[CM10 BUG] No mobile data working with some operators - Huawei Ideos X5 U8800

Hi!
I'm writing this post to discuss about the no mobile data in the Ivan's CM10, please post here if your 3G works or not and which operator you use and from where you are. It's a common cyanogenmod bug, but someone fixed that (for other phones) so this post could be usefull for Ivan =)

I have Vodafone Italy too, and i had the same problem with an old cm7 from geno... I solved removing the SIM PIN, but even if i did that I wasn't able to connect to mobile data, but my SIM was detected, I've also read in internet and it is a common problem with cyanogenmod and Vodafone Italy (and some others carriers)
By the way, i also have Vodafone Italy and i don't have mobile data in cm10

Before upgrading to ics, i was running cm7 without any problem even with pin code enabled

But i had that problem only with one version of CM7, with others i had no problem...
I found that is something related with APNs, the sim isn't able to create them correctly or something like that

I asked to unlock the network with a pin!?
Using WIND Italy.

O2 rom removes WiFi Router

Hello people.
It appears that the O2 ROM for the HD2 has removed the WiFi Router utility.
Anyone know if this is likely to be restorable through an application or if it will require a complete ROM flash?

thanks i was looking for this as well
I can confirm that Tom Condon's cab from HERE installs and works well on the O2 ROM. The only thing it doesn't add is a link to the Wireless Controls HTC Sense Settings interface.
An alternative is to flash your device to the generic 1.48 ROM which installs the WiFiRouter fully intergrated into HTC Sense, again it works flawlessly on the O2 HD2. This also removes the O2 branding, but detects and installs the O2 SIM card and network settings without fault and makes your phone like a 'proper' HD2.

Cyanogen Mod 9 No Signal!!!

Hi Defy guys...and gals,
I have just installed Cyanogen Mod 9 onto my phone. All works well apart from I have no signal at all. It's not even recognising a sim card in it.
The sim is working fine because I've tested it in another phone.
Any suggestions please?
Many Thanks.

Hi there, it should be a baseband issue. So please change the baseband and try as per your location.
Settings - Advanced - Baseband Selection.
Also do some google search about SMSC number and how to update that. Guess you need to dial *#*#4636#*#* not sure please do a google search and update the relevant number and check.

i want help on an issue

Hey
Each and every time when i tried A CM ROM or A rom based on CM i got a problem. The famous, legendary problem of "no Internet or data connection".
And every time i asked DEVs to help me out of this but.......
Hey i am not alone. There are many like me facing this problem and now they are using a stock rom or a rom based on stock. I am not forcing anyone and i don't have any right to put an argumet on any DEV. I just want to try that LP version. I am just asking for help.
I have GT-I9301I.
Baseband: I9301IXXUANF2
Is there anyone who would like to help us????
@Danny_Dewet ?
@Rox ?
@sev3n1985 ?
I need those informations:
- your data operator?
- Do you have a logcat with this issue?
- Have you tried to set APN manually?

Operator is Telenor (Pakistan) 2G (EDGE)
yes i have a logcat. Which is attached.
Yes i did. I did it by myself then a asked my operator to help me in setting up APN. But no result.
Thanks buddy for your response.
And sorry for my english.
I think isn't a problem with cm or kernel but only a setting, you need to ask to your operator if:
- is migrated to ipv6 (you need to change settings)
- use hypernet
- use some strange configurations and ask him to send you a copy.
You need also to check the apn config if is correct

Activate band 20 (LTE) X829

Hi guys, I found a french thread talking about getting band 20 to work
https://www.dealabs.com/bons-plans/...dragon-820-ram-4-go-rom-64-go---gris--/333256
You need to enter this code *#*#9439#*#* , then check the check box, finally you need to reboot the phone.
Can someone confirm if this trick is working ??
Edit: sorry guys, this is to activate band 20 for 3g 800mhz
In my case when i enter *#*#9439#*#* it does absolutely nothing.

You need to be on the stock ROM (5.8.016s)
It works via secret menu app from store but i found out it is for 3G band 20 so it is useless.
Just read this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3439154

It's for starting China Telecom's CDMA (that's what the Chinese says). So nothing to do with 4G LTE at all.
