INSTALL:

For a clean install follow these simple steps:
1 - Boot in recovery
CWR (5.0.2.7.) Steps:
1.1 - wipe data / factory reset
1.2 - wipe cache partition
1.3 -advanced -> Wipe Dalvik Cache
1.4 - mounts and storage -> format /cache
1.5 - mounts and storage -> format /system
1.6 - mounts and storage -> format /data
1.7 - advanced -> Reboot Recovery
...rebooting recovery...
1.8 - install zip from sdcard -> choose zip from sdcard -> miuiportugal_u8800_2.11.2.1_AIO_Signed.zip;
1.9 - Once the process ends - reboot system now;
2 - The first boot:
2.1 - If you want to change it to english go to Definições -> Idioma e teclado -> Idioma -> English (United States);
2.2 - Install a Google Playstore through Supermarket app... (Just a suggestion so you guys get your usual market app).
For a better memory usage I suggest you activate the SWAP function under Settings -> Additional...

It seems that the FC we get after every boot when sim is insert still exists (android.phone has stopped working)... this is still not fixed or am i doing something wrong while updating???

You mean by SIM insert as in PIN insert? If that is your question, then yes, it's still unsolved... But it's stated at the master post...
If it's not that "FC" you are talking about, then I really can't quite figure out, since no one mentioned anything about FC's...

What version? I'm on latest 2.10.26. I also never had this problem before, only with this version. Will post in MIUIPT forums about this, maybe they might be able to help.

No, this is happening with a clean install. Anyway, it has been already confirmed in MIUI PT forums, let's see if it gets fixed in next version. Like always, there's no u8800 that works the same way

Hi there!
I have a small problem with the latest MIUI, both miuiportugal and geno's release. When I go to Themes app and open one theme, if I choose the lower left button to access its separate parts (lockscreen, status bar, wallpaper etc.) the app FCs.
I think it is a permission problem because I fixed permissions with CWMto fix the bootloop I had after flashing the update. The system/app permissions are correct though...
I tried wiping the data of the themes app from app settings but with no effect. I also tried using the ThemeManager.apk from the previous version but still... I wiped cache/dalvik cache and reflashed also...
Any ideas?

I read on the below mentioned page that adding new cities to TF3D was really easy, and they were right,
the only problem is that i don't want to install something that I'm only going to use once

So I created my own version, which does the same as the WeatherDatabaseEditor from andreas.falke
with the exception that it requires minimal user intervention so it can be used in SDConfig.txt or similar solutions.
Also if your country is not listed it will make a new entry in the country list.
It has been tested on my MDA Compact4 (Diamond + Dutty's V1.7 Rom)
And it works like a charm, let me know what you think
I'm not sure if it will work on any other device, but because the Diamond is the first of many TF3D devices
the generic "Development & Hacking" forum seemed to be a better choice,
MODs please move this topic if you think it should be in the Diamond App's section.
Currently you'll get a popup when the app is completed, I might change this in future version(s)
Don't forget to edit locations.txt prior to running the app!
Requirements:
- CF.Net, I tested this with 3.5 not sure if it works with 2.0
How To:
1. Save/Unzip (I advise in the internal Storage) just put the files in a folder.
2. Edit locations.txt, there are already a couple locations in there, Region is optional and first line can be ignored.
3. run CmdWC3.exe
4. To be save do a softreset
To Do :
1. Remove the currently selected Cities (or atleast an option to remove them)
2. Make popup optional
3. new version which has an interface, silent operation would be done by arguments "\Storage card\CmdWC3.exe Silent"

I recently changed to the udK Syrius HD Rom, but CmdWC3 didn't work, so
made a new version.
My advise, First run Version 3, if this doesn't work run version 5
Restart* and you should be able to select the proper city.
At least that was what I did with the Syrius Rom.
*I just tried with restarting TF3D only and that also seems to do the trick.
Please let me know if it worked (or not) and which Rom you are using.

if so what is the foldername of the Windows folder?

The Windows Folder is called "Windows", also standard.
but your cab .exe file is in the internal 4GB Storage, called "Interner Speicher" in german.

The internal Storage naming sholdn't be an issue, I think it has to do with Bepe's rom, the orriginal idea (and application) has the same issue

which one are you using premium, basic or lite?
I know TLR has tweaked TF3D to be uninstallable (whatever that may mean)
so there are some diffrences..
Could you check if you have the 2330fc3c_manila and _2330fc3c_manila (in \Windows folder)?
could be that they are hidden...

Small update, I've checked bepe 0.97
it seems that he's using a slightly different version of 2330fc3c_manila
which doesn't have the Countries listed, also
the application cannot change the properties of the file to be able to write to it...
Checking if the Countries are mentioned is not the problem, fixed that already
it is setting the file overwritable thats the issue..
I'm sorry but i don't see a solution besides manually copy pasting a already fixed 2330fc3c_manila & _2330fc3c_manila to the windoes folder...

I can post it but it could very well be my user error. I know that when listing cities in the U.S. the go in a little diffrently on all of the Accuweather programs. How is your command line program set up to recieve the US cities and I will try that first.

It is complaining about the ' character. I believe your SQL statement is getting confused by the ' in "St. John's" and "SAINT JOHN'S". You need to make sure when you read from the text file you encapsulate the string with quotes like "<string>" before you try to insert into the DB...

Thank you all for the hard work. I tried to restore and got this error so I flashed Khal's back right away. Love the new boot logo! lol. So I still have the boot logo can I just remove the MD5 folders and just restore the normal 4 files now? Thanks for any advice

Hello again, here is a mini guide to install custom themes in kyrillos rom v9
What about themes? How can i know if a theme is compatible with kyrillos rom?
- Firstly, you have to check it it supports nine lockscreen. (If it doesnt, contact the developer of the theme and ask him to enable his theme 9 lockscreen support). Here is a thread that has the theme list, so you can easily find a theme.
- You can replace any of the theme files EXCEPT: Settings.apk, android.policy.jar, framework.jar, services.jar. If you do replace any if those, your phone will bootloop. (If it is a CWM zip file, just open it and delete the above files.)
- Enjoy the theme

I get bootloops on installing update.zip on Kyrillos 9.1 , Kyorarom 0.4 , deodexed jp6 as well ... first two are 9 lockscreen and other 5 lockscreen mod ..

Working fine for me
If you are currently using a Stock ROM and have a Synaptics screen you should be fine.
To check what screen you have do the following:
- Dial *#*#2846579#*#*
- Go to projectmenu > veneer information query > apparatus type query
- Check screen type.

Mine is unlocked so that will not be a problem

Already ahve recovery installed!
No need to backup in ClockworkMod as it will not restore correctly any once you upgrade to 2.3.
- Download 2.3.5 from Here: DOWNLOAD
- Copy the dload folder to the [ROOT] of your SD Card.
- Power on the phone while holding [VOL-] and [VOL+] and [POWER].
- Let it do its thing, and you should then be on 2.3.5
- Follow THIS GUIDE to remove all the bundled apps.

Just re-install the Apps after you have updated.
Contacts will auto sync back to your phone if you have them linked to your Google Account.

No just re-install apps after update and if your contacts are linked to your Google Account they will auto restore when you re-add your Google Account.
This is an Official Firmware Update so your warranty should not be affected

I see lots of people complaining about wifi problems, some of them dont even recieve calls, long sms arrive time!
IDK, a little affraid of the update here!

It is final version and working fine for me
At the end of the day its up to you if you want to try or not, you can always downgrade.

You have to press the right hand button at the bottom and drag around yourself.
Firstly, I'm not an android developer, just someone who wanted to have this feature and decided to do it myself with the help of information on XDA and google. So my thanks goes to XDA for having this wonderful forum where users can share information to benefit the entire community. I thought there would be many like me who would want to have this feature on stock ROM and decided to share this.
Secondly as this is my first post I was not sure where to post it and therefore if this does not qualify for posting here the moderator may move this to the appropriate forum.
This patch is for i9295 on stock CNE5 deodexed ROM
FEATURES
-----------------
- Active Display
- Quick pin unlock (for pin and password)
- Double tap to sleep on lockscreen
- Wakelock for Secmms removed
KNOWN ISSUES
-------------------------
Lockscreen settings for when pin selected, Quick pin unlock and Double tap to sleep for some reason default to unchecked. It is ok when password is selected though but nevertheless works fine just select it if you want it to work before exit. I am not able to figure out the issue and would love some help here

- Take a nandroid backup
- Flash zip using ClockworkMod recovery
- Wipe cache
- Wipe dalvik cache
- Reboot
- Enjoy!
In case any issues faced restore nandroid backup select advanced option and restore system only.
