[Firmware] Upgrade from diff. Regions - Galaxy S III General

My phone came from vietnam and its stock rom is from vietnam when im using the phone on internet 3g etc it doesn't get hot at all..
after upgrading and testing from other Region firmware... my phone gets too hot..
Anyone... whats the difference on different region firmware? except the csc...
cause if its only the csc is different then... United Kingdom gets xxlj4 then other countries should get LJ4 but not ... others get LIH and LJ1
why is that so?

Anyone?
Guess not?

another difference is the modem that gets flashed with the firmware.
hence maybe try a different modem to start with, not sure if it will work out your heat issue though. you can find a modem collection here

Requesting i9000T Firmware

I have the i9000T HKTTT version of the Galaxy S.
In KIES, the original firmware was JG5/JG7/JG4.
After a stupid action, I bricked it but managed to get it in Download mode but flashed it with the wrong firmware. I am currently using the European firmware and got the CODE and CSC consistent with the default one but the European firmware has the PHONE version of jg1.
Where can I find jg7? Would piecing together these firmwares essentially get me back to the original factory settings? How do I set my CSC?
Thanks
take look at
http://www.samfirmware.com
you have to register (its free) there to have access to the firmware section.
regards
I have already been there. Either I don't know how to read the labels or they aren't present.
I am also stuck with a half-bricked i9000T... my carrier is Telcel, from Mexico. Does anyone know if there are any proper firmwares for latin american i9000T's?
Hey! I´m from mexico too. I have a i9000T with TELCEL and I have the firmware XXJVS from samfirmware working without problems, everything work fine, also 3G.
And I have tried a lot of Roms from the I9000 forums and almost everyone works fine too.

Galaxy 5360L no signal after flashing with odin.

I tried to repair a friends 5360L because it stopped reading the SD cards sometimes, however now the signal is always 1 bar and it wont show 3g or EDGE.
The FW i used was downloaded from SAMfirmware and the same model I had. 5360L from movistar latin america.
After a lot of researching I've tried more than 10 different firmware and the signal is still the same. I know is the modem file that was wrong for my country, but I cannot find the right one.
Please Help.

its not the modem file.i have german with asian mixed on my phone and there was never any fail.what is your provider?
I have the same problem, but mine was that I flashed my s5360L with DXLC1 from Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam) and had almost no signal, one bar occasionally, I flashed it because with the stock ROM (UHKJ2_UUBKJ1_UHKJ2) restarts on standby, now I have UHKJ2 again but it keeps resetting so I would like to install the DXLC1 again maybe with the UHKJ2 modem or csc I don't know. But I don't know if it's possible without problems.
I solved my problem installing S5360B_UTLC2_ZTOLC1_UTLC1_by_Doky from brazil, and I'm from VNZ

SM-N900 Modem/ CSC Country question

I had purchased an unlocked sm-n900 because I figured it might be what would work best with my carrier ( Straight Talk) here in the US. Ive had it for a little less than a month now and have had constant connection issues. Today I saw a thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2475714 In here it is mentioned that
Choosing right modem can make a huge difference as it affects reception, data speed, stability, battery life etc.

So I figured I should investigate flashing a new modem and maybe thatll help my situation. The thing is while looking at my phones info I found out the CSC country is Argentina. Does this matter at all? Is this leading to the problems with my phone or is this from the ROM i flashed (CriskeloRom Note III V05) Im just fed up with the constant connection problems and the constant having my phone go into emergency only mode. Where do I go from here? Do I need to flash a different modem, or an entirely different rom? I dont even know if I can flash any of those modems /: Heres some more info I have Latest firmware info

CSC: N900UUBCMK1

Can anyone please help

[Q] SM-N910C LTE not working in UK

Hi guys,
I am new to Samsung but like many I was tempted by the Note 4. I bought my Note 4 in Dubai (unlocked and not tied to any provider) but when I tried using it in the UK with a UK SIM (EE) I am not able to make/receive calls when set on LTE/WCDMA/GSM but I can when I select GSM Only. Samsung UK is not interested, Samsung Dubai poit me towards Samsung Egypt (because apparently this is an Egypt region phone) and Samsung Egypt do not understand what my problem is and keep sending my region unblock codes when the phone is not region locked.
Has anyone had this before and if yes what did you do to fix this?

I have been reading a lot about rooting and flashing ROMs but being new to this I am not confident enough to get into all that. I hope there is a solution without the need for rooting !!!

SIM works on my HTC One and 4G signal here good so I do not think it is the SIM. I updated firmware two days ago using Kies but no change. I am starting to suspect some sort of network blacklisting by Samsung but not sure. I also spoke to my network provider and problem not with them.
I want to test the phone in Middle East first to make sure that it is not some hardware fault bit if not my only option may be rooting and flashing different ROMs. I am also hoping that Lollipop may solve it but no way to get it now as I am not rooted yet.

This are the mine screen shot for dubai rom, u can compare.
Thanks for the screenshots. I compared with yours and it is now even more clear that mine is an Egypt phone. Do you know if I can flash the UAE firmware on my phone with or without rooting and if that would work so that the CP, SP and CSC are the same as yours rather than the Egypt ones?

my friends have this similar problem and its fix
This is how "you need a working sim from the country when you buy the samsung phone"
all you have to do is make a international call for 15 minutes to the original country
example u bought the phone in egypt so u need a working egypt simcard just call the operator in egypt and listen to the operator for 15 minuts from UK after 15 minutes (make it 20 minutes just in case) turn off your phone and change it with the UK sim card
this method works for me
u dont need to flash or root the phone
just remember this method only work with samsung unlock phones from middle east

[Q] Carrier Specific ROMs

Hey Guys!
I have a question regarding stock roms. I've been looking at SamMobile for an official release of Lollipop here in Philippines, the only download I can see is for a local carrier Globe. Will it cause problems if I flash this on my international N9005?
I also want to ask the same question for an S4 I9505, but it's the other way around; the phone is from Globe, network locked, and I am thinking of flashing an international version ROM. Will this cause problems? I know this isn't the right forum but just in case someone would like to answer.
Thank you!

1. Yes, you will have problems with the radios. It's not importat where you live that what CSC have your device. Install this APP and look for your CSC. Go to Sammobile.com, look for your csc, download and flash the latest stock rom for your device via ODIN. (Pic attached)
2. Regarding GT-i9505: Yes, it will cause lose of signal. The best you can do is unlock it by IMEI.

I flashed a rom from Brazil. Everything works great it's just that the bloatware included is annoying. I figured the best option to flasha ROM from my country but the only one with a Lollipop ROM is carrier specific.
Samsung allows users to use roms from their own region interchangeably. In most cases, even globally.
I've never encountered issues with radio or signal loss when flashing different providers and countries in my own region, and I've had thousands of people flash and use all sort of different EU firmwares. (you can find the region on the sticker on the box.)
(US users have different devices with real carrier locks, so those are excluded.)
