Installing NBA Game Time 2012-13 on HD2 - HD2 General

I'm struggling to install the 2012-13 version of NBA Game Time on my HD2. I've tried several times through Google Play and also through direct download of the apk file, but neither option has worked. When I want to install, the error message is "Couldn't install on phone storage or SD card" and when I use the apk, the error message is "Application not installed". I've unrooted my phone and loosened up more than enough space for an app that should be less than 10MB. My HD2 has the DFT NAND Android 2.2 OS installed; I use z4root to root my phone; my microSD card is 8GB total with half of that space open to whatever else I'd like to install and the phone storage displayed in the Settings menu is 63.11MB. Let me know if you need more details. I'm open to your resolutions...

Sorry for dumping this question into the general board (rookie mistake)...also, the 63MB of storage on the phone is free internal storage.

when you connect to pc via usb cable choose disc drive on phone and wait for pop up
you can then put apk files onto sd card then disconnect and navigate to apk with file explorer, open and install,
you will also have to check unknown sources in applications settings
If you are using normal froyo app2sd. Settings > applications > manage applications > go to an app and pick move to sd.
But are apps in SD slower than apps in phone?
If you have a slow sd card and the app has to support froyo app to sd

Is a class 2 SD card just fine? Or do we need at least class 6??
The higher class the better unless its a.cheap one from ebay

Since all the apps cant be installed to sd card, therefore i recommend you download "app2sd enabler" from the market. after downloading it, just go to settings>applications>manage applications. and you can move you desired apps to sd card.
I have done it with the following tutorial

good luck !
If we download the apps from the android market, how do we install them on the SD card?

I just told you, read my post above... if you have an ext partition and app2ext enabled, they move auto to your sd, you need to darktremmor for this.

If you do the following MOD, Applications which support them self to install in SD card will automatically goes to SD card.

Applications which do not have support must be installed to phone first and then have to moved to SD card through Application Manager.

"Application not installed"

I don't know when this started happening, but I can no longer install apps. When I try to install an apk from the sd card, I click install and it immediately gives the error message "Application not installed."
I was having problems installing apps from the market, as well, and read a post that suggested unmounting the sd card first, then trying to install the app from the market. This does work. However, I can't very well unmount the sd card then install an apk from it...
I did use adb to change the default install location to the sd card awhile back, but I just reset it to 0 (automatic) and I still get the same error message. I have plenty of room on both the phone and the card.
What's wrong?
This very well may be a different issue altogether, but some phones that have done this in the past have just required a cache clear in the market. Just go settings > applications > market > clear cache
Again, probably something else, but have seen this issue in alot of different android phones.

Exactly same for me from today (maybe yesterday). HTC Desire, original ROM. WTF? I was already thinking about virus, but probobly its stupid idea. What's going on?
I cannot install apps from SD nor from Market.
I had an issue with this too kept getting "unknown reason 18" put new SD card in and no problems since

Yea, your sd card is dead. A new one will fix the issue.

It's probably not a dead sd card, but more likely to be a single file.
You need to delete smdl2tmp1.asec from the .android-secure folder on the sd. You can't see this file with an on phone file manager, so you either have to use terminal emulator, or connect to a pc..

How are you looking at the .android-secure folder because as stated earlier, you cannot see the contents from the phone, you have to mount to a PC...

rom memory

I own a hd2 with the lates nand hyperdroid rom, and a a2sd partition on my 16 gig sd card.
Now, my phone's memory is full at the moment. I cant even update my current apps due to low memory. So I deleted 5 apps worth of 4 mb. However i can't still update for example the shazam app, which is a 1,5 mb upgrade.
Now, my questions are.
1. If I delete 4 mb worth of apps, why can't I still update the shazam app? 4-1,5 would mean I have 2,5 mb left, right?
2. Second, how can updating apps cost so much memory. Sometimes I need to deleted a few apps in order to update some apps to the newest version. I assumed a new app version wouldn't cost a lot of extra memory.
3. in titanium backup I see there is 28,9 of system rom, 26,3 of internal memory and 800 mb of a2sd left. How come it says memory is full?4
4. Is there a solution to installing more apps?
I'm sorry if my questions are a bit vage, but it's just frustrating that I cannot install the apps I want.

try going into settings and than applications than manage it should show you a list under downloaded. go into some of your apps you downloaded not widgets or important things that you use like button savior cause they wont wont when on sd card. youll see an option to move to sd card move it wait for it to say move to phone than its complete do that to a couple of apps then try to update the app, but take shazaam out of sd card if its there then try to upgrade it if it doesnt work. or back up all your apps than reflash.

Hi,
I noticed when I moved apps to my sd card using SuperBox,that it moved the app,but left the data on the phone.
If you have apps with large amounts of data(saves, etc.),these will be causing your problem.
Try using root Explorer or something similar and look into the cache folder. Apk files that you download from market are saved there sometimes. You can delete them there. You also can move your dalvik to sdext. Easiest way is a2sdgui.

[Q] Game question!

Okay so there is this Despicable Me: Minion rush game for android.
When I install it from playstore, it installs normally.
The problem is that like all other games, i wanted to hack money in this game too!
But when I download the game apk + sd data [ as we do with other games] and install the game, when I run the game, it says that "there is not enough memory in the sd card. free up 71mb space."
But I have about 14Gb free space in the sd card and about 400mb internal memory. What is the problem. Is it that the game version that is on the internet is not compatible with the huawei U8800?.What should I do?
Can I do this:
Install the game from playstore and then just replace the downloaded sd data with the modded sd data?
That only works if the apk an the sd data are from the same version

Hacking games to defeat the "in-app" purchase, is against XDA rules.

1. root
2. instal "foldermount" from google play (and do what you want)
all bigest app like game etc you may mount that way (system don-t see it but this file is there .....its genius)
.....and thats it
cheers
I've tried foldermount but failed. I am direct installing apps to sdcard with builtin feature. Foldermount fails to move files and it showing a error in statusbar. So how can I move files like facebook data files from /data/data/ folder to sdcard, thus I can save internal memory. Pls help.

have you root your device or configure the folder on folder mount correctly? working perfectly on my A3000, but if you still fail, you can try update the frimware, it'll split your internal drive, search for a3000 frimware that doesnt contain fuse names
hope it'll help

Small games like temple of run, subway surfers, I think you can move them from app manager,
just go to "setting" then select "apps', then select "downloaded", now tap the app which you want to move to sd card, there you will found an option "move to sd card" just select this option and you are done
But for those apps you can't move using app manager you can move them with folder mount or using 3rd party app manager like app 2 sd, just Google it
