Awesome... thanks

I just want to thank everyone for their help. I finally got my phone rooted. First time I attempted it I bricked the phone 100% wouldn't boot to download mode or into cwm got my new phone attempted the root again and worked this time flashed the rom after wiping 3x and got stuck in a reboot loop so attempted it again and now everything is working awesome. Can't get over how much faster my phone is now.

Frozen is definately a great ROM! I was running Nebula which was fast and stable, but Frozen takes it to a new level..

So far I'm really happy with it. Definitely noticed the increase in speed on my phone. Wondering of I should try bonsai dunno though

Took it to the sprint store and told them I was talking on the phone and it just shut down and froze on start up and they took it in the back and about an hour later came out with a new epic box and told me when they tried to flash the phone it crashed their computers so they gave me a brand new epic

As long as its stable I don't see any need to change it. I'm sure everyone else will tell you otherwise though.

Only thing that doesn't seem to work is profile update and prl update that's it

It works.. Took me two days before I could do it, but I was finally able to update my profile and PRL today.

I'm noticing the same thing.
Just flashed Syndicate ROM and the PRL update seems to hang on "The network is updating your PRL.
Please wait."
I'll wait to see what happens in a few days though.

Best ee03 rom out... Try it!

This is the closest to stock EE03 ROM thats out with everything working ( but voicemail ) Just try it... You want be disappointed!

Yes AA is soo smooth ... but unfortunately for me i was having major battery problems so i went back to Frozen 1.1.0

I agree, this roms is the most stable...however the profile used registers the phone as a nexus in the market and any apps your brought previously, their licenses become invalid...

I had no problem with that... But I only have one paid app

Is it bad if I am using CM7 beta as my daily driver? I have an obsession.

I think I have a CM addiction. It was on my hero, the my evo, and now that I can actually have some flavor of CM I have to use it. It surely is stable to be honest, much more stable than eg22 leak base roms. Who needs a camera and gps anyway! Not this guy! Do not judge me!

But seriously, If you can live without a camera, LEDs, GPS, WiMax, and Video Playback (according to their own thread), go for it.
I actually use all those things.

The main things I'm waiting for are GPS and WiMAX. I'll be waiting a while for the later.
I do a decent amount of traveling for my job, and rarely to the same place twice, so GPS is pretty handy.
WiMAX sure beats 3G for tethering. Airport wifi is quite annoying. Plus my favourite coffee shop has a funky router that the following devices of mine have NOT worked on:
Toshiba Satellite w/ Windows 7
Apple Macbook Pro with 10.6.8
Google CR-48
Epic 4G
T-Mob G1
I've complained to no avail. I can go without 4G for a while, but I don't think CM will be a full replacement for me until it has WiMAX support.
All of that said I'm thankful for the development we have had. When I install Cyanogen on my Epic I'm reminded of how fantastic CM6 was on my G1. The things that work work perfectly, the phone zips around, the battery holds up, the Epic port has had some very solid development and we should all remember to be thankful for what we have rather than hold unreal expectations.

Ditto. Its hard to leave 4G because I have had it since launch day of this phone. Its what 5x faster? Overclocking Cyanogen with Tegrak makes it fast as can be but when downloading anything or connecting to XDA app,etc you can really feel the difference in data speed

if your waiting for 4g to hop on the cm7 train, then you will be waiting quite a while, don't expect it anytime soon. but gps should be here soon, decad3nce said he found the fix.

EI22 GPS

I thought since developers are working on ROMS I would post this here. The EI22 GPS still sucks. I only locked 3 out of 9.
I did flash this GPS fix http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1321049 and right away locked 9 of 9. Thought if it's possible that this can be built in to the Roms?

It is in acs ice already and I will update that sometime soon.

WOW JUST WOW!
Wtf samsung! This is the reason sprint let me out of my 2 year contract after only 4 mouths. After eb13 and it was still junk on stock rom I called & got my way. See the way I see it is if sprint is going to slap there name on the phone & mess with the software they better stand behind it. And props to sprint for letting me out. Next keyboard phone better not have all the EPIC fails of the epic 4g heeh

The Best EL30 Custom Rom

CM9, wasn't for me, so I'm currently using CM7-which I love. BUT, the nightlies still haven't fixed the volume whenever you make outgoing calls and I don't like the Camera/video recorder. Since those two things haven't been fixed (And its driving me crazy) I was wondering what you guys think is a very good EL30 Rom? I'm thinking about switching to one but I don't want to sacrifice battery life and how snappy CM7 is. Just interested in seeing what you guys recommend that I should try.

There is only like 3. Just try them all and see what is best for YOU. Each phone and user is different.

You know its not like this is the evo where there's like 200 different sense 3.0 or 2.1 or 1.0+3.0 or 2.1+3.0 we just have TouchWiz Cyanogenmod and Miui not a lot to choose from

Im still trying to figure out what else I can do to my epic...i got cm9 alpha 4 on it....but besides that idk where else to go..

Before I switched over to CM9, I was on Clean GB. Before that, it was SleeperROM, but I remember finding something that I didn't like too much. I'm not putting it down or anything. Its just that one of my apps wasn't working or the camera. I forgot exactly what it was, but they're both good. I can't say about the other one. I liked Clean GB a lot. Give it a try.

tried CM7, tried MIUI (had to add a launcher becuase it was driving me crazy without one...lol) and tried CleanGB...
all very nice and unique in their own ways...
in the end, went back to Legendary Rom v2.2, after converting it from BML to MTD format....
the creators have made the install of all the roms idiot proof, it's fun to just backup/wipe as many times as you want and try them all out

SleeperRom or CleanGB are both great Roms.

And Marcusant's v4 will be out soon too. It is in beta now.

I'm using cleangb and really like it. But I noticed that even stock el30 will do just we fine. No more ciq so its a good rom really. Bonus is, everything works.

Thanks for all of the replies! I'm trying CleanGB and the battery life is....ok. I guess I got spoiled with CM7 battery. I'm just glad everything works....Will give Marcusant's new one a try once released. May even try SleeperRom. Anybody on Thunderhawk right now?

I am running it right now. Seems solid and quick. The only issue found was the twlauncher FC'd. Changed launchers and it is running nice. He has a link up for the beta.
