I currently have a Samsung Galaxy S2 and I have been very eagerly awaiting a new nexus phone however upon the announcement release and noting that this is made by LG it left me feeling a bit strange.
The spec sheet of the Nexus 4 looks absolutely amazing and the price is incredible (the lack of LTE means nothing to me and I have never used a microSD card in my life) so it is pretty much perfect except for that fact that it is made by LG.
I have had a couple of LG phones in the past and their build quality/support were the worst things I have ever seen in a phone. My experience with their phone was so bad it put me off buying anything LG (minus my trusty air conditioner heh).
The last LG phone I had was from 2009 so maybe the company has fixed up their act since then, I am really excited about a new Nexus just the LG factor is the only thing putting a maybe in my mind.
How does everyone else feel?
Everyones just going by LGs track record, no1 has even touched the device yet. but watching the verge video on youtube, quality looks awesome, but like EVERY DEVICE it wont be perfect and will have some issues.
I think it will be fine. With the Nexus you won't be fighting the bad LG UI gig. S4 processor is in a lot of new devices. Gorilla Glass 2 us also a standard. Standard 2 gig memory. Plastic is plastic at the end of the day. So being its a Google phone the OS is in their control.
So why not?

There's a reason Google chose LG. This is Google's flagship phone, if there was any doubt about quality, Google would have used a different manufacture as far as I'm concerned. I'd say we don't have to worry anymore about this phone than we do with any other phone. All phones have "issues", and I'm sure this will have its own quirks.
If your that worried don't pre-order it and wait for the reviews to start rolling in. The Verge's video made it look amazing. My only concern is the glass front and back.

That video did make the phone look amazing and I will wait for the reviews as I live in Austria anyway so who knows when we get it.

That's not really true, just because Google chooses a particular brand doesn't mean they approve of the quality. The Nexus 7 from Asus had a lot of defects.

Yeah, good point, but then again the Nexus 7 was sold at cost, so QC was probably cut to a minimum. Hopefully the Nexus 4 is different, but I'm not holding my breathe with such a "cheap" price.

The LG Optimus G looks to have pretty good build quality so I wouldnt be too worried. You could wait for a review first. Then decide?
The bad thing about LG phones has always been the software. Never owned an LG phone but I heard mixed reviews about the customer service. And o yeah, the camera has been mediocore if not bad on LG phones including those in Optimus G.

As long as the camera is better than the one in the Galaxy Nexus its good enough for me. You don't have to worry about the software as its pure Google and updated directly from Google. I have heard mixed review about customer service for every major companies honestly, even if they do receive perfect review I'd still be skeptical.
I think the build quality will be fine, base on the reviews of the Optimus G it feel very solid and doesn't creek while being twisted, while the Galaxy Nexus definitely do.
I just hope I don't get any backlight leakage, I still think it likely have less issues than AMOLED screen which has banding and dark spots that pervades all AMOLED devices I've ever owned (people who claimed they don't have it just don't know how to look for it).
After owning a LG G2x I'm very cautious about anything mobile made by them and will wait out for some reviews/feedback here on the forums. I'm going to start looking into problems with the LG Optimus and see what might be issues for the Nexus.
That said, I love my LG fridge and stove!
I'm not worried at all about it being an LG phone. Although I've never owned an LG smartphone, I've had a pile of LG dumbphones and they were the best IMO!
LG makes good hw.... its the sw support that one should be worried about... but since this is a nexus, i dont think there shall be a problem... ive been using my ob for about a year and a half and have yet to encounter any hw problems.... granted 1.5 years is a pretty short time, but ive read hw issues for other brands surface within an even shorter period than that....
oh and no my phone is not encased in a shrine i work outdoors (shipyards/ construction sites etc) so its been dropped, near strong magnets, exposed to hot metals, fully drenched in sweat, stepped on, sat on etc... and all without a phone protector (just a cheap $10 screen protector) everything still works perfect and the phone is still in one piece (casing is about 6/10 tho) =P
and yes i flash experimental roms and stuff (i even flash stuff thats not meant for my phone) and yet the mainboard has yet to fail me (crosses fingers)
so yeah.... im pretty confident about the hw.... :fingers-crossed::highfive:
Not worried at all that it's made by LG. The only prominent issue I've heard of about LG is their terrible software support, which is a moot point on a Nexus.
I'm not worried, but hate the fact they used Gorilla Glass 2, phones that came with it are easily scratched compared to GG1, so going to put screen protectors in the front and back.
about OS updates, it will come from Google, so no worries

Did you dislike the hardware or the software? As long as the build quality is fine, than we should all be fine, considering Google wil deal with the software.
Software aside, Im worried about the camera, I got the Optimus 2X then SGS2 and the cameras both 8MP are worlds apart. In other words the camera on the O2X is garbage compare to the SGS2.
So does anyone know who made the camera for the Nexus 4?
im very happy its an LG phone as they make fantasic hardware - Ive had an Opimus x2 and current on an Optimus 3D - They just have the WORST record when it comes to updating the software - both those phones are still on Gingerbread for crying out loud. Obviously it being a Nexus device means it eliminates LG from the software updates so finally they`ll have a phone that`ll keep up with the times
it's have same Optimus G at&t camera .. it's from Sony
i really want to buy this phone but i think One X camera slot better

I compromised on the desireble specs to buy Nexus S only coz Google put their stamp on it. I seriously dont understand why Google will pick Samsung (is it the super AMOLED display or something else). HTC has far better workmanship n service compared to Samsung -they r in such a rush to inundate the market with phones that their is no quality control or post sales service.
Ley me put it this way I'm never gonna buy Samsung phone again. Bought 3 of their flagship best phones in last 3 years n let down all 3 times
1. Samsung Omnia when it came out from Europe $ 600
2. Samsung i8910 (first with Amloed Display) again form europe for $700
3. Nexus S $571
I've used samrtphone for last 12 year from Palm 180 to everything, and i would say Samsung are the worst.

Seriously tho does anyone even give a damn about these "I h8 NS!" threads besides the trolls?
Samsung is doing a fine job manuacturing their phones, I'm glad I don't have to deal with TouchPiss anymore.
Google probably went with Samsung over HTC because:
- They use the Hummingbird processor, HTC doesn't.
- They're the only ones with Super AMOLED technology.
- HTC is getting their pants sued off by Apple.
- Google is trying to diversify.
- Contractual/agreement issues, who knows.
- Maybe HTC didn't want to parter again in the first place.
i am glad Google went with Samsung this time. People who own Nexus One know that the touchpad that HTC used was a ****ing fiasco. Also, this is my biggest pet peeve virtually on all HTC phones they use the crappiest quality speakers.
Sounds like the OP needs to look up the definition of "insanity" with regards to his repeated purchases of Samsung products.

I'll have to say the speaker quality on this Samsung is far better than the one on my G1. The touch screen is much more responsive than on the G1 and registers better. Of course it is a million times faster than the G1. Also, I don't need to root and modify the hell out of just to make it work remotely close to other phones.
I am impressed do far.
Only complaints, no LED notifications (knew this going in), and my wireless signal is weaker on this phone than it was on my G1 or any other wireless device in my house. Not sure what's up with that. Also, that it doesn't take advantage of T-Mobiles HSPA+. I knew this as well going in.
I don't do much mobile browsing anyway, but do like to show of videos with friends and that can be a downside. Though T-Mobile is as much to blame as a manufacturer not supporting it (read T-Mobile just sucks sometimes).
Good for you that you returned your Nexus S. Thanks for sharing. Now move on to a different forum. Or do you require some counseling for your loss?
I went from rooting the Nook color, got hooked on Android, and then bought the Nexus S. I couldn't be happier. Pure Google! Customize! No cell carrier branding! 2.3! Oh no, they have a quad core with a kitchen sink plug in, I must return my Nexus S!
Take care all. Looking forward to all the mods and roms.
Perhaps somebody should start a "I'm not returning my Nexus S, I'm perfectly happy with it" thread....

I have to agree. The ONLY thing I don't like about my Nexus S is that I'll have to put a screen protector on it because it doesn't have Gorilla Glass.
I wish they'd saved whatever cash they spent creating curved glass and just used Gorilla Glass instead.
I have Nexus S as well as Desire HD and I can tell you signal strength is far better on the Nexus S. HTC have shocking antenna problems on every Android. Still love the HD but the Nexus poops all over it.

Got rid of vibrant.
Upgraded to g2. The hinge is just horrible. It wobbles even with keyboard closed.
Got rid of g2. Got nexus one.
Trackball broke. Wifi didn't work no matter what rom I flashed. They sent me a new one even though I bought it off cl.
Got rid of nexus one got mytouch 4g.
It's a good phone. the materials they used is really good. But comes with too many qc issues.
Such as deadpixel loose battery cover. Washed out screen, off centered front facing camera, button makes squeaky sounds.
I had to send it in 5 times to get a good screen..but still had other problems such as slightly loose battery cover, light leaks, off centered front facing camera. Got rid of it and got vibrant. Couldn't be any happier.
Never leaving my vibrant.
shows that samsung has good products. but non existent customer service
The Vibrant is very so-so. 6 months into ownership, my battery (which was never spectacular to begin with) is showing signs of wear and tear.
I am currently looking and waiting for my next phone.
Samsung's (lack of) updates due to their re-releasing of the Vibrant (first as the Nexus S, and now as the Vibrant Plus). Has soured me on the brand. I am going to take a very hard look at Motorola's offerings. Hopefully T-mobile will get a decent Moto phone in (NOT the cliq or the cliq 2).
HTC has been resting on their laurels a little bit.... I expect to have bought a new device by June or July.
Grass isnt always green-er on the other side. I like the vibrant but I will upgrade when a high end physical keyboard phone comes out. I wish the samsung epic was gsm.

I called Samsung...........and they asked me "what's customer service?"
I will say that this is the best phone I have had since i migrated away from blackberry, granted this is the only the first android device i have owned but not the only one that i have played around with. I will say that the lack of support directly from T-mobile and Samsung is disappointing, however the support from developers and fellow members on xda more than makes up for it.
Same here. I like my Vibrant. I have heard over and over HTC, Motorola owners wish again and again they had a Vibrant.
I wish they didn't name the Vibrant Plus the same name as the Vibrant! FFC, nor 4g will get my to purchase. I'm holding out for an 8px camera, and a dual core.
I'm keeping my eye on phones like the Optimus 2X from LG. HTC has some promising offerings.
I like Samsungs hardware, I just don't like how they treat their customers.
No doubt, I LOVE my Vibrant... It is Samsung's politics/strategy/lack of compliance (open handset alliance) that has me annoyed.
like I said in the past, Samsung should make the hardware. leave the software updates to google.

G2 - not sure what the big deal with the loose hinge is, I don't have a problem with mine and I def don't use my phone upside down.
Nexus One - looks like there's nothing wrong with it after the exchange then but the phone is pretty outdated now It still has fantastic build quality though.
MyTouch - agreed on the QC problem; if you do get a perfect one though, you'd prob be happy with it.
I'm happy with my Vibrant right now after putting Nero on it, the only thing I have against it is the ****ty GPS.
^ agreed, the Nexus One I have is absolutely the best built phone, and most comfortable that I have ever held.
I just came to the Vibrant from a MyTouch Slide. The Slide is a decent phone, but the hardware was outdated from the start, and now it's still waiting for the 2.2 update while original MyTouches have received it.
I'm giving up on manufacturer updates altogether. Root, apply rom of choice, enjoy.

That's what I thought wwhen I bought the g2. But I don't use my phone upside down. It wobbles when I touch the screen. The upper part(one with the screen) moves up and down. Wobbles like hell.
Nexus one.- yea I got like a brand new one. didn't have much warranty left so got rid of it since I am not going to pay 60 dollars to fix the power button. Nexus one slcd has a power button flaw.after a while your power button will stop working. And if you have nexus one you probably know about the screen..doesn't have the true multitouch.
Mytouch-yea but almost impossible to get a perfect one. Like I said to send it on many times just to get the screen that doesn't wash out.
When I got it I was happy then I found bout the light leaks and ffc off centered loose battery cover.

I am one of the many unsatisfied, and thoroughly disappointed purchasers of the Galaxy S on Bell Mobility in Canada. I have had countless problems with this phone, and poor service even prior to the infamous 2.2 update causing the self destruction of the phone. My question is, when the Nexus S gets released in Canada, is it worth it? Does anyone else have problems with their Samsungs, or was the Bell version just a freak occurence, and not a true example of how Samsung manufactures their devices? Can you guys tell me how your experiences with your Samsung phones have been? I need to know if I should give them a break on this one, or stay away altogether.

Thanks for asking the question that was on my mind. Have a captivate, and have the same concerns. Waiting for the ns to come to att.
To add to the question, how is the gps?
Sent transparently through the tubes.
I have met several problems with this phone:
1, Some time NS will reboot while making a long call;
2, The backspace key will sometimes does not work, especially with the early product version.
3, Messy code may happen in SMS sent to Users in CDMA network.
That's all. You may buy the latest version of NS and update it to 2.3.3 which is said to solve the random reboot problem.
My first smartphone's the HTC Hero, then N1 and now the NS. Must say i'm loving the weight distribution and design of the NS. I do Gmask (http://www.gmask.com/) for the back of the phone so the plastic bits doesn't even bother me. Haven't had an issue with random reboots except for when i overclock it to 1400mhz and beyond. Besides, 1000mhz is more than enough to run all my required apps/games smoothly. No issue with the backspace. Best phone i had and wouldn't trade it for one that puts me at the mercy of carriers/phone manufacturers for software updates.
Only item i notice is that the GPS in the NS takes a little longer to zoom in to my location compared to the N1. It's fine if i use Maps 5.0,places etc but if i use Brut's version of Maps for navigation (Singapore doesn't have free turn by turn navigation yet) i will take a relative long time (15-20 secs compared to instantly when using the same app on the N1). Not sure if that's a problem with the outdated app or with the GPS hardware, probably the app since others work just fine.
If gps is working, and my tracks will track properly, you are +1 on me.

RIP good man. Hope you're stilll producing good music wherever you are....
Switched from the Evo to the NS - the S is clearly a higher quality device in terms of fit and finish. The Evo always creaked with light squeezing - which feels cheap to me - the battery cover was laughably flimsy, the soft-touch plastic was a little TOO soft and was easy to knick/gouge (and when this happened it revealed the red plastic underneath - looked horrible) and I always thought the button and rocker action and feedback was horrible on the Evo.
The materials are sorta meh in the S, especially compared to the N1 or iPhone 4, but the N1 was sorta overkill in that dept anyway and function seemed to follow form on the iPhone 4 (though I think it is inarguably gorgeous).
The NS feels very light in the hand, almost like its hollow. I believe that's more due to balancing and battery placement, and its not a bad thing. Just took a bit of getting used to.
Overall I think its very comparable to the iPhone 3g(s), but with a superior touch surface (I love the concave glass) and MUCH better front bezel design.

I love the build quality of both the Galacy S and Nexus S.
I've also had a Desire HD and G2, HTC's build quality leaves much to be desired. As is mentioned above, squeeze it in places and there are all kinds of creaks and groans. The G2 has too many issues to mention.
The Nexus S, although it might have a plastic back, feels very solid.
I would easily recommned the Nexus S. From a hardware persepctive the only thing wrong with it is the back gets scratched easily and if you push the back right where the USB port is you may hear a creak once in a while (the only time the cheap plastic back is really noticable). I've had one or two reboots but that's a software issue. So far I haven't had any other issues with build quality but just from shopping around I did get the impression some of the HTC products felt more "solid". However, as noted elsewhere here, love the curved glass and actually prefer the lighter feel of the phone as a whole.
I should point out that I came to the Nexus S from a Palm Pre so of course the Nexus S feels pretty much darn near unbreakable next to my old phone
Coming from a Vibrant
My NS doesn't feel as cheap/hallow as my vibrant.
But still fingerprint magnet and back cover still scratches easy so baby it if you dont use case like me
Hello everyone. I haven't received my N4 yet, but I thought I'd check out the forums a head of time to I know what the phone will be like.... But now I'm nervous about it.
Reading the forums I see there are a lot of you guys saying that there are speaker noise, rattling camera, and other defects. Is the Nexus 4 really a defective phone or are there a lot of members here with OCD? (No offense, I've had my OCD moments too)
I was getting excited for a new phone (desperately need one) but now I'm not sure. Are there any of you guys who didn't find defects with the phone and are truly happy with it? Does every Nexus phone release with some quibbles?

Quit listening to overly nitpicky people.
I came from an iPhone 5 which is arguably, in terms of production and build quality, one of the better made phones and I can tell you that the N4 is simply a great phone. I've had it for a few weeks now and am enjoying it tremendously.
I saw all the threads, and while there are a few negatives to the phone, a lot of it is very and I mean very minor. With the exception of battery life (which is another topic in itself) the phone is fine and you will love it.
I got my phone in the second batch at the end of last week. I have found zero issues or defects with my phone! Not even a tiny hairline scratch!
I love my phone. I love the way it feels. I love how smooth it is. I love everything about it and have zero hardware issues......and I'm pretty critical when it comes to the details.
My one issue had to do with AT&T and their horrible service. I switched my account around and messed with APN stuff and now thats all better
Edit: as for battery life, I got 30 hours out of a single charge with moderate use. If you use it heavily, youre going to have battery issues unfortunately but I only charge my phone every 1.5 days
No speaker noise, no rattling here. Although what I can say is, the bottom and top of the plastic rim area has slight creaking, if you push down on it hard enough (not to worry though).
The buttons annoy me quite a bit, compared to the superb build quality of the iPhone 4/4S buttons these buttons are just pfft. They creak, and require you to hit the center of the button (where it clicks) to get the desired function. The sides of the button are virtually useless and go down on the side you push. That REALLY bugs me, but I'll live.
But these 2 issues are not issues that should prevent you from getting the phone. Sure, it won't reach Apple product standards, but it reaches the top of any Android Device I've ever seen. The Gorilla Glass 2 is also very sturdy.
Better quality phones out there I'm afraid. I feel a bit let down. The n4 feels solid but yeah there seems to be a lot of issues..
It has been hyped up a lot I think. It hasn't got great battery, or camera and there's better screens out there too. The performance feels smooth but benchmarks aren't breaking. Something sucks all the juice fast too.
Build wise its solid to hold. But mine for example has loose buttons, not great.
Lots of reports of shattering glass and easy breaks. Impact tests prove this too.
Video recording is.. Ok...but sound could be better, sounds very compressed on videos. Music sounds ok but iPhone sounds better IMO.
I haven't had issues with call quality yet.
Thanks for the positive affirmation guys. I'm upgrading from an Optimus T. It was a really good phone for the price (on prepaid) and wasn't too bad all around. There were some issues of freezing and slow downs but I think that may just because of the software LG had on it, which is why I wanted a pure android device. So hopefully the N4 will fit my needs.
Hear the same ol' complaining but yet when you ask anyone if they're willing to give up their phone, no one will.. you know why? Because it's awesome.
The phone is fast, it's smooth and it's every bit what a smart phone should do.
I for one don't sit there and mash my phone between my fingers or shake my phone till the insides come loose. I had more issues with the iPhone's stupid home button that kept losing sensitivity after months of use.
With some of you guys, did the phone exceed or meet your expectations?
if ur a nitpicky kinda person (and there are a lot on XDA), then u will find faults w/the phone and feel dissatisfied. I upgraded from a Nexus S to this so I'm perfectly content w/the phone. Others who switch from equal or better phones such as the GS3/Iphone/etc might not feel the same level of satisfaction.
I'm coming from a Galaxy S III and couldn't be happier with the Nexus 4. The build quality is outstanding. The device feels solid and is very well built. The only thing I miss from the S III is how the blacks were extremely black. If you are coming from the optimus T then you will seriously enjoy the Nexus 4.

Haven't had a single problem with the N4. Had the Gnex before and even with the extended Samsung battery for the Gnex my N4 runs circles around it. I just charged it last night and it ran for 1d 15h 23m and it wasn't even dead yet. I don't use it any differently than my Gnex so I'm quite happy with the battery life. I was also connected to LTE but most of the places I go have wifi which is usually the case for most people. There's nothing wrong with the N4 people just like to be picky.
Quality is very good. Not crazy about the chrome-plated-plastic bezel and buttons, other than that it is fine.
Build quality is outstanding.
Gorgeous display (people complaining only about the limitations of the technology)
Amazingly smooth curved display. This just feels awesome to use... Blows any other glass out of the water (iPhone included) its so smooth...
If you get one with none of the normal defects (which most phones don't have) then you will get a premium phone at a decent price. I feel like I underpaid. Most people are nitpicking and should try making a phone themselves.

If you like your battery life, stick with the S3.
I am really happy with it and it is great except I really wish the headphone jack was on the bottom.
I think the quality of the nexus 4 is sshhitty. Se the YouTube link. Don't know how many got this problem. I have the same problem. Don't know what to do? I actually bought my nexus from eBay Germany and I am living in Denmark. Nexus 4 is not available in Denmark yet.

Coming from a Galaxy Nexus, the N4 exudes high-end to me. It looks very sleek. It's about the same weight. I feel more nervous about carrying around naked until my case comes in as it definitely feels more fragile due to the all-glass construction. I didn't notice much of a boost in terms of speed or responsiveness but in terms of 4g speeds it's more than double what I was getting on the GNex; I averaged about 18mb/2mb on several tests on T-Mobile, which is f'n fantastic! I tether a lot with my laptop, so this alone is worth the upgrade to me. I like to flash custom ROMs, but there really aren't many out there right now, so I'm currently running stock rooted, which I find is missing a lot of the shortcuts and features I like in the custom ROMs.
My only real gripe so far is the Clock app. I used my GNex as a bedside clock at night and on the GNex you could just tap it once and the screen would dim out to barely visible at all, but on the N4 it's way too bright in bedside mode, to the point I can't use it as a clock anymore!
Overall, verrry nice phone and build. Mine rattles near the camera, but I found my GNex does as well and so does my wife's iPhone 4. I don't see it as a defect at all. No loose buttons.
I think the Nexus 4's build quality is the one of the best among other phones. It doesn't have that plasticky, inexpensive feel that other Android phones have. This is much more on par with an iPhone. Yes, I did just compliment an Apple product. (You have to admit, they look nice.)
The glass on both sides really helps with that, and I haven't had any of the problems you've listed.
I'm one of those nitpicky guys. I have 5 different Galaxy Notes trying to find a good one. I absolutely love my N4. No issues whatsoever. Antenna good. No creaks. No yellow tinting. No scratches and I've been checking every day since it is currently without a case and I carry it in my pants pocket. Screen is really good though I do miss the amoled blacks. Battery life is great. Had 50% left at the end of the day yesterday with light to moderate use.
What is your opinion now? Still think its a good choice?
Personally i think its a great phone sold short, looking at the hardware and potential i think the handset would easy have a 2 year life span.
But i would like to see bigger modular support, things like physical keyboard, physical zoom lenses etc. And i would like to see some of the software updated a bit closer to the V20.
My biggest concern? Physically will it last 2 years? The build quality aint bad but it aint great.

Had it for 4 months, never Had a problem, just a bit of light bleeding, but it's visible only in Dark area with full brightness.
Best smartphone I ever had.
Last three were before it were Moto X Pure, Droid Turbo, and HTC M8.
I have since May, great phone. It has some issues but which phone doesn't. Ghosting happens on thia screen sometimes but nothing permanent, it goes away. I got scratches on the camera glass which is annoying (although easily replacable if you don't care about the warranty). Battery lasts around 4 hours SOT with around 30 hours of usage. I got the battery + external charger kit from Amazon for 30$ which is just great to have. Screen could be brighter. Super bright mode isn't stable enough. The camera is amazing! I love it (and I have a group of already 350 G5 photographers on Facebook). The speaker is one of the best in the market. It's fast, fingerprint sensor works great, colors are good.. I'm very happy with the phone! Oh.. important! The screen is curved on top which can be super annoying if you like to apply a tempered glass acreen protector. I don't have any issues with the build quality. I would prefer the V20 just because I like the big screen..other than that they are pretty similar. I think the G5 is the most underrated phone in the last in the last few years.
I got two of them - one for me and one for a friend. I am not really concerned about the quality, why shouldn't it last more than two years? It gives a great bang for the buck. If money isn't a concern, I would aim for the V20 (bought the G5 before it was announced and it may not be released where I live). I was with Samsung phones and Tablet for several years now but I think LG also does a good job here.
Love it. Great phone but I wouldn't have it for two years. I have Jump by T-Mobile for a reason. The only thing I hate is no matter how much they say the phone screen is scratch resistant, if I have my keys and phone in the same pocket it gets scratched. Planning on getting the V20 when it comes out. LG is taking forever to release it.

Yep, i can confirm this, and not only on my G5 but also on a S7 Edge of a friend, it seems that corning Got worse in these years on the scratch part...
I love the phone but I'm extremely disappointed in the GPS issue as I use my phone for navigation quite a lot. And my battery has never been to great. But that's probably because I'm used to the battery life I was getting on my iPhone 6 plus and Nexus 6P (wish I never sold my 6P). The camera is fantastic and as I have 2 little ones it's great for taking pictures of them.
Love my phone G5 coming from my G2 which I gave to my mother and she loves it. Camera, performance and the like are all great on my G5
GPS is fast and no issue.

Your lucky then. I try to use mine to navigate and it's hit and miss, most of the times miss and just says searching
Have had it since it rolled out. Not a single problem or issue. So impressed with it, in fact, that I recommended it to the wife and my parents when it was time for them to renew/upgrade. So now we all have g5's. Didn't recommend it to my in laws because..... They are my in laws. And because they are under the impression that "Apple is the only quality phone manufacturer". Their loss hahahaha.
I am honestly ready to throw mine through a wall. Gps is always searching and i use it alot for work. Wifi will just stop working for no reason. I am currently trying to get out of this phone. Worst phone ever.

Had mine for a month now only problem i've found is the GPS i'm gonna try some calibration software to see if there is a difference. This phone should be good for two years i think.
I like it a lot, especially camera and loudspeaker. Even better with Poetic Rugged case.
I got mine like 2 month ago and is pretty nice fast and non rooted yet just waiting how will move
I'm using it for a month now and I still can't find a flow. I like the design, love the camera, the software and hardware are doing well. Overall it's a great device. Oh, and I don't care about the moduls, don't plan to use them anyway.
Look at my warranty thread. It's been a nightmare. LG refused to switch out the housing when I sent it in, and they scratched it. Had to change the housing myself, luckily it wasn't that expensive. So far, most of the issues I had are gone. GPS is fine now, and the LCD isn't yellowing anymore.
