Download.php file instead of the wanted file

Hi!
I have a problem with my mail.
I use for my mail (when I check it with my qtek) a www mail client (its name is Squirrel Mail). I can see all my mails with no problem in ie, but when I try to download an attached file (there is an option with the link to download the file) it always want to download a file called download.php which is nothing!!!
With my desktop PC there are no problems with Squirrel Mail.
Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks,
Uros

Can't download email attachment

I have my AOL email account set up on my phone. I tried emailing myself a theme (.tsk file) from my desktop computer, but when I try to open the attachment, I get the following messaging error:
The attachment is of a file type that could be unsafe. Messaging will not open this attachment.
Anyone know how I can get around this. I'm using vp3G's WM6 3.6.02 ROM if that makes any difference.
Joe
solved?
yes
save the attachment first, the open the item from the main memory or storage card.
this happens if i try to send a .exe or a dll via email!

PDF Email Attachments

Hello all:
Has anyone seen this problem?
I can download and open any windows email attachment but when I try to open a pdf attachment I get the error message. "The attachment cannot be found. Download the attachment again?"
It's like it never really downloaded it.
I do have a pdf viewer and can open and view pdf's that I copy and paste into my Wing.
Thanks
Never mind
I got it.
After you download it (tap and hold) on the attachment, then a "Save As" pops up. Then simple put it where you want it. After that your app can open it.

Yahoo mail! attachment download

When I try to download a file, like a pps file I get a file called mailatt.bin instead. It's about the same size as the original file, but I can't figure out how to convert it or download the proper file name. Has anybody seen this? This is when using the yahoo mail app or the browser.
Now I have to send all my emails to Gmail and download from there.

[Q] Non-Image E-Mail Attachments?

I think I might be missing something here..
I've been trying to send a non-image file I have on my Xoom to a friend via the stock e-mail client and when I try to add an attachment it opens the "Gallery" as opposed to a file explorer like I would have expected (also side question, is there a default file explorer on the Xoom?) and the only files available for selection are images stored on the device.
Anyone have similar behavior or a work around to attach non-image files to an e-mail using the stock client?

Click to collapse
Install Astro file manager and it will give you the option to browse files.
