the warranty transfered over to me?
If I experience any issues will I be able to get it fixed within the 1 year warranty period?

normally u would pay 249 + tax + shippinng + price for the case

I think all devices have a 1year regardless. Most companies can look up the serial and can tell exactly when I was purchased.
There is no warranty to transfer really as the device itself is covered.

Good trade yes or no?

a guy is offering me a galaxy nexus GSM plus a Nexus 7 8GB a microsim adapter and 40 dollars for my Tmobile galaxy s3 32GB . What are your thoughts on this should i do it? I dont have a tablet and i like the stock google but the new galaxy nexus is coming out soon. What do you guys think? Can i resell for more i bought the s3 for 470

I doubt you will be able to resell those and get your $470. I would hold onto the s3, and just buy a new nexus, or a n7 if u want one. The s3 32gb is too sweet.

New Gsm nexus is 350$ from google and a new 8gb N7 is 200$ do the math if you looking to resell you probably wont get your money's worth. I wouldnt do the trade and just wait on the next nexus and sell your GS3 then.

I wouldn't trade nexus phone even the new one won't be as nice as the s3. The s3 spec are way better IMHO

go for it, 2 > 1 , u will end up using the phone less anyway so the slight downgrade in specs wont matter much. just know u will have less storage space. and a galaxy nexus sells for about 250 a n7 200 that 450 + 40 u will come out ahead

Lol so the other guy backed of someone just offered me a nexus 7 16gb and a gsm nexus. Definetly taking that deal plus hes adding 40 too

I have it on sprint and will be cancelling my contract to get this and go to t mobile prepaid .. Any nexus s users planning on getting this?

Doing the exact same thing. My sprint contract is old enough that it is only $50 to end it early. I'm going with the $30 T-mobile prepaid with 100 min and unlimited data/text plan since I've only used 467 talk minuets since April.

Wow I wish mines was only 50 lol.. I have to pay like 250 for mines I have about 13 months left

I've got a Nexus S. I won't have to cancel my contract with Telus, which has 15 months left. I can't remember if they will charge me a fee to swap phones in the middle. I probably won't pick this up right away though.

I'm planning on getting this and I'll give my Nexus S to my daughter as her first smartphone.

I have a GSM Nexus S, I purchased about 15 months ago, not only did I pay $200 (brand new fallen of the truck craiglist special) for it at that time but saved $20 per month by going prepaid and that was the smartest move I did.
Just got myself a Nexus 7, I just realized how slow and small my Nexus S was, I am getting the Nexus 4 on day one.

I have had the luckiest weekend with the new nexus 7's

So most of you really won't give a hoot but I got the new nexus 7 the Friday that it released, really liked it but after a week or so I started feeling a little underwhelmed so I put on ad on craigslist, knowing that the 32gb was in demand I decided to try push my luck and see if I could get a good smart phone in a trade with as little cash as possible.... Well Friday morning I traded the Nexus 7 and $60 for an unopened black mist 32gb galaxy S4, it was a no brained not to do, anyways yesterday I started looking at tablets again as I was missing my N7, I was trying like crazy to get stores to match office max's 20% offer but couldn't, I was gonna just buy the one 16gb that one of the store s had but I decided against and I would wait for a 32gb in a few weeks...
Well this morning I look on Craigslist again out of interest seeing if their was any decent tablets on for reasonable money, i looked in the computer section and their was a nexus 7 just listed, all it said was nexus 7 32gb for $150.... I get there expecting the 1st gen, I was gonna offer him $120 for it, out he walks of his house....its only a 2nd gen brand new sealed never touched.... I just got a brand new 32gb N7 FHD for $150!!! I didn't even make him an offer, I just took it in excitement... I am a lucky lucky guy this weekend!

Awesome, I lucked out and got the last one at office max with the 20% discount on Friday. Lol I think the cashier wanted it for himself the way he was holding on to it. Nice chain of events for you, better go buy a lottery ticket too

I went to best buy and the sign for the nexus said 99$ so I told them to get a manager. Basically I got a brand new 16 gig for 106$ with tax cause someone had the wrong sign out. Thanks Best Buy.

Why would you go from A Galaxy S4 to a Nexus 4? Loss of usb otg makes it seem like a downgrade to me.

Nexus has otg but it needs power for it. I have an external battery source so it wouldn't be an issue. I am absolutely bored of my s4. Nothing new is going on with it. Because of the locked bootloader it is an issue. I don't feel like I'm getting anything out of my s4. I'm done with branded phones. If my s4 doesn't sell now then ill just buy the n5 whenever it arrives in October.

This was what happened when I went from my Galaxy Nexus to S3, although it was an international version so it didn't have problem with locked boot loader. I think if you have gotten the international version there would be plenty of roms to play with.

There are roms to play with but I just don't feel that I am getting everything out of this phone that I could. I haven't even flashed a rom in weeks. I don't feel like I'm using a quad core because of lag. I played a few games and I lagged. I am just going to wait for the n5 and swap out.
