It just extends battery life because it turns wifi , data, gps and all application in background seervices off, so its like if u have a turned off phone.
Xperia U has that feature & its turned on in settings right?
Pls someone share xperia u settings.apk and semcsettings.apk
Thanks ^^

yes just wanted to say thats is kind a waste of time for who ever wants to works on it
Well, my actual progress is, "power mode" showing up in settings, you can enable but will get an hot-reboot and than you must reflash ROM because your arc will boot to system, hot reboot, boot to system, hot reboot etc...
I think app need to be suported by some libs , kernel and seting apk
This link explain how it works (i think so )://developer.sonymobile.com/2012/10/05/learn-about-extended-standby-mode-sonys-new-power-save-feature-video/

Hi does someone know where to. Download Walkman app which is on xgin 5. 1? I was using it but now I changed on froyobread and I really miss this app

i also want this app, useful one vote for this walkman app.
The one in xGin 5.1 is better than the one in Gingercruzt
The one in gingercruzt is sucks, it cant read any music files outside the /sdcar/music folder

Hi, I was wondering if there was an app or something that enabled the screen to lock after sliding over the phone sensor? I noticed it on other phones. Thanks!

You mean something like this?:
http://www.xda-developers.com/andro...tically-disable-display-via-proximity-sensor/
Sounds great should check out
P.S. It seems like the screen doesn't get locked if the screen is turned of from this app I mean it wont lock even the screen time out period passes.

Thanks! Hope it works!

I think this is it:

Sorry about the link I posted earlier. Now that I think about it, this may have been the app that I used (the lite version). Of course, credits to kssood

If u continue searching for these proximity apps u will get many cool apps...u may get one that changes songs with proximity or if u want to turn on your screen with proximity then install smart screen on but it is useless and draws too much battery.
Just for information purpose I post this here.if u have any problem then tell me.I will remove this post.
Remember its not legal to download and use pirated apps.u must support the original developer by buying his app. Do not apply this method unless u are in danger to lose your life .
OK so here it is...
1.Google blackmart and download the appk.
2.install it.
3.u will get the paid apps free here.best pirated appstore after applanet)
I repeat again ...don't use this method unless u are in real emergency .

Hi, my girlfriend has a Xperia X10i and the phone has problems with the wifi. I have tried several roms: official 2.3.3, feralab v20, jaf, dixperia, and X10S but the problem occurs with all of them.
The problem is, if I select the option to disable the wifi when the screen goes off, and keed wifi always on, the wifi goes of when the screen goes off, but, when the screen is on again, it doesn´t connect to the wifi automatically. I have to connect it manually.
Have you any solution to this?

I suffer the problem even with the stock rom. With custom roms y have tried stock kernel, ferakernel, doomkernel, etc
I tried the Greenpower app from Market to control Wi-Fi. You can try if it works when you don't want to connect manually.

If even stock is giving problems then it maybe a hardware problem.

Dear Arc/S users
Althought we - Arc or Arc S users - use a smart phone that come out only two year ago we can't use our telephone without custom roms, because it is very laggy, and have got lots of bugs notification led etc. with 4.0.4 update. And some users including me have privacy concerns with permission etc.
I want to call attention to advantages Firefox OS on Arc S:
1. First, I saw this video. http://youtu.be/5MzuGWFIfio. In video Firefox Browser that was very laggy on my Arc S with Custom ROM is working awesome without any lag. And the phone in the video has 256 Mb RAM. Think this os how works fast on Arc S.
2. And all Xperia 2011 series except for Arc have a Firefox OS Development Topic. We have a topic too but is not improved yet, and haven't got enought attention. I open this topic for this stuation.
3. Boot in less than 6 seconds even in MDPI devices. (This Xda Topic) (Edit 1: Firefox OS open as fast as 4.0.4 stock dialer. )
4. The small footprint of a browser based operating system means that B2G should significantly extend battery life before re-charging.(This Xda Topic)
5. B2G will be the first mobile OS to use Do Not Track at the operating system level. (This Xda Topic)
Is there a way to do a backup and transfer messages and contacts from android to firefox and return ?

Hi everyone,
Does anybody using this as main ROM? how stable talking, sms and browsing? If they are ok I will switch this and test it. I may want to contribute it.
This Thread is meant for those Who would like to share their views on the Android 4.3/4.4 updates for the Xperia SP.
Any issues or bugs that need to be looked after can also be shared.
I know this is a bit early to open a thread before the update but I don't want to be too late!
Please don't confuse this Thread with the news about Jelly bean thread. THIS IS AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT DISCUSSION.
Thanks.

I hope they further improve WiFi and get rid of the lockscreen design, I really dislike it. I miss the simple, but useful lockscreen from our 2012 Xperias (ICS build).
Xperia SP's Wi-Fi strength is poor in connectivity! The new lockscreen is more useful for me! In terms of simplicity, 2012 lockscreen was better'!
