new build that i can confirmed myself it works, fixed white bootscreen. do refer screenshots as proof.

requirement: obviously ur galaxy ace with fw S5830XWKPN installed
howto install: copy Update_Deodex_Root_S5830XWKPN_Signed.zip to ur microsd card, and just flash via default recovery.
howto install this and still got latest cfroot b80 kernel support:
1- flash my Update_Deodex_Root_S5830XWKPN_Signed.zip zip package via default recovery.
2- flash CF-Root-S5830-v3.7-b78_recovery.zip via default recovery.
3- flash CF-Root-S5830-v3.7-b80_boot.zip via cwm.
issue: doesnt work if u flash this via cwm. see above.

thanks! Did you apply CRT animation? Most of the time, adding # to the debug line causes the white bootscreen.

afaik, cfroot never included deodex, incuding the latest b80 for S5830XWKPN.

Not working! update installed but phone still not rooted.

I manage to flash, i mount system, but stuck at white boot animation. If flashed not mounting system it will boot but nothing happens not rooted,no user.

yeah. my phone is rooted. i have the superuser app.
what i did was flash XWKPN through odin. flash cf-root b78 through odin. flash cf-root b80 through cwm. then flash update.zip through cwm.

hmm. seems like u guys got alot of problem using this one. i just create another one, this one comfirmed to work on a virgin install of XWKPN. and also i've fixed white flashed bootscreen problem. uploading as we speak.. maybe will finish upload in a hour or so because my connection speed not as godspeed as u guys

[Q] help in making APPS Flashable for SGT7

Hi..
I got this idea just dont know how to do it..
can someone help me in building a flashable zip file just like GAPPS but the apps will not be treated as system file once installed(hope its possible),
In my case i comfile all the APK of all the apps that im using and install it one by one in between build if its possible to make the flashable zip file, reinstalling of all my APPS will be one installation all process.
this will help us alot in between updates of new build ROM.
i hope i explain it clearly.

[PORT/PATCH][STOCK CNE5] Patch ROM to get Active Display + quick unlock on lockscreen

Firstly, I'm not an android developer, just someone who wanted to have this feature and decided to do it myself with the help of information on XDA and google. So my thanks goes to XDA for having this wonderful forum where users can share information to benefit the entire community. I thought there would be many like me who would want to have this feature on stock ROM and decided to share this.
Secondly as this is my first post I was not sure where to post it and therefore if this does not qualify for posting here the moderator may move this to the appropriate forum.
This patch is for i9295 on stock CNE5 deodexed ROM
FEATURES

- Active Display
- Quick pin unlock (for pin and password)
- Double tap to sleep on lockscreen
- Wakelock for Secmms removed
KNOWN ISSUES
-------------------------
Lockscreen settings for when pin selected, Quick pin unlock and Double tap to sleep for some reason default to unchecked. It is ok when password is selected though but nevertheless works fine just select it if you want it to work before exit. I am not able to figure out the issue and would love some help here

- Take a nandroid backup
- Flash zip using ClockworkMod recovery
- Wipe cache
- Wipe dalvik cache
- Reboot
- Enjoy!
In case any issues faced restore nandroid backup select advanced option and restore system only.

The signature reflects the specific models I purchased and the amount of ram/rom they had. As such it appears accurate to me.

it's 16 GB and 32 GB, if it was MB you wouldn't even install anything

The short answer, and it's not intended to be ugly, is that if you have to ask it's not a file you should be installing.
It's easier to get it from the system updater....this is primarily intended for folks doing rom work or want to extract the patches to see what might be applied to the other models. It could be sideloaded via twrp for the specific firmware/model listed if they needed to for a particular reason.

It died on verifying system because I don't have that Google bloat installed. Oh well.

Quick question. I've flashed .bin files via odin, what do I do here?

It's simply a renamed zip. Change .bin to .zip and you can open it.

@purple.epod and others....I'm uploading an unrooted system image with boot (we need the kernel to match the system) to mega and will post the url when it completes tomorrow sometime. That file can be used to flash via twrp to the latest version and skip all the interim steps. Keep an eye out for it.

The average user should use the file being uploaded in the system image thread. This url was for folks doing work on rom's.

also iam guessing this issue is magisk in rom had this issue with a30 also so ill redo one with it removed see if it changes

Seriosuly, to check snaps, everyone will have to download 1.8GB file? Why cannot you share the snaps here?
Also, to download such a huge file, one has to have Mega account, which is not the right thing. Please upload snaps here.
Moreover, upload the ROM somewhere else and not Mega, I am not gonna create account with the application just for the Snaps,or the ROM. Use AFH or SF.

Does Good lock work?

Tried both the ROMs with and without magisk. Unfortunately, none of them seem to work. The one without Magisk gets stuck at Extracting boot and and the other gets stuck at the point some other user pointed out on page 1.
