Wifi problem - XPERIA X10 General

Hi, my girlfriend has a Xperia X10i and the phone has problems with the wifi. I have tried several roms: official 2.3.3, feralab v20, jaf, dixperia, and X10S but the problem occurs with all of them.
The problem is, if I select the option to disable the wifi when the screen goes off, and keed wifi always on, the wifi goes of when the screen goes off, but, when the screen is on again, it doesn´t connect to the wifi automatically. I have to connect it manually.
Have you any solution to this?

I suffer the problem even with the stock rom. With custom roms y have tried stock kernel, ferakernel, doomkernel, etc

I tried the Greenpower app from Market to control Wi-Fi. You can try if it works when you don't want to connect manually.

If even stock is giving problems then it maybe a hardware problem.

This is .587.
This (.587) is already available for Xperia Pro (MK16i). There's baseband only image extracted from whole firmware at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1841396
mmm yeh right believe it when I see it

And also available for the Arc S.
Not sure if it is .587.
They just pushed out .587 a week back. There's no way that would be releasing yet another version.

Yes, some bugs remains, sometime i have only one wifi bar, but wifi still works, video are still choppy. But phone apps and contact opens quick, services list show that i have around 150MB free RAM, and i can play Asphalt 6 So it's a big improvment over the 4.0.4 :good:
Test made with a fresh ARC S 587 stock with locked bootlader and root.
http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/software/phones/xperia-arc-s/
check it
this is the same as .587
Hopefully they will finally fix ics, ive tried every release from sony and EVERY one of them is bugged to f**k

Just updated my arc. Will see how it behaves. First notice phone dialpad opens in less than a sec. Messages same. Video in MX player is choppy only when i activate some of the on screen controls when they hide it is ok. Rest of the testing will be tomm. Still don't know abt skype. On last version skype was just shutting down after some time and after that took long time to start.

near all roms have little problems. I have the same problem with reboots while phone on charging. BT Headset solve that for me.
And that ist the most problem. Only rom where my BT Headset works correct is Oxygen.
If u dont need BT headset test some roms and choice best for you.

Well, my actual progress is, "power mode" showing up in settings, you can enable but will get an hot-reboot and than you must reflash ROM because your arc will boot to system, hot reboot, boot to system, hot reboot etc...
I think app need to be suported by some libs , kernel and seting apk

Lol to be honest that hasn't happened to me once yet
Just to let people know, here's some other 4.0+ bugs I noticed
Headphones plugged in and your phone playing music will make your phone overheat. Synthetic.Nightmare has a ics Rom where that problem wasn't there, it also wasn't there for sense roms.
CPU won't stay where you want it. Basically I've been shuffling through a lot of roms, and whatever I set the CPU to, it doesnt stay there, it usually goes to 768 max and 192 min. Or it goes full out and sets itself to 245max and min. This has been in all roms over 4.0 that I've used. Sadly even the sense ones.
But in the end, you gotta give some credits to the devs, our phone would have still been running cm7 if it wasn't for them.
And if anyone is reading this, do you know any ics+ roms that have beats audio ported from other devices and can set their CPU to a specific value? Mostly just the CPU thing though

Advantages of Firefox OS on Arc S

Dear Arc/S users
Althought we - Arc or Arc S users - use a smart phone that come out only two year ago we can't use our telephone without custom roms, because it is very laggy, and have got lots of bugs notification led etc. with 4.0.4 update. And some users including me have privacy concerns with permission etc.
I want to call attention to advantages Firefox OS on Arc S:
1. First, I saw this video. http://youtu.be/5MzuGWFIfio. In video Firefox Browser that was very laggy on my Arc S with Custom ROM is working awesome without any lag. And the phone in the video has 256 Mb RAM. Think this os how works fast on Arc S.
2. And all Xperia 2011 series except for Arc have a Firefox OS Development Topic. We have a topic too but is not improved yet, and haven't got enought attention. I open this topic for this stuation.
3. Boot in less than 6 seconds even in MDPI devices. (This Xda Topic) (Edit 1: Firefox OS open as fast as 4.0.4 stock dialer. )
4. The small footprint of a browser based operating system means that B2G should significantly extend battery life before re-charging.(This Xda Topic)
5. B2G will be the first mobile OS to use Do Not Track at the operating system level. (This Xda Topic)
