Hello all,
Does anyone here use PocketCM (an iPhone-like application for contacts)? It's a great program and works really well except when I try to install and select a new theme. When I go to the settings and press "Choose Theme", it only lets me choose one theme (the defaul), and I can't scroll over or anything to select a different theme. I hope this makes sense, and I hope someone out there knows something about this. I was gonna post in the forum on PocketCM's website, but I can't register in it for some reason. Please help me out if you can! Thanks!

no harm dude, but i think almost everyone here uses pocketcm lol
How does one search for a contact with this pocketcm ? Dont tell me one has to go click on every alphabet? Say I want to look for Jayne - cant I just type Jay etc and out pops Jane or wutever else?

No. You can slide your finger down either the left or right side of the touchscreen and when you release your finger it will jump to that alphabet in your list.

Yes. Just start typing and PocketCM will narrow down your list of contacts which match the characters you typed.

Haha, I wasn't sure.
Anyway, I guess another question is, does anyone have trouble when sliding, and the program will just randomly decide that you meant to press on a name instead of sliding? If that makes sense...?

Its just a matter of gettin used to it. I still have trouble scrolling tho. Not very consistent.

Errr type where??
I use PocketCM also. I do experience a little glitch when searching the contact alphabetically, when scrolling from the left; it will sometimes show my favorite contacts instead. Does anyone experience this also?

Pocket CM disappointment
I'm actually pretty disappointed when it comes to this app, for a two reasons:
1) it randomly hangs: sometimes when I'm scrolling the display just stops working and in my impatience i continue to click and before I know it I've either called someone that I didn't mean to, or i've opened someone for editing.
2) side scroll (alphabetically) does not work worth a damn. It NEVER goes to the letter that I specify, always stops short. I would say that this happens randomly... but no, it happens consistently, every time. Any ideas what is causing this? The only time is seems to work is when I'm going upwards.
Does anyone have any ideas about these two problems ?

I don't have any ideas about those two problems (sorry), but I'm also a little disappointed with the app. Like why I orinigally started this thread, it's such a hassle for me to install new skins because it doesn't work like it's supposed to. Or the inconsistent scrolling, or the hanging like you mentioned.
Also, (although this is minor), has anyone else noticed that if you leave Pocket CM open and go back to the Today screen, and lock the buttons, the top eighth of the screen or so shows the Pocket CM app, and everything else is the Today screen? Does that make sense? Anyway, it's a minor detail, but it's kind of a sore-sight. Has anyone been able to fix this?
I'm gonna feel like a fool asking this but I want to change up the order of my Sense scroll home tabs again. However I can't remeber how I did it originally can someone point me in the right direction. I thought you went to Settings tab > Personalize > Home Screen tabs but I don't have a Personalize option.
would i be right thinking your settings tab no longer shows personalize, and starts at security?

lol yes mrsteel, that gets overlooked far more often than anybody would ever suspect
So Im just gettin started on modding my HD2, Ive got a lot to learn. I started with the easy stuff and loaded CHT. I notced that after it was loaded I couldnt manage the navigation bar tabs. In order to add, move or rearrange the tabs that are there I have to remove CHT and then make the changes. Is this normal? Is there another way to manage the tabs with CHT?
Also, I loaded BSB at the same. It never crossed my mind until now that maybe that is where the problem is. Could that be true?

Word +1 It is there...you just have to look a little harder. Save yourself some lost time!
Well, thats my problem. The "Personalize" tab disappears after I load CHT. When I remove it, the tab comes back. Ill post up a screen shot this evening.

I bet you it's still there...you just have to use your finger to swipe-scroll up and down the list of options there on the settings tab.

I always hear, "When you assume, you make an ass of you and me." And, well, I assumed the menu would reset to the top tab lol.
i'm asking this because it sucks when i want to get to the bottom of a contacts list or a long text file and I have to scroll it down manually. only some apps support the movement of the "scroll button" on the right (i hope you get what i mean, it's where the button gets bigger). is there any work around to this?
yeah i guess your right. Some of the system menus have that bigger "quick scroll" button, some dont. If the ones that dont end up having many items in them they can annoying, even though the momentum scrolling can go really fast its still not ideal. Unless there is something I am not aware of, I would have to agree with you

i'm using the latest nexushd2.
I don't see how it sucks.... Not matter how long the file is, you just flick it up quickly and it will most likely scroll right to the bottom. Obviously depending on how many lines but it won't take you 20 times to scroll....

but still, the ability to go straight to the bottom would be nice. imagine if you're in a life or death situation where your life depends on a data at the bottom of a text file.
You suck at the scrolling of the names maybe? Maybe your phone make seperate post that say "do human with tiny fingers suck at scrolling maybe".................

Put google search widget on home. Type name of contact. The name pop right up in search after 2-3 letters.

Don't blame Android, blame the dev of the app that doesn't have it. Android provides the option, and some apps are better off without such a quick scroll handle, so I'm glad it's an option and not forced.

I updated leaked lollipop 5.0 version my Note 3, 9005 exactly like guidelines told here (this forum is heaven on earth, thanks), everything seems to went well, except a "little" issues what i found: I don´t have screen pinning option and multiple users option (found that i´m not the only one), but the biggest issue which i found that - what the heck - I dont have quick settings panel at all and didn´t find any thread considering this kind of issue .
And yes, I do know how to use a phone Believe me, it just isn´t there, I thought also myself that this girl has lost her brains when i try to swipe and do all the magic tricks hoping to find the mystic panel. But no.
Please could Somebody help me on this one. :good:

That's extremely weird! You mean the the five icons which you get by pulling down with one finger on status bar right? So what are you getting when you pull down, nothing?
Did you make a full wipe before flashing the ROM?
Well, nothing. It looks exactly as it was previous version 4.4x.
Except those "S finder" and "quick connection" buttons, see picture. What i have seen, the panel not suppose to look like this, see picture?
Is this weird or maybe it´s me?

If that screenshot is how you are having the quick settings panel then its normal and that's how it looks on LP.

There was supposed to be a special tab when you use two fingers to swipe from the top screen and have the ability to turn on flashlight and switch users. I don't have it either. How do you switch users? Go in guest mode?
Yes, exactly same here.
Although I don't have a guest mode at all and no silence mode (icon) anywhere so I think this failed.
