i dropped my X8 from balcony ~4m high on the still works good...
EDIT: accidently ofcourse
dropped mine in a tub filled with water. took me more than a minute because of the foam. still good, i think. my bro has my w8 as of now.

yeah, and for an inexpensive device, the build quality is superb. really can't believe it can withstand those conditions
Then just wait some days/ weeks, and the elecronics will start to corrodate and eventualy the x8 will die.

Not so mine went thru a wash about 2/3 months ago n it works better than it ever has. I even opened it up n there's no sign of corrosion @ all

I huffed and I puffed and I still had to format and reflash.. see how it goes this time around.. I deleted all the dock programs but still get it stuck in portrait. Might odin back later and see what happens

yes, i bought my x8 (the black one) last year in june after my old one got stolen, and i was short on cash, so i bought it with the promotion they had at 3 (three), it was 49 euros without any subscription...planned to change it after a while, but it was ok, and with all the possibilities the android world brings, didn't really feel the need to change it.
but...still...planning on upgrading to defy+ but not sure if it's worth it for now...

That's pretty cool, would love to see the high res shot. I was thinking about setting my Vibrant up in one of the anechoic chambers at work and seeing what kind of radiation is coming off this bad boy, but this is much cooler than a boring plot of RF.

Seems like water has been the end of my DHD....It's currently sat in a tub of rice on a radiator but I'm thinking it's already short circuited....Shame indeed....Luckily I can upgrade in January but it's still a sad day....Loved the phone. I'll miss this forum....
