I'm switching from sprint to verizon and was thinking of getting a motorola but I've always had HTC and flash roms quite often so was just wondering if anything is in the works

I am wanting to change providers from T-Mobile to Virgin Mobile, and I will only use Android devices.
Now, the question is:
Is there any plans to have custom ROMs/FWs for the Intercept?
The stock ROM on this phone doesnt work well with the display. It makes everything look broken up & it is not displayed well.
I would like to see a Sense ROM ported over, since my first Android phone was a Sprint Hero, then the Evo, and now I use custom Sense ROMs on any Android Device I use. Which is why I want this phone to see some custom ROM love, so I could make the switch.
What are your thoughts, and which Custom ROM would you pick for this phone if we can get a Dev to help port?

There are alot of custom roms for these phones already most of the dev work if not all just doesn't happen on this forum. check out this and you'll see what's been going on with them so far.
I think is problem of display not the rom, I have original rom and use task killer, and few apps only, running smooth and fast.
Problem now with intercept is just resolution was too low, if you are nearsighted like me then is ok, since most thing is blurry in my point of view without my glasses on, but if not, those resolution will make you feel the pain sometime.
But overall intercept have great COST/PERFORMANCE value, that is what make a true low end cellphone shine.
And best part is 800mhz, not so hard to tweak it to 1GHZ. or even 900.
Hi all,
Ive just got a an Atrix and I muct say i quite like the stock rom. Ive played around with and got into custom roms on my last phone (LG optimus 2x), I was going to immediately d othe same with this one but i actually like stock rom whereas I hated the lg stock.
Anyway after some time i might change but for now im ok, i bought the phone in china and it came already rooted, its a French retail version.
So my question is there some way to improve the motoblur widgets? The clock and calender widget doesnt update with time and date.
Also do the current custom ROMS have working fingerprint readers?
thanks.
first of all, welcome.
to your first question regarding Widgets, I honestly do not know.
as far as ROMs, there's a sticky about atrix noobs that you should read. includes all the ROMs and those threads show what works and what doesn't.
enjoy.
So I live in NYC and signed a contract with Sprint last year only to regret it nearly instantly when I saw how crappy the service is around here. The only thing I love about having my Sprint S3 is the ease of rooting and flashing custom ROMs. Now I know the Note 3 is a brand new device, but it seems like Verizon is the only provider that locks their bootloader (Correct me if I'm wrong here) making it currently impossible to flash any kind of custom ROM on the device.
So I figured I'd come here and ask a few questions before taking the jump and cancelling my contract with Sprint and switching to Verizon.
1. Will the device/bootloader ever be unlocked? I notice the S4 on Verizon has a good amount of ROMs and I'm guessing the bootloader was also locked on that when it was first released.
2. How is service in the NYC area?
3. Anyone know if there's any plans to develop AOSP/CM ROMs for the Note 3? I know some of the features of the Note require TouchWiz, but I just like having the option of choosing a AOSP or TW ROM.
Thanks in advance for anyone who chimes in. Again, sorry for the stupid questions, but I don't want to dive in and then be stuck with a device that I can't update or flash something new when I get bored.

1. Extremely unlikely the bootloader will ever be unlocked. Hashcode is developing/testing safestrap for our device which will allow us to flash tw based roms but more than likely no kernels. In the future software updates may be tied to bootloader updates which could render root and or safestrap useless. If flashing different roms is a priority buy the dev edition when it comes back in stock.
2. Verizons coverage is the best hands down. I live in S Jersey and recently switched from Sprint myself. It's a night and day difference.
3. From what i understand safestrap only allows tw based roms to be flashed. If aosp is important, again buy the dev edition.
Verizons coverage in ny is fine. And to be honest I dont think the bootloader may ever be unlocked or atleast anytime soon

Definitely sad to hear that
Hi Guys,
Is there a stable ROM for S5 on Tmobile?
I've been using custom ROMS for the past few months and I'm having real problems with a lot of glitches. I've tried at least 5 different roms that I found on this section and I'm running into issues like text messages not being delivered and getting them a day late. I understand that these ROMS are underdevelopment but still, my user experience for my S5 has really gone down hill to a point where I almost want to get an Iphone 6 just to have everything work. This is my own problem and I want to fix it.
Is there any alternative or should I just install the stock Samsung Software back?
I currently have a Galaxy Note 4 and have been having some ridiculous issues with the device in terms of functionality. Any custom ROM has broken some combination of bluetooth, safetynet, mms, mobile data, and/or the camera. Stock ROMs have literally no hotspot option in the ROM, no matter which I flash. I'm getting tired of trying to play patchwork, so I want to jump ship.
I am interested in the V20, but can't find clear answers on what I'm looking for, so I figured I'd ask here.
For the LG V20 Sprint Variant [LS997] is there:
-A hotspot mod for unlimited tethering through mobile data for a stock ROM?
OR
-A custom ROM that is known to have full functionality (SMS/MMS/Bluetooth/Hotspot) all working (and the ROM is designed for/compatible with the Sprint variant)?
Either passing safetynet is a huge bonus, but not required.
Hate to say but this help area sucks
